During the 2016 election someone was being criticized for not being pro-Clinton, and their response was perfect. "If two people are sawing off my legs why do you expect me to be grateful to the one whose doing it slower?"

Secretary of State? Why the demure sweetie is just perfect. Saying the deaths of 500k Iraqi women and children were “worth it” was just an accidental slip up. Not every politician speaks their true inner core feelings.

"I have a hard time imagining how you beat a liberal comedian honoring a Ukrainian Nazi with an award at a Pentagon event in Disneyland, but I'm sure they'll find a way before long."

Imagine a liberal, Jewish comedian honoring a Ukrainian Nazi with an award at a Pentagon event in Disneyland...

Doesn't Stepan Bandera Blvd end at the memorial to Babi Yar?

Can't make this crap up.

Exactly what I was going to say. Jon Stewart is a liberal Jewish comedian awarding a Nazi. I wish somebody would wake that guy up, he's smarter than that, but he's in a bubble.

Expand full comment

Wake him up? Do you think that he's stupid? Jon Stewart told you who he was when he went suspiciously mute during the 2016 election: an establishment whore/sheepdog. Why didn't you believe him? And why don't you believe him now?

Expand full comment

I don't subordinate my thinking to Jon Stewart or anyone else, thus "believing" him is not an issue. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he really is so stupid or ill-informed that he doesn't realize he, a Jewish man, just gave an award to a Ukrainian Nazi.

Expand full comment

Or he doesn't care, since Ukraine is the goodthink cause du jour.

Expand full comment

It's not about subordination. It's that maxim, "When people tell you who they are, believe them," or words to that effect.

Expand full comment

So, you tell me. Who is Jon Stewart? From my vantage point, he's a Jewish American man (who has described anti-Semitic bullying during his childhood) who just gave an award to a Ukrainian (likely) Nazi. Did he know the guy was a Nazi? Does he know the history of Nazism in Ukraine? I don't know.

I'm no fan of Jon Stewart. I don't like him. I don't agree with him on probably any issue that is important to me.

Your comments are confrontational and really off-point.

"When you are not with what majority of Americans are, then you know, that is extreme; that is an extreme way of thinking," Jean-Pierre said.

The majority of Americans want single-payer health care so by Jean-Pierre's standards the Dems and Republicans are extreme as they block any attempts to enact such a health care system.

I'm sure that there are a lot of other things the majority of Americans want the the political establishment won't provide as well so that would make the political establishment an extremist organization.

The John Stewart, Azov battalion Halushka "War Games"connection is one of the most unnerving things I've heard lately. Halushka has the sonnenrad symbol tatooed on his left elbow, it's big. This is an example of what I perceive as the new fascism: ethnic, religious affiliations, are of no account: all are welcome, especially, the rich, powerful and socially prominent.

Yes, but you see that the Buffalo shooter, who also sported Sonnenrads, was a Bad Nazi, while Azov are Good Nazis.

Sorta like how the same people who became the Taliban were "freedom fighters" when the USSR was the enemy, and Bin Laden himself got fawning puff pieces in the NYT.

And speaking of ancient history, does anyone remember that much hyped brigade of special LGTBQXZYPDQ+ Ukrainian soldiers sporting a rainbow colored patch in the shape of a unicorn?

I follow combat reports from Ukraine pretty closely and I haven't seen these brave warriors mentioned anywhere since. Strange, since Ukraine is on its seventh mobilization, press ganging men as old as 70, and needs all the warm live bodies that it can get.

Unless, of course, it was all a publicity stunt.

Expand full comment

Unicorn, eh? Well, why not? Who knows what's really going on when you can strike off. Western media unilaterally and must be very careful about the rest as well. I think we can believe the West chipped around $50 billion into this crap shoot, betting the rent on a Ukraine "win," however that is defined. As for sexual identity generally, I couldn't care less. We are what we are and the universe doesn't take sides, so long as it doesn't all end in anihilation.

I bring it up because it was a pretty clear case of empty virtue signaling, intended to keep western liberals on-side.

There are the good bad guys, and the bad bad guys, and gals of course (the great philosopher Rumsfeld?). And they're all interchangeable, depending on what's called for. Keeps us all busy tsking and tasking, hoping and or praying, feeling good/bad, sending money to good causes, voting and paying taxes, supporting Nazi causes. And of course, some of us even volunteer and die for hopeless, and even evil causes.

Thanks this post is so needed at this point. Everything Biden and company do or say reveals their true underlying purpose. This underlying purpose is the final takeover of the USA (and of course the planet) by deeply mentally unstable people. They are clearly fascists. Whenever we see this kind of close integration of corporate, government power along with cultural institutions it is fascism. What are the criminal penalties for those who foment war and imperil their own people? And how about those who take an oath of office and then commit treason?

It’s all engaged as socially acceptable insanities.

Not much less useless an act than to insist on endorsing the mechanisms destroying your capability to merely exist, or to prop up a dead economic system as capitalism by creating weapons to kill others as the only ‘market’, a truly zombie market of constant warfare and military presence on a finite planet without new markets for the dead economic system that has fed off its own for half a century.

Truer words were never spoken. I would not leave out Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, GWB 1, GWB 2, and Clinton. The real perpetrators are the never changing bureaucrats who were trained/indoctrinated to believe they are superior in both capability and virtue. The arrogance and absurdity is impossible to ignore unless you’ve been spoon fed by the angles of democracy who’s goal is to protect the planet from the boogie man.

„By means of ever more effective methods of mind-manipulation, the democracies will change their nature; the quaint old forms— elections, parliaments, Supreme Courts and all the rest—will remain. The underlying substance will be a new kind of non-violent totalitarianism. All the traditional names, all the hallowed slogans will remain exactly what they were in the good old days. Democracy and freedom will be the theme of every broadcast and editorial—but democracy and freedom in a strictly Pickwickian sense. Meanwhile the ruling oligarchy and its highly trained elite of soldiers, policemen, thought-manufacturers and mind-manipulators will quietly run the show as they see fit.“ —  Aldous Huxley, book Brave New World Revisited Source: Brave New World Revisited (1958), Chapter 3, p. 25
