I remember the last PR stunt: the floating pier (costing hundreds of millions) that was ostensibly for delivering aid but instead was used to deliver commandos for a hostage rescue raid that killed and wounded hundreds of Palestinians. Then the US tore the pier down and everyone (not us here) conveniently forgot about it.

Expand full comment

I thought the pier was meant for the docking of hospital ships - for the 'Covid', err...I mean 'Polio' outbreak...

Expand full comment

The timing for those two did not overlap, so a case of premature vaccination?

I had the reason for the floating pier wrong - I had it down to moving the displaced Palestinians onto ships for delivery into Europe and UK PLUS maybe US as refugees.

There was no way that "the tide" damaged the pier ... so think you are spot on.

Still have a bad feeling about ALL of this, in that it is all orchestrated and planned. The Zionist atrocities are too open and well documented and WE KNOW that within the Pro-Palestine / Peace rallies, there are both government crisis actors and agent provocateurs.

The World is a stage and most of us are the dumb audience with our gob open / eyes wide open at the latest illusion.

Sadly I must concur with your assessment. I'd change but one word of the final sentence: "most of us are the dumb audience with our gob open / eyes wide SHUT at the latest illusion."

Nothing will fundamentally change with either of these two parties’ candidates. They both support Israel to the umth degree and I will not be voting for either one of them. Nothing Biden says is worth listening to because there are no red lines for Biden, Harris or Trump when it comes to Israel. It’s all in his actions(Biden). What a soulless, shell of a man.😢☮️🇵🇸

I mailed my ballot on Monday, with a solid black rectangle next to Dr. Jill Stein's and Rudolph Ware's names! May there be millions who do the same, if not for TPTB, who needs to know they are losing their grip, and why, but for each other, we need to know how strong we are. For those considering write-ins, that's fine if there are no third-party candidates. Where third-parties are on a ballot, best to choose one of them, as write-in may not get reported.

How in the world can he hope to have any sort of legacy acting the way he does? Is he so far gone that he thinks we're a bunch of idiots? His legacy as far as I'm concerned is that of a creepy, old guy who has been convinced that he's going to go down in history as the president who stepped aside to save his country. What B.S.!

I have been watching the news from everywhere outside of the U.S. and they all agree, this is a PR stunt that is only meant to distract the voters long enough for Israel to attack Iran somehow. Will Biden allow the use of their in air refueling tankers at the last minute without telling anyone? How many flag draped coffins should we expect before election day? Or will they be brought in on a secret flight and the family members told that they are not allowed to tell anyone how their service member died. It wouldn't be the first time the feds have done that.

There is no end in sight for all of this madness. All we can do is protest as much as possible and keep watching the horrible videos coming out of Gaza and Lebanon.

On the other side of the ocean, Ireland and Spain are working it hard to try and get the U.N. security council to do something with more teeth in it before any of their troops get killed. The troops, especially the Irish, have vowed to fight back, even without orders to defend their positions. How far is Israel willing to go invade southern Lebanon? Is the death of UNIFIL soldiers now to be added to their bloody pub tab? Who will stand for them around the world?

Unless you start letting more aid into Gaza in the next 30 days we are going to think about sending less bombs to you.

1. Current aid is zero so more is a pretty low bar.

2. 30 days was obviously chosen to be after the election.

3. They will obviously then think about it and decide its fine to send more bombs.

The American hypocrisy is breathtaking. Sure, keep bombing tents and hospitals but you have been a naughty boy Israel not letting in aid so we can all pretend it is not genocide.

Those with the faces of power in public are being controlled by people with an advertising mentality behind the scenes. Change a word here, another one there and make it seem as if what is happening is honest and necessary. "Ignore their words and watch their actions," as Caitlin suggests. Samidoun has been declared a terrorist organization in the US, Canada and perhaps other places. The genocide in Gaza and now Lebanon is Israel "defending itself". No mention of the oil and money they are also protecting and hoping to have more of. Up is down, black is white.

When are people going to learn that actions speak louder than words (i.e., promises)? And that 30-day notice? Other than all you've set forth, Caitlin, is that that pathetic 30 days is just providing notice for Nazi Nini Yahoo to use those 30 days to kill thousands more.

It's true, Caitlin. We have to look at what is actually happening and tune out all the BS, both in political and personal terms.

Hiya Caitlin,

here in the UK, the BBC news are selling it as 'The strongest rebuke yet of Israel, by America over its handling of the war in Gaza'

Mind you they did also show a documentary about Gaza tonight but I don't trust them anymore so I've not watched it.....yet.

Expand full comment

A rebuke would have been, stop the bombing, end the war, end the occupation Israel and get out of Palestine and Lebanon. That is a rebuke.

A wishy washy, please feed the subhumans before you kill them is hardly a rebuke.

The vast majority of the politicians in the US, and elsewhere, quiver and quail in the face of Zionazi influence in the mainstream media, 'think-tanks', social media etc. This administration's empty gestures, expressions of 'concern', and pathetic window-dressing are contemptible. Bibi's murderous regime is just the front line, with apparently bottomless reserves available from Uncle Sam and, effectively, carte blanche to do what the hell they want. And hell is what they've inflicted whether it involves being blown to smithereens, maimed, blinded or starved. Very 'concerning'.

Jews seem to be become inconvinianced by the Genocide. A novelist Howard Jacob complaints that too much press coverage of dead Palestinian children is a new form of “blood libel” against Jews.

By that the sustained media coverage of children being killed in Gaza was functioning as a new “blood libel” against the Jewish people. “Such bias as I have described—conscious or not—has contributed not just to the anxiety level of Jews but to the atmosphere of hostility and fear in which they now live,” Jacobson wrote. “The litany of dead children corroborates all those stories of their insatiable lust for blood.”

If Mr. Jacobson had a conscience he would have been outside Wall Street protesting with other Jews who do have one. I just watched a segment on Glenn Greenwald’s show and his guests had done extensive research on Gaza. She said 90% of the children don’t have food, only four hospitals are partially working and even if the bombing stopped today, the casualties would continue to grow from disease and starvation. I don’t know how anyone can justify this with empty slogans.

If Mr. Jacobson would like the accusations of blood libel to stop maybe he could suggest to Netanyahu to tell the IDF to stop murdering children for target practice and burning people alive in tent encampments.

I haven't seen that Glenn Greenwald segment. But there's this one on Democracy Now, which was outstanding: https://www.democracynow.org/2024/10/15/jvp_protest_new_york_stock_exchange

Well bugger me, guess what happens when the State proclaiming it represents your religion is murdering children by the hundreds of thousands. The mud, sorry, blood and mud, sticks on Jews Howard Jacobson since it is Jews who have been the main promoters and funders of Ziogenocide Israel since it invented itself in 1947.

Perhaps Mr Jacobson some may wonder, given the propensity for slaughtering children, non-Jewish children only of course, what was the origin of those ancient blood-libel charges. Any thoughts?
