I think this is a common but fundamental misunderstanding of how these cretins interpret notions like “peace”. To them, peace is only ever the result of the total subjugation or eradication of all other competing interests- those who haven’t bent the knee or will not. So Trump going on the warpath, in their interpretation of reality, this is what peacemaking looks like. Pathological people rule us.

It is doubtful president Tariff ever had an original thought. He relies and gets his marching orders from the real president of the United States of Israel, Bibi.

Whatever Bibi wants, Bibi gets , and the rich keep getting richer… and richer…. and, guess what… richer.

I'll up-vote this single line advocacy of a 3rd Party option being perennial Presidential candidate from the Greens being the medical Dr. Jill Stein. There are many better potential 3rd Party challengers or even DNC challengers, certainly the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) whose candidate for Mayor of Empire City of the Empire State (NYC, NY), Zohran Mamdani won the primaries and then the race against Democratic Party heir apparent Andrew Cuomo to become the current Mayor of NYC and Wall Street. As improbable as that seems given Mamdani's ties to anything labelled even partly Socialist.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jill_Stein

"In a 2024 interview with Haaretz, (Israel's leading daily newspaper) Stein said the Green Party was an alternative to the "rigid two-party system [in which] both parties are widely regarded as sponsored by and serving the economic elites, and share their core interests. They're both parties of war and of Wall Street. They may differ on social issues, but on core policies they're very much the same".[8]

Meanwhile, the front-running and best funded if most scandalous currently serving NYC Mayor (after his failed bid for NY state Governor), son Andrew Cuomo of perhaps NY City and State's most unassailable candidate for city, state or national office (and a personal candidate of my own choice were I still resident in the Empire City or State, namely Mario Cuomo who emerged hardly unscathed from charges of associating with demonstrably corrupt Gotham and Empire state political machines during my well-spent yoot in the Institutional Corruption capital of these United States:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Cuomo

Meanwhile I would never support Mario Cuomo's son Andrew, not even before the sexual abuse allegations rolled in and went unprosecuted after exceeding the alleged crimes' statute of limitations for prosecution. Those cases and additional allegations began coming forth and were being in the process of adjudication as Andrew Cuomo's first campaign neared:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Cuomo

Andrew Cuomo's donor list and big buck haul alone should in the context of institutional corruption advise against endorsement except by the most cynical politically engaged citizens. From the wiki dossier:

"Beginning in late 2020, Cuomo faced numerous allegations of sexual misconduct.[9][10]."

"A January 2021 report by state attorney general Letitia James found that the Cuomo administration had undercounted COVID-19-related deaths at nursing homes by as much as 50%.[5][6] As of May 2025, the U.S. Department of Justice has an open investigation into Cuomo's testimony on his involvement with a questionable report used to combat criticism of his handling of the pandemic.[7][8]"

"Beginning in late 2020, Cuomo faced numerous allegations of sexual misconduct.[9][10] A report from independent investigators commissioned by (state Attorney General) James found in August 2021 that Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women from 2013 through 2020 and retaliated against victims who made complaints about his conduct.[11][12]..."

"...Following the release of James's report, there were widespread calls for Cuomo's resignation, including from President Joe Biden. On August 23, 2021, in the midst of an impeachment investigation against him,[13] Cuomo resigned from office.[14][15]"

"After his resignation, criminal investigations from the district attorney offices for New York County, Nassau County, Westchester County, and Oswego County were closed without charges being filed.[16][17] A criminal charge in Albany County was dropped in 2022.[18]"

"In 2025, Cuomo mounted a political comeback bid and ran for mayor of New York City in that year's election. Despite leading in most Democratic primary polls, he lost to Zohran Mamdani in what was considered a major upset. He continued his run as an independent, then lost again to Mamdani in the general election."[19][20][21]

This entire planet I've come to realize is just fucking upside down and the psychopaths and killers are the rulers who should be protecting the commonfolk.. while they do the very opposite in reality

When did humanity collectively decide to not only let the wolves into the barnhouse, but also gave them the key and leadership rights to kill maim and rape to their hearts content... And not only get away with it but be applauded and protected for being the vile creatures they are

Humanity is diabolically Insane and I'm so fucking happy it's now undeniable to most sane people as we head into year 2026

Thank you Caitlin.

It is also worth saying that there is good reason for the US/Trump et al to ignore the "UAE backed" conflict/RSF/genocide/famine in Sudan. UAE is no different from USrael. About 65% of the UAE's weapons come from the USA. It's all about profit, oil and the weapons industry and it has been for decades. And the US & bigger players in Europe and the oligarchs who run them all want to divvy up Sudan's rich natural resources: Significant deposits of gold, oil, and natural gas, alongside abundant arable land along the Nile for agriculture (while the Sudanese starve) and the Nile River itself as a crucial resource for irrigation and potential hydropower. Other key minerals include iron, copper, zinc, silver, chromite, gypsum, mica, uranium, and the rare earths the Empire is continuously lusting after.

One can only maintain the delusion of Strawman Trump as the President of "Peace" if one doesn't dig deeper for what is NOT said about these wars. Once the reality and truth are fleshed/flushed out, the dots are connected, and the lies melt away like the Wicked Witch of the West. The US/multinational oligarchy was built upon and grows fat on its addiction to war, destruction and death.

WHAT is the matter with these people? Do they see sending bombs and weapons to a country committing genocide as peace making? Or ICE as a peaceful bunch? Is it peaceful to call Somalians or anyone else "garbage"? Murdering people in a boat on the Caribbean because Trump has decided that they are "narco-terrorists" with no evidence? The rhetoric about Trump being the "President of Peace" is insanity. Sadly, many of the world leaders have somehow fallen prey to this insanity. They are, as you say, Caitlin, delusional.

They’re not delusional—they’re calculating. Calculating to see how far they can go to get everything they want before they’re forced to stop. I have no idea when that will be or how it will happen but it will happen. Every empire falls and ours will not be any different.

>>"many of the world leaders have somehow fallen prey to this insanity"

I don't think they've 'fallen prey' to it. They understand it and go along with it because it serves their interests. Some also fear possible retribution from the U.S. if they go against America.

Most of these 'so-called world leaders' are DEEPLY lacking in morals, and some might even be psychopaths and sociopaths (we know several already - Trump, Netanyahu, Modi, Javier Milei, MBS, quite a few more...)

It seems that humans have a 'knack' for selecting 'the wrong leaders' CONSISTENTLY. This acknowledged observation is dramatic but recurring: many societies end up handing power to individuals who seem — for cruelty, incompetence, or immorality — the worst among us. Quite remarkable that there is no mainstream news media call for physical accounting of the remains of the suspect motor-boat alleged hauls of cocaine or smuggled narcotics or precursor chemicals. How long has it been since the first (and by now normalized) attacks by U.S. Naval Air gear via U.S. air to sea ballistics targeting these comparatively small smuggling motor-boats after no reported Coast Guard encirclement with U.S. Naval calls for surrender of weapons and the boarding of these boats in lieu of air-to-sea rocket launch!

Search online and please point out to U.S. who among the staffs of mainstream U.S. news media's muck rakers (not cuck makers like our two-term Commander In Chief or his Secretary of War's) staff have ever fielded questions pertaining to any demand for "physical evidence" before undertaking multiple such rocket attacks from air to small civilian "smuggling" boats. This is like living in a Twilight Zone episode or a sequel to that Bill Murray alternative time comedy "Groundhog's Day." Except reality in this case is less plausible than Hollywood's fable of bureaucratic metaphysics!

Yet again, dating back to the early poll results of Trump's first national political campaign in 2015. My question (certainly not mine alone, I got to thinking on this track by some of my better regarded national journalistic reporters (often from publications rarely cited such as the Village Voice...) is of the shifted paradigm of muck raking investigators looking for proof of some political disease of the eternal carpet-bagging candidate, while overlooking the high early to late polling results of a clearly and repeatedly diseased body politic in advancing such charlatans who wear their disease like gold nugget cuff links, each such candidate exiting the primaries as a potential Nobel Peace Prize winner don't we know(!)
