I'm sorry you had to go through what you did. There's a saying in the Talmud, "God keeps close those he loves the best". The meaning of that is that through pain we learn empathy for others. I do not see that people who have suffered serious abuse should be the kindest people in the world. I also underwent serious abuse as a child. I did not automatically become a kind and loving person. I was mostly a confused person until I got help. And it took a long time to recover.
It takes a lot of work and determination to get to a place where one can see the long line of abuse and pain that has happened before the abuser got to you. Here is my definition of Zionism:
Zionism is a political movement hatched in the 19th century, inspired by European ethnic-nationlist & colonial movements of the time. These movements believed that every “nationality” must have a defined territory for its own exclusive use. So the Zionists decided that Jews everywhere were not actually nationals of their countries, but rather an entirely different national group who could never truly become French, English, or any other nationality. Thus, they believed that they should all leave and form their own state in Palestine, displacing the prior inhabitants.
