Read Mearsheimer and Walt’s “The Israel Lobby.” Turns out politicians are bought for a modest amount of campaign contributions, and if you spread the money around, you will quickly have the house of representatives and senate at your disposal. Fund “think tanks” liberally, and you can circulate people who sing from the same music score in and out of all branches of government at all levels. The politicians do the job their funders want them to do, their electors be damned. Rather than a so called representative democracy what we have is a bought and paid for “democracy.” The first step toward fixing this country is getting big money out of politics.

Along with the money, I think it's blackmail. The thought of JFK's assassination & 9/11, among other incidents (the recent spate of UFO's over the northeast?, the Trump assassination attempt), is likely in the back of the minds in Washington. They're probably freaked out. Just my thoughts. (EDIT: 'Epstein' possibly of course.)

Huge majority of USSA politicians are unintelligent low-quality cowards. Talking heads. So is the most of western population. Dying rotting empires are always kicking and screaming. They see the end is near and they cannot accept it. Like a drowning victim. The world will be at peace once the Zionist genocidal western ideology is exterminated. If humanity survives it? This was all predictable long-time ago, but humans in the west on average are utterly stupid selfish self-destructive biological forms.

tre peperoncini's avatar

Yes, the reality of war bites hard, and when it does, it draws blood. But let’s be careful not to smugly dismiss those fleeing as cowards. In the face of horror, survival is not cowardice.

Over the past twenty months, we’ve witnessed a live streamed genocide, and yet how many have truly dared to confront the bully and its backer? Lebanon and Yemen stood alone in their defiance. The rest of the world offers little more than statements, not even sanctions, we ban the Russians from the Olympics for liberating the Donbass but invite the Zionists regime`s citizens to entertain us at Eurovision and World Cup 2026- WTF?

Yes, there is a sickness, its in all us, perhaps one we are born with, that primal instinct of infancy to dominate, to cry and kick and claw until we get what we want, But so too is empathy, but it emerges not from instinct, but from awareness, when we recognize that we are one among many, part of a shared human condition, that which we call humanity, be it humane or inhumane such is humanity.

When a fellowman, or our own nation achieves greatness, we celebrate because it is also ours. We sense that their triumph ennobles us all. And by the same measure, when others commit atrocities in our name, or with our silence, that too is ours to bear. The evil our fellow humans do is also our shared crime, and our shared injury. And if we do, say nothing, we are the cowards.

There is perhaps no way to reason and understand this insanity, even as those who cheered as Gaza was being destroyed , are themselves experiencing a small fraction of the discomfort and fear, I fear they are but still infants , unable or unwilling face and accept an awareness that they are not divine. That those who they trampled on are their fellowman.

I wonder if Iran should preemptively attack the US in the region, before the Americans attack them, and do their best to kick them out of the region.

Considering the reports that the Americans are about to enter the war, and considering that america has invaded and destroyed ALL of Israel’s enemies and rivals - Iran is obviously next on the list, and it’s inevitable the Americans will attack.

Getting the first hit might be the least worst option.

Not to mention that America is already intimately involved in the fighting. It’s now or never

The Japanese were in a similar situation: attack the Americans while we might have a slim chance? Or do nothing and face certain collapse?

China should forget about their dreams of peaceful unification with Taiwan, and forget about negotiations. They need to act ruthlessly, quickly, and assertively to protect their eastern border. They can’t allow themselves to be fooled by the empire like Iran and Russia were.

With all that is happening in the ME there is a good chance the war against China may never happen.

The US has yet to learn that attacking countries on their home turf is a sure way to lose a war. It happened with Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine and now Iran. These wars have cost trillions of dollars, still not paid for. Russia actually won WW ll for the allies and took millions of casualties doing so. American corporations invested in and helped build Hitler's war machine.

Unfortunately I think full throated opposition is catnip to these psychopaths. I remember 9/11, and in fact I was at the first troop train demonstrations on the tracks in Berkeley in 1963. They don’t care what people think.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth repeating:

John LeCarré, speaking with Russia’s legendary Foreign Minister, reported Yevgeny Primakov’s efforts to persuade both Bush and Thatcher that Hussein only wanted a way out without disgrace before his people. Neither cared. “They wanted this war.” was Primakov’s despairing conclusion.

It’s not strategy. It’s Bibi’s wishlist with Gaza genocide buried behind the smoke Funded by Miriam Adelson the billionaire who installed Trump in the White House.

Both need chaos. Both want headlines off Gaza.

Gaza is being erased, bombed, starved, silenced.
