Yes, looking at the climate crisis is uncomfortable. That's why everyone found it so enjoyable to sneer at Thunberg using her size, age and sex; partly why she was chosen as the controlled face of the genuine movement. They also thought that they could control her. They got that wrong.
Looking at the reality of 2 degrees of warming by 2035 at the latest (accelerated by Israel's bombing of Gaza) and all the agricultural failures and migrations this will cause is painful.
That's why most people believe what they're told by the Man about it.
They'll never be a harmonious world until we can at least face the reality of what we're doing to the world and all the other species on it.
Maybe we can. This “civilisation” road is thousands of years old, but this species was here for a 100 thousand years before that. Perhaps they knew something we have forgotten, but may still exist somewhere in our psyches. Let us hope it’s there and retrievable.
I share your pessimism. Like you, the only glimmer of hope I harbor centers on the existence of an infinite number of alternate dimensions, one or more of which is likely to be a dimension of peace and sanity.
"We can not face reality." Go ahead, try talking with your friends about the reality we're in - they'll HATE you, call you an ASSHOLE, a KNOW-IT-ALL, etc., etc. - sadly, most people will always choose the beautiful lie over the ugly truth
Though man has done a good job trashing the planet, the elephant in the sky remains hidden to most. There can be no legitimate discussion regarding the climate without first mentioning what is going on in the sky above us. That's those airplanes leaving tic tak toing white trails above.
Solar radiation management, aka geoengineering is compounding our problems while being promoted as a tool to help slow global warming. The climate isn't changing, it's being manipulated.
In addition, weather warfare is the crown jewel of the military industrial complex. Drought conditions one arear, pummeling rain in others.
I have no opinion of Greta one way or another. However, anyone claiming to be concerned about the damage being done to the planet must start with geoengineering. For more info, geoengineeringwatch.org with Dane Wigington.
"He who controls the weather controls the world." LBJ 1962
Yes, airplanes leave trails and sometimes they linger depending on the humidity and conditions. There’s no evidence that they are part of a plot and if they were they would cause cooling not warming. I’ve looked at geoengineeringwatch and it seems to be sensationalised pictures of people in hazmat suits but sitting indoors on computers. https://jowaller.substack.com/p/climate-change-hasnt-been-debunked?utm_source=publication-search
SRM is opposed by most climate scientists, is at the testing stage, is very limited, it would again cause cooling and cannot explain the observed faster warming in winters and nights like co2 emissions can. Weather modification such as cloud seeding is not being used as warfare and also doesn’t explain observed reality.
The climate is indeed being changed by humans, with emissions and changes in land use for animal ag. To believe that it’s caused by conspirators is a joke.
"Weather modification such as cloud seeding is not being used as warfare............."Was there a time when something that could be used by the military for warfare was not used? Anything? I'm unaware of such a time. This is particularly true with something as potentially effective as destroying the livelihood of your perceived adversary while blaming mother nature.
Making it rain a bit in Dubai does not destroy livelihoods, though, of course, it does mess with the system.
Yes, AI and satnavs are being used to make enemy planes fly into mountains. Drones and robots do what humans can’t do.
But saying that human climate change is not caused by warfare, fossil fuels and animal ag but by chemtrails, a few tests on SRM in the stratosphere and cloud seeding is just stupid.
However, climate colonialism is destroying livelihoods. The more the West continues to make war, burn and deforest, the more the poor and the Global South will continue to suffer the consequences of the climate crisis. The more crops will fail, the more people will die.
I can only speak for myself. Yes, the rising earth's temperatures are partly a result of human activity. So, to ward of this problem, the powers that shouldn't be decided to start dimming the sun to buy a little time.
This has caused additional problems like the thinning of the ozone layer.
Solar radiation management, aka geoengineering, is different from cloud seeding. Weather warfare is using patented technology, easily readable on the internet, to achieve various agendas.
For example, Hurricane Helene was not normal. The rainfall totals were not normal. The agendas involved? I'll leave that up to readers if they want to investigate.
Hurricane Helene was of course a normal event of extreme weather being more extreme due to human induced climate and environmental change. The agendas involved in claiming that it was deliberate and not part of anthropogenic climate change which should be addressed? I'll leave it up to readers if they want to investigate.
Welcome to substack, Francis/Clare - this is 'Conspiracy Central' - where conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, etc. of the world seem to congregate (other than places like 4chan, 8kun, and the like).
Cloud seeding is done with small aircraft with visible tanks, and has zero to do with (mostly water) vapor trails left by commercial jet planes.
The real threat to the environment is that there are too many of us for the earth to support, and our overpopulation is driving all other life forms to extinction. The powers that be are not in favor of limiting our exploding birth rates because they want an unlimited supply of canon fodder and slave labor, which is why they took over and subverted the message of Zero Population Growth and obliterated this truth from the public consciousness. These rich overlords are short sighted, blinded by too much money, and thus cannot see the inevitable result when Mother Nature takes over at the helm of population control. It won't be pretty.
Overpopulation has never, and will never, be an issue. It's resource distribution and rate of consumption.
Every single "overpopulation" rant I have seen assumes that the US generic white picket fence suburban household is how we should live, despite the fact that it has always been a hyperunsustainable system reliant of mass genocide and imperialism on a global scale.
Population growth trends *downward* when people live in stable conditions, not up. Get over yourself.
I've just seen a post saying that driving a Tesla does something to the blood. The health freedom movement has completely discredited itself by falling for this nonsense that was deliberately targeted at them by the Heartland Institute and other organisations funded by big fossil fuel, arms and animal ag (pharma's biggest client) about a WEF conspiracy faking climate change with geoengineering to depopulate and destroy the West.
There's no evidence that disease is caused by invisible contagions (though of course stress may cause bacteria to proliferate). Vaccines appear to be useless and harmful (though they don't constitute a genocide). But no one is listening. They think we're all mad.
You can disagree all you want - with anything and everything - Israeli Zionists ALSO disagree with there being a real Genocide (and many other things). They (Israeli Zionists) also have their OWN evidence.
Go knock yourself out - but don't expect to be taken seriously by others (just as Israeli Zionists are not taken at faith value for their beliefs).
Oh so I'm a genocide apologist for questioning the scientific evidence and what we're told by giant cartels like big pharma (and Israel) who are in bed with governments.
Down this thread (which I don't see as myself because a few cowards there blocked me) one of them Lisa H (aka Francis/Clare) claims to be so old that "Big pharma wasn't so big then.".
Since she blocked me she won't see this but I wish she read John Yudkin's "Pure, White, and Deadly".
Polio is not caused by an invisible contagion. It is caused by a virus which is too small to be seen by the naked eye but which can seen with the aid of an electron microscope. This is not an assertion; it is established fact.
Does the polio vaccine work? Yes, and that is also an established fact. It is not something you decide by reading whatever you choose to read on the internet.
Is gravity real? You can probably find contrary views on the internet, or you can test it yourself by jumping out of a second-story window. I encourage you to try it.
Polio is ‘invisible’ under EM too. How come ‘they’ (ie things that look like what people think viruses should look like, ie tiny round artefacts) are never found in ‘positive’ samples from patients and only in stressed cell cultures? How are these things that are said to be causative of disease (and not perhaps the result of it) been shown to be transmissible and pathogenic particles when the process of EM immobilises them in resin? https://jowaller.substack.com/p/seeing-is-believing
Things like the polio vaccine working are only ‘established’ facts if you confine yourself to pharma marketing website wikipedia. Noting the number of deaths from a disease and noting when the vaccine was introduced (after all sorts of other changes in public health such as sanitiation, banning of DDT and improved housing) doesn’t prove vaccine efficacy nor vaccine effectiveness (which are different things). The measles vaccine eg was introduced in 1968 when morbidity and mortality from the detox event called ‘measles’ was already virtually zero. The mRNA Pfizer jab in tests had an absolute efficacy (at preventing common symptoms) of 0.85%, not clinically significant. You might have to look up the difference between absolute and relative efficacy.
I’m not going to address your silly last point. You’re not a serious questioning person.
No it was not magic. It was the banning of DDT and the reclassification of the common and uncommon symptoms of polio 'Polio has common symptoms of detoxification such as fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, sore throat, stomach pain, headache, stiffness in the neck and limbs as well as sometimes acute paralysis (mostly in summer months when most spraying happened) and death, and was claimed by doctors to be one disease'
as other diseases
'In 1955, the year the Salk vaccine for polio was introduced, patients with symptoms of aseptic meningitis and coxsackie virus were no longer included in a diagnosis of polio. A concerted effect was also made to distinguish conditions such as acute flaccid paralysis, transverse myelitis, Reye’s syndrome, GBS and chronic fatigue syndrome that would have previously been labelled as polio. These changes made the vaccine appear effective against polio, although it wasn’t.'
Why do I bother writing and linking to posts if people just comment without reading them.
Gaza has nothing to do with vanity projects like man made climate change, something created precisely to weaken Christianity and sidetrack us from confronting those behind real evil.
Palestine has oilfields. That’s why the British Empire colonized it, more than a hundred years ago. The American fossil fuels industries want to continue extracting, processing and burning of fossil fuels. The industry executives know that they are damaging the environment but hope to maximize their profits before total catastrophe hits them.
The oilfields in Palestine are insignificant to the energy resources of the rest of the MENA region (same goes for natural gas).
The British Empire did NOT colonize the MENA region (including Palestine) due to oil (at least not until the first quarter of the 20th Century, and by then their colonial empire was already declining). If you look at the history of the Ottoman Empire (Turks) and Western colonization of West Asia, it began way before OIL was discovered in the MENA region. (https://www.encyclopedia.com/science/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/oil-discovered-middle-east)
The British Empire colonized the MENA region because that's what they attempted to do EVERYWHERE - Africa, Asia, Americas, etc.
Insignificant compared to the wealth of fossil fuels in the region maybe, but not insignificant.
'Israel’s invasion of Gaza in December 2008 brought the Palestinian gas fields under Israeli control—without regard for international law.'
'The total oil and gas reserves were valued at a staggering $524 billion in 2019. But Israel does not have sole legal entitlement to the $524 billion, according to a UN report published in the same year. Not only is some of the $524 billion sourced from within the Occupied Territory of Palestine, much of the rest sits outside national borders in the deep sea, and thus should be shared with all relevant parties. The report questions the national right to these resources given they took millions of years to form—and that Palestinians occupied the whole territory until Israel’s recent formal creation.'
Still irrelevant. The oil and gas in Palestine is not (and has never been) the reason behind Israel's settler-colonial policies in the greater Levant.
The 'oil and gas narrative' is a red herring. Israel would STILL be pursuing similar policies and agendas regardless of the presence of 'oil and gas' in Palestine. Also, don't forget the importance of water in the region (i.e. ground water reserves) in Palestine (before it was Israel).
but don’t forget Israel would STILL be pursuing similar poliices and agendas regardless of the preseence of ‘ground water reserves’. No one is saying they wouldn’t I am merely saying that the presence of gas is not insignificant to Western interests.
For those who may be interested, here are some pertinent links to the history of Palestine that pertain to the oil/gas interests. The Wikipedia entries are not very explicit about the oil/gas interests include in secret agreements, including Sykes-Picot, but the "Sykes-Picot line" did include consideration for access to petroleum for the Royal Navy.
"Imperial strategists maintained that this was necessary to protect the northern approaches to the Suez Canal (and therefore the routes to India), as well as to keep control of the oil fields around Abadan (which gained greatly in strategic importance once the Royal Navy made the shift from coal to oil in 1914). "
{In his doctoral thesis, Gibson discusses the part played by oil in British strategic thinking at the time and mentions the Mosul vilayet as the largest potential oilfield and France's agreement in 1918 to agree to its inclusion in the Iraq Mandate (the Clemenceau Lloyd George Agreement) in exchange for "a share of the oil and British support elsewhere".[55]}
As Chang Chokaski has stated, there were a myriad of issues behind the capture of Palestine. The British and French governments had ambitions to capture the entire Levant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levant
All of this may appear to be boring, today. Let me simplify by asking "cui bono" -- or "Who benefits", from the illegal invasions of Palestine and other countries of the Levant, today?
The fossil fuels companies have commercial interests in the Levant. The defense contractors have interests in selling more weapons of mass destruction to the US government, to be conveyed to Israel. Those defense contractors also want their weapons to be sold to any buyers in the Middle East and North Africa, but our current focus is upon Palestine.
Businesses that rely upon shipments through the Suez Canal and the Straits of the Bosporus certainly want the protection of the US Navy, even though the Canal and Bosporus are not US properties. Such security was a major concern, a century ago, when the British Navy was far superior to that of the USA. Is it still a concern, today. What does any of that have to do with Palestine, aside from the fact the Israel is a de facto US military base that monitors all pertinent international activity of the Middle East and Russia?
The argument that Palestine must be purged in order to make a home for Jews is bogus. The British Empire created Eretz Israel as a home for Zionists -- not Jews. The British and American Empires were not eager to accept Jews and Jewish refugees, a century ago. Several Jewish scholars have written that most Jews, if given a choice, did not prefer to emigrate to Israel, but Zionists did.
Again, who is benefiting from the slaughter of Palestinians who are defending their traditional homeland of the past 2,000 years?
In addition to its global imperial ambitions, the British Empire also wanted strategic control of all commerce through the eastern and of the Mediterranean Sea all the way to India and China, long before the discovery of petroleum in the Levant region of the Ottoman Empire.
While WWI allegedly ended in November of 1917, the British continued to fight against the Turks until sometime in the year 2022. John D. Rockefeller of Standard Oil proposed that the Brits didn’t need to conquer Asia Minor for petroleum. Standard Oil would establish oil rigs and pipelines built by Turkish labor, and would pay approximately half of the oil proceeds to the “Young Turks” government.
The American Empire was okay with that and conceded with the British and the Turks to support the ethnic cleansing of Greeks, Jews and remaining Armenians from Asia Minor, via the “Population Exchange” of 1922-1923 as part of the deal.
The current location of Eretz Israel is a strategic base of the USA, serving as a listing post and staging area for military control of access to all oil fields of the Middle East.
Today, control of oil is still significant to the US global corporate empire. That significance will become moot as the world transitions to clean energy.
CK, why are you relaying factual information to me that is NOT relevant to the crux of the argument? - i.e. "Palestine has oilfields. That’s why the British Empire colonized it" which I directly REFUTED.
None of the 'factual information' has anything to do with the point of contention.
I don’t refute your factual statements. I believe that most people reading this are unaware of most of the narratives that you and I have posted.
Perhaps I should clarify by stating that the British imperialist motives for colonizing Palestine — coincidentally at the time of discovery of oil — are no longer pertinent. The American Empire, however, is still motivated by the fossil fuels industries’ desire to control access to all of the oil and gas fields of the Middle East. Eretz Israel is a convenient cover for the US military operations, there.
The USA also has military bases in other nearby countries, but Eretz Israel may be the only other one that possesses nuclear weapons.
My argument is that when fossil fuels become insignificant, Palestine and all other countries of the Middle East will become insignificant for exploitation.
Christianity is a mockery of inner spirituality and always has been. You can't even agree on what your supposed holy book is supposed to say, much less who you should listen too read from it.
I have admired and followed Greta Thunberg since she appeared out of the void, sitting gallantly as a child to bring attention and sense to the madness destroying our beautiful world. She is a force to behold and like a magnet attracted and repelled. Now she with others are challenging the horrific blockade by Empire and its cohorts that contribute to the Gazan genocide that by thirst and famine will kill tens of thousands of innocents.
I look back at some of my personal heroes who in the face of danger speak truth to power. At present certainly Caitlin falls into this category. I think of Howard Zinn, who wrote The People’s History of the United States. A quote from Zinn which fits into what Caitlin discussed today:
“The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.”
I also think of a neighbor here in Maine, an artist, Robert Shetterly, who took on a project of highlighting Americans Who Tell The Truth. His paintings of our heroes with quotes has been an ongoing inspiration. Check him out.
I’m currently reading Gloria Steinem, one of my heroes, ‘My Life on the Road’. She talks about the many different voices were represented on Ms Foundation board until one day she realised there were no Native american ones. She talks of the dignity and grace of Indians constantly betrayed by the settlers and of how women were involved at all levels of their democracy- which looked more like one than the Greek European model that allowed the ownership of slaves and also excluded women.
There is wisdom in all of our beings. Our mission is to not let it be suppressed, ignored or crushed. Whatever the circumstances of our lives, what is it telling us?
Yeah... the climate crisis (and possible collapse in the future at our current rate; Venus 2.0) is something a lot of people are **(very*** uncomfortable talking about or simply acknowledging as a possibility.
What use is belief in a God and an afterlife if everything is dead and gone after all, there's nobody to know you're there (which is really all afterlife beliefs are about, that being remembrance postmortem.).
Thunberg understands her life, and the lives of anyone younger than her, are on a timer to extinction and the only way to stop that timer is to take immediate direct action regardless of current social consequences.
Have you watched any of the late Michael Dowd, a.k.a. Reverend Reality's Youtube post-doom videos? I think he provided a useful bridge between what Caitlin is saying and the overwhelming facts of the climate crisis and biodiversity collapse [the latter of which I wish we'd spoken about more during the two or three years I was doing XR actions].
Seeking the truth in order to understand what TRUTH is requires a commitment. For now, we are able to read articles about TRUTH like this one by Caitlin. I just finished reading a three-part series written by @TheDissident about the Zionist-controlled entity known as Palantir. This company represents one of the greatest threats to our freedoms. Knowing about this kind of evil is important for anyone who wants to understand just how close we are coming to being completely controlled by a Fascist government. The greatest weapon against Zionism and Fascism is TRUTH; it is the light that sends these cockroaches scattering for cover. Spread TRUTH at every chance you get.
Jimmy Dore, Kim Iverson and others are covering this on YouTube. I usually don’t care for Jimmy, but this was excellent and he explains what Palantir is doing. It’s not just a Trump thing. It’s a rerun of total information awareness that congress refused to pass because of how it attacks our freedoms. And after Trump is gone the next president will use it. And the next…
My last action for this evening, Caitlin. I just signed the USPCR Congress-critter letter re the Madleen, now in international waters between Sicily and Gaza. I'm the merest bump on the log, but I mailed the letter request to 46 people on my list including the initiator -- the indefatigable Ann Wright.
I salute you Caitlin - your restless witness to the obscenities we have to confront each day is a comfort and a model. Agree 100% that we must face our own darker instincts and behaviours too and not simply project it all onto ‘them’ the real baddies. I’ve been helped on that journey through 12 step frameworks over the years but there are many other paths to honest reckonings. Yes agree it comes down to courage versus fear and the paradox that lots of folk don’t realise is that the more reality we can bear, the better we feel, the more agency we acquire and the less victimised we feel. Thank you CJ!
It takes the most courage to recognize one may suffer even pay the ultimate price and most people, no one will even know it. Preparing for that is tough.
Yes, and Palantir and others are making sure that "they" know who we are and how we can be silenced. I think it's going to be a photo-finish in the race between freedom and ZioFascism.
We—the Americans—are the bad guys, and we have been for decades. Yes, that’s painful to admit. And it’s very hard for me to know what to do about it. I’m shouting as loudly as I can.
Get this. Our Christian tradition records that an insane God faulted his own creation for some stupid sin, and threw out and cursed Adam and Eve. First huge Trauma. How can we recover from such a legacy ? Thousands of years and the best we can do is Gaza and Ukraine! We are supremely fucked. A cursed planet. This is beyond fixing. Look what assaults on the environment and humans is happening right ñow on US soil and soul in Virginia with the building of giant data centers. It never ends on this cursed planet!
Vera, I agree with you completely. The only way to save this breathtakingly beautiful planet and the other-than-human species is for Homo sapiens ( I refuse to call us “humanity”) to DISAPPEAR.
Mother Earth needs to vomit us out like the detritus that we are in order that this earth can reset itself and allow species who cause no harm to flourish.
"Lies are comforting. Truth is scary.". Respectfully, disagree. As a youth, like many, I lived within a community based on numerous official lies. Yes, it felt safe, but I never really felt comfortable. There was always this sense that something was deeply wrong which made me highly uncomfortable and somewhat self destructive. One might call it an ever present inchoate anxiety. Those normies that never challenge the Imperialist narrative, that focus only on their personal life experience, family, etc, they really aren't as happy as they look. At this stage of collapse, you'd have to be on some pretty heavy meds to not at least notice that things aren't right. And I think this is a cause for hope. Revolutionary sentiments develop when working people just cannot live as they used to. That's where we are today. To quote a wise guy: "Everyone responds differently to a political argument, but everyone responds the same way to a hot poker.". We are in the hot poker phase of history, when it's next to impossible not to notice that every authority, every school, all media every courthouse, basically everything is set up in such a way as to hurt the majority of the population and aid a tiny minority.
>>"you'd have to be on some pretty heavy meds to not at least notice that things aren't right."
It's not that people don't notice. It's that many people simply don't care. There is a difference between knowing something and caring enough about it to actually DO something to change things.
Again. Respectfully disagree. Those that don't care are a small number and most are members of the ruling class and their flunkies. Don't believe me? Stand on any busy corner and say "End the genocide" for an hour or two. You'll be shocked at what support you'll find. The real problem is one of leadership and organization. If the wage slaves see a viable offramp they will flood into it. Build it and they will indeed come!
>>"Those that don't care are a small number and most are members of the ruling class and their flunkies."
Not so. You'd be surprised if you got out more into the real world (on a global level).
As to your 'anecdotal evidence' (i.e. personal experience) that you base your assumptions/beliefs upon, that's exactly what it is - one sample data point in an ocean of data points. To extrapolate your assumptions on YOUR experiences alone leads to faulty conclusions.
Again, you seem to misunderstand (or not weight adequately) the difference between 'noticing', 'verbal support', etc. and ACTUAL MEANINGFUL ACTION (as in protests, sit-ins, and so many others).
The reality is (whether you wish to notice and admit it or not) that NOT ENOUGH people CARE DEEPLY ENOUGH to do something about it. The ones that do are, unfortunately, in the minority.
>>"Build it and they will indeed come!"
This 'build it and they will come' philosophy does not pan out (in the business world or otherwise). Think of how many product failures there have been in the business world for starters. No, just "build it and they will come" is an irrational (though optimistic) philosophy. One needs to build the RIGHT things (or movements) at the apporpriate times and target it towards appropriate segments of the population (people), and more.
One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust wars.”

Global March To Gaza is a civic, apolitical, and independent movement. We do not represent any political party, ideology, or religion. We represent the people, in all their diversity and humanism. Our only guiding principles are justice, human dignity, and peace.
But….. Gad is good! So glad you are out here championing so relentlessly. I have thought of things alongside what you are saying and I find, almost, the roots flowing from monotheism. The big three, which seem tailor made for the kind of cowardice that so subverts. Noone is coming to fix it! No Messiah or Messiah deu. From Deuteronomy, the most apt book of the mumbo jumbo canon, our Western capacity to justify killing has just grown and grown. Can we live without this God, who demands so much blood sacrifice.
I agree that what we need is courage; however, I think we err when we think the diseased state of civilization is not a relatively recent, in terms of the life of humanity, perversion of ancient, deeply evolve values and principles.
I disagree with this comment: "The transition into a healthy and harmonious world will be a great leap into the complete unknown, because it will be a shift into something that has never existed on this planet before. That leap will not be made until we are ready to make it, come what may." We know a great deal, through anthropological and archeological science, about the 300,000 yrs of homo sapien evolution and the radical shift about 12,000 yrs ago from a "healthy and harmonious" world of equality, sharing, and non-violence (no lethal group conflict for 300,000 yrs shows up, while thousands of cases after the shift to "civilization.), which prevailed.
But with the new inventions of a shift to a sedentary, settled lifestyle, came exploitation and war. The primary invention was property, which led to haves and have not, ie inequality, economic classes, then masters and slaves, the rule of the masters in the state, with religion to justify the rule of the masters (divine authorization), and war to seize the "property" of others. These invented institutions did not exit in the prior 300,000 yrs and mark the beginning of the end for a healthy and harmonious world, leading to a world of power, destruction, and dysfunction.
To regain that world, first we must study our past to understand its values of equality and sharing and non-violence; only when we understand our long evolutionary legacy, which has been betrayed, can we begin to reclaim it. I would argue that democratic socialism, egalitarianism, veganism, and pacifism are all echoes of our lost past.
And so let us have the courage to admit that we are living in contradiction to our evolutionary heritage of inborn trust, altruism, and cooperation,as a way to break away from the traditions we have adopted (tradition has the same roots as betrayal) and work to reclaim our evolutionary true selves, with a civilization based on our roots in cooperation and equality, as the foundation of creating a world that reclaims our ancient rights. This is a vision that Marx, in his wisest formulation, expressed as a society in which each gave according to his abilities, and each received according to his needs. This is not a utopian vision but rather a memory of what we have lost.
>>"...only when we understand our long evolutionary legacy, which has been betrayed, can we begin to reclaim it."
Yes, Dale, you can wait until the end of eternity to "UNDERSTAND IT", while other people take concrete ACTION right NOW to combat the evils of our time.
But sure, go ahead and pontificate and 'virtue signal' from the comfort of your home if that is what you desire (and what seems to make you happy).
It's not a dream but a realization that we have an evolutionary legacy in our DNA (Neuroscientists report that trust, altruism, and cooperation are inherited traits) that we can reclaim if we are to end our alienation from our own inner evolved nature. It's not a dream but a memory of what is possible, and thus a platform for action, not to realize a dream but to reclaim a birthright.
I love the idea. It just seems like such a remote possibility, considering the stranglehold that TPTB have over us, especially including the media. I like your optimism, though.
Joni Mitchell: We've got to get ourselves back to the garden.
Half a century later and we've just gotten farther and farther away from the vision we had.
Revolutions happen all the time. The Chinese Revolution that brought the Communists to power, after a chaotic start, has now produced a state that has doubled life expectancy, raised per capital income from $200 a yr to $12,000 (which is worth, in purchasing power, 3 times as much) and is amazing the world with its economic and technological achievements, a socialist nation, using the private sector to help build the wealth needed for a communist society, on the path to an advanced communism that, in an advanced world, reclaims the values of the primitive communism of the 300,000 yrs of homo sapien evolution. The powers that be want us to believe that change is not possible, but they would not do that if they did not know that change is the one contact of history. My mission is to help people understand what is necessary to act to reclaim our birthright, that we are, in fact, evolved as a cooperative people, with inherited trust, altruism, and cooperation, and that slavery and war only were invented, with the invention of private property, about 10,000 yrs ago, after 300,000 yrs of primitive communism, which was egalitarian, sharing, and without war. Until we understand we are evolved to live in such a world, we will never understand how to reclaim it....
I would say that both cooperation and violence are part of our DNA, as we see in chimpanzees, our closest relatives. If violence were not part of our DNA then agriculture and organized civilization would not have led to war. https://www.history.com/articles/when-did-humans-start-waging-wars
The Chinese Revolution hurt many fine educated people. The current regime destroyed Tibetan culture, oppresses the Uighur people and regularly threatens Taiwan.
I just ordered the book, The Paradox of Goodness, which deals with this paradox. The author studied chimps with Jane Goodel for decades. I want to read it to challenge my thesis that we evolved for 300,000 yrs without ANY (zero...pretty compelling data) lethal group conflict. Then with the new inventions of property and inequality, masters and slaves, classes and hiararchis, top-down rule, religion, and war, everything changed.
Neurotscientists report that we still have the old DNA in us, tho we are manipulated into betrayng it by fighting wars, etc. Trust is inherited; distrust must be learned. That tells us that our older inheritance still dominates and that if we "alter or abolish (to cite the Declaration of INdependence justiyng revolution) " our institutions, we can overcome the alienation we experience by living in contradiction to our evolutionary nature as sharing peaceful beings, born to trust, by replacing property, inequality, hierarchy, and violence with the values still intact in our DNA, based on trust, altrusim, an cooperation....and in this revolution and reclaiming of values that we inherited from those 300,000 yrs, we can overcome the fabricated "nature" that we are molded into from birth, teaching us to hate, to distrust, to compete, to fight. I am open to being persuaded otherwise, which is why I am going to read the man who studies chimps, but we have as much in common with bonobos who are a peaceful primate. "bonobos are notably peaceful and cooperative, especially compared to their close relatives, chimpanzees. And genetically, we share about 98.7–99% of our DNA with bonobos—roughly the same amount as with chimpanzees. But behaviorally, the differences are stark.
✅ Bonobo behavior: peaceful and cooperative
Bonobos are often described as the most egalitarian and least violent of the great apes:
Low aggression: Bonobos rarely engage in lethal violence. Male dominance is weak, and there’s no known case of a bonobo killing another bonobo in the wild—a striking contrast to chimps.
Female cooperation: Females form strong coalitions that curb male aggression and reduce dominance hierarchies.
Conflict resolution through sex: Bonobos use sexual behavior (including same-sex interactions) to diffuse tension, form bonds, and resolve conflict—a unique trait among primates.
Food sharing: They're more likely to share food with unrelated individuals than chimpanzees, and even with strangers in lab experiments." To claim we are lie chimps is to deny that homo sapien evolution, for 95% of its duration, was bonobo-like, not chimp like,is to recognize the truth, as I see it, base on the evidence of centuries of peaceful bonobo like behavior, which favored survival and today, even more so.
We can not face reality. The assaults on earth and our psyche continue unabated. Thousands of years of insane behaviors.
Maybe we can. This “civilisation” road is thousands of years old, but this species was here for a 100 thousand years before that. Perhaps they knew something we have forgotten, but may still exist somewhere in our psyches. Let us hope it’s there and retrievable.
It is a hopeless hope. Maybe, on another planet or in another Dimension.
Yep. Happened to me the other day.
Like I said. People hear what they want to hear.
I agree. SRM is complete crap in itself and as a way to avoid addressing climate change . I've written about it at length. https://jowaller.substack.com/p/im-anti-vax-and-anti-geoengineering?utm_source=publication-search
Hurricane Helene was of course a normal event of extreme weather being more extreme due to human induced climate and environmental change. The agendas involved in claiming that it was deliberate and not part of anthropogenic climate change which should be addressed? I'll leave it up to readers if they want to investigate.
Just when we most need a massive dose of truth and reality, we find a conspiracy theorist under every rock.
Welcome to substack, Francis/Clare - this is 'Conspiracy Central' - where conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, etc. of the world seem to congregate (other than places like 4chan, 8kun, and the like).
Expert my friend expert : )
Watch Snowpiercer
Overpopulation has never, and will never, be an issue. It's resource distribution and rate of consumption.
Every single "overpopulation" rant I have seen assumes that the US generic white picket fence suburban household is how we should live, despite the fact that it has always been a hyperunsustainable system reliant of mass genocide and imperialism on a global scale.
Population growth trends *downward* when people live in stable conditions, not up. Get over yourself.
👆Truth
It's not population it's the activity of the richest 10% of them. https://jowaller.substack.com/p/davos-have-even-turned-equality-into?utm_source=publication-search
It's both.
>>"There's no evidence that disease is caused by invisible contagions"
No wonder people don't take you seriously on 'climate change' (or any topic) with a statement like that.
>>"Vaccines appear to be useless..."
You're worse than the climate change skeptics that you argue against.
So I’m not allowed to disagree with the evidence, or lack of, for any of your opinions or I am as bad as a climate change skeptics.
Great debating with you.
Polio
This made me laugh out loud. What about polio? Is is caused by toxins or invisible contagions? Did the vaccine help in anyway? You decide https://jowaller.substack.com/p/toxicology-vs-virology-the-rockefeller?utm_source=publication-search
Trolls love the circular arguments. I appreciate your efforts though : )
Love your response Duane McPherson! Thank you!
So it disappeared by magic lol?
Please stop assuming there's some kind of global conspiracy that billions are in on to fuck with you personally.
It's an absurd egotistical stance and makes people ignore your actual points.
Caitlin's whole premise is that the Empire is not only out to fuck with us personally but has already achieved this aim.
Gaza has nothing to do with vanity projects like man made climate change, something created precisely to weaken Christianity and sidetrack us from confronting those behind real evil.
Also, "Christianity" is weakening itself, especially American Christianity, which has completely lost the plot of the gospels.
Hypocrisy is a major religion — almost as powerful as Capitalism.
Many Americans may worship Jesus for an hour on Sunday, and then worship Moloch during the rest of their week.
Your interest seems to be in being contrary.
Jo Waller,
For those who may be interested, here are some pertinent links to the history of Palestine that pertain to the oil/gas interests. The Wikipedia entries are not very explicit about the oil/gas interests include in secret agreements, including Sykes-Picot, but the "Sykes-Picot line" did include consideration for access to petroleum for the Royal Navy.
https://encyclopedia.1914-1918-online.net/article/sykes-picot-agreement/
"Imperial strategists maintained that this was necessary to protect the northern approaches to the Suez Canal (and therefore the routes to India), as well as to keep control of the oil fields around Abadan (which gained greatly in strategic importance once the Royal Navy made the shift from coal to oil in 1914). "
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sykes%E2%80%93Picot_Agreement
{In his doctoral thesis, Gibson discusses the part played by oil in British strategic thinking at the time and mentions the Mosul vilayet as the largest potential oilfield and France's agreement in 1918 to agree to its inclusion in the Iraq Mandate (the Clemenceau Lloyd George Agreement) in exchange for "a share of the oil and British support elsewhere".[55]}

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Palestine
Chang Chokaski,
In addition to its global imperial ambitions, the British Empire also wanted strategic control of all commerce through the eastern and of the Mediterranean Sea all the way to India and China, long before the discovery of petroleum in the Levant region of the Ottoman Empire.

Fuck your skydaddy.
We say truth politics. That is the theme of center for Truth Politics green-liberty.org/ctp

Where can I find @TheDissident. I googled it and only see a film ?

THANK YOU !
Viva Palestine! Dammit, Viva Falasteen!
Heartfelt thanks for your morality, strength & insight and your wonderful writing. And yes, your courage too.
Freedom Flotillas are attempting to send real, humanitarian aid to Gaza. They can use our help. Now!
https://freedomflotilla.org/donate/
This moment requires honest and courage from all of us. And, even if scary at first, they will get us to a better place. Thanks for posting, Caitlin.
It might be a photo finish between AI models - Chinese, if/when they beat us to it, or "the good guys" in America.
Frankly I'm wondering if it's better to let the bad guys win this one.
We—the Americans—are the bad guys, and we have been for decades. Yes, that’s painful to admit. And it’s very hard for me to know what to do about it. I’m shouting as loudly as I can.
I don’t know enough about Xi or China, but based on OUR behavior I’d have to agree with you.
Yes. That's it exactly.
Begone fascist.
And fuck off, little girl.
If you don’t believe Homo sapiens is on its way out, you’re even more ignorant than you appear.

Global March To Gaza is a civic, apolitical, and independent movement. We do not represent any political party, ideology, or religion. We represent the people, in all their diversity and humanism. Our only guiding principles are justice, human dignity, and peace.

I’m 62 years old and still trembling on this path. But I cannot stop. Thank you Caitlin. May we all get to peace one day.
“It can be downright terrifying to seek spiritual enlightenment only to discover that it entails losing yourself and your entire world.”
Thank you for telling it like it is.
To die to self is to find eternal life or enlightenment... A paradox that contains much truth.
A leap of faith. Every day.
Ah, the hater is back.
Weak comeback Dale Ruff, try again.
A beautiful dream.
