Defecating on the Bill of Rights is negating whatever it was that theoretically made America great. Hence the entire MAGA endeavor shoots itself in the foot . . . while it supports indiscriminate murder. Anger and Grief seem the only sane emotional responses to this level of hypocrisy.

MAGA is 🐂💩. America was NEVER great, just lucky and we have squandered our luck.

I can't really disagree, which is why I said "theoretically". I was taking the de Tocqueville view -- the potentiality . . . which never manifested as true greatness because corruption and untrammeled hubris birthed it as Native genocide, chattel slavery, manifest destiny, and imperialism.

Interesting take. Made my twisted mind think of this -- Some comedian should do a video, dressing in 18th century garb to impersonate de Tocqueville. Start by reading from his writings extolling the new country and its bill of rights. Then ominous music. Then de Tocqueville reappears looking near death and terribly troubled and shouts in half English, half French: "mais non, bon dieu, you stupide culs just had to fuck it all up".

The ideas percolating, circulating, and bouncing around and off all the edges of my brain are too "emotionally charged" to be openly expressed in public spaces - you know what I mean.....that's where I'm at.....having looked at previous revolutions in history (and how evil forces have been overcome in the past), what's needed may involve an immense amount of death and destruction (and pain for everyone) and a changing of world order.....

I don't know.... I'm an athiest, but if I'm wrong and there is a God, then God please do something!!!

Actually, I don't call on him for anything - but I do respect the concept of God and the neccessity for humans to believe in such a concept.

I don't praise God (something that is man-made), but I do show gratitude for many things and attribute it to many things (but not God).

When I am down and hurting, I approach the situation without the need for believing in the concept of 'God'.

If believing in God works for you (as it works for billions of others), then by all means go ahead - I will support you in your beliefs (as it does not interfere with my beliefs - I am a humanist and NOT a militant athiest).

Yes, it is going to get much worse...

My beliefs in God are complex - like Schrödinger's cat or the double-slit experiment in Quantum mechanics that shows wave-particle duality - i.e. I BOTH believe AND NOT believe in God at the same time (yes, this is difficult for many to comprehend).

I hold two contradictory beliefs (that normally cancel each other out) in my brain. When it's time to think logically (and scientifically), the NO GOD belief takes over. When it's time for emotions, the YES GOD belief takes over. Surprisingly, BOTH these beliefs are in harmony in my mind - hence it doesn't really matter to me if someone believes (or does not believe) in God.

What is more important (IMHO), is morality, hurting other people, doing good in the world, helping others, etc. One doesn't neccessarily need to believe in God to be 'a force for good' in the world.

I definitely like your optimism, but like others, I'm old, feeling older than Methuselah waiting for the sheep to awaken; having proselytized thousands of students about the ridiculous injustices of our sociopolitical systems and witnessing the fairly low percentage whose thinking has actually transformed. So forgive my impatience, but we old a-holes are probably being selfish, seeing ourselves dead before the steps you clearly lay out can be accomplished.

I'm old too, Vin. Thank you for your efforts over the years while I was a Neocon Dupe.

Like you I think of my mortality. I recall Pink Floyd's lyrics, "Shorter of breath and one day closer to death".☠️ Our clocks are ticking and we must make best use of our time.

I'll be 70 years old this year and I'm still lively, active and enjoying my cigars. The cigars got me off cigarettes and I feel ten years younger. People underestimate my age. I guess my point is we must fight for our lives. The weapons are Nutrition, Exercise and Rest. The three aspects of yourself are Body, Mind and Spirit. Nurture all of them.

I'm a fortunate man. I'm filthy rich because I want everything I have and don't need much. I so fervently wish we could all be!🕊️

My mind and spirit are still entirely with you, but sadly an old physical wound from middle age has called "no mas" on my musculoskeletal apparatus over the past five yrs. So I do what I can physically, but those limitations tend to screw with my attitude, while as you say trying to make best use of my time.

I have to make up for the damage I've done as a Neocon Dupe. It took 20 years to straighten me out. I found an online mentor Larry Kummer host of the website fabiusmaximus com. It was he who introduced me to Caitlin! The article was her masterpiece about the Narrative Matrix.

Over that period I was educated by bloggers like Caitlin. Alternative media journalists exposed the abuse of the Palestinians by the zionists. I knew an explosion of revolt was bound to happen. It did on October 7, 2023 and it reminded me of October 14, 1943.

It has become personal, you are dead right. In so many ways. As a 6th generation outspoken, Australian, who cherishes democracy, equal human rights for all and freedom of speech, I have never before experienced this feeling of verbal restriction and handicapping. I have been personally attacked by "friends" who aren't even Jewish but have Jewish friends, so they had a go at me for being "too one sided" and "not reading the room" simply because I expressed shock at the level of targeted violence at children and the general lack of empathy for the whole mess. They didn't approve of my sharing posts or being so public about attending protest marches. WOW. That rocked me. I just assumed everyone I knew would be equally horrified. But no. It seems if you hang with a certain crowd, you cover for them and remove any humanity from the equation because it's only people who don't matter who are copping what they deserve. What a way to be woken up to reality. Jolted. The Palestinians have been opening my eyes in ways I never expected, but I will remain eternally grateful for. We can see who the terrorists are and they wear suits and sit in the White House and the Knesset.

Go Hamas. Go the Houthis. Go Herzbollah.

Stop participating in the their system and build parallel systems. Stop giving your money to the government, banks and corporations. Use cash, buy local, barter, grow as much of your own food as you can, even in a city backyard or balcony, move to Linux, don't use Netflix, etc. More complex items like computers, phones, cars - buy second hand or at least not made by regimes that fund what goes against your values.

They can only do this because the public is financing it. They can ignore your protests but they can't ignore it when you remove what they really care for: money. Every dollar you spend, every Internet website you use is a vote. I'm struggling to get rid of YouTube at the moment but I'll find a solution for that one as well.
