I salute you Caitlin - your restless witness to the obscenities we have to confront each day is a comfort and a model. Agree 100% that we must face our own darker instincts and behaviours too and not simply project it all onto ‘them’ the real baddies. I’ve been helped on that journey through 12 step frameworks over the years but there are many other paths to honest reckonings. Yes agree it comes down to courage versus fear and the paradox that lots of folk don’t realise is that the more reality we can bear, the better we feel, the more agency we acquire and the less victimised we feel.
