And yet many ignorant Americans often wonder why the world hates Americans, especially when they go to other countries and boast loudly how USA is the greatest country in the world, how powerful the US military is (sounds like an implied threat to all others who were bullied) and that all others should respect / envy / admire Americans.
The world does not hate Americans...it hates American foreign policy. Even in a land like Iran, where militants chant Death to America, US visitors are greeted warmly and made to feel welcome, for the reason, I suspect, to signal that it understands that the American people are not the American government and themselves are often victims of the war mongerers.
In the last 5 years, I have traveled to 10 countries, from India for 2 months, to Morocco, to Portugal, Spain (twice), Mexico (4 times), Ecuador, Turkey, and Costa Rica 4 times. The only place I ever felt hostility was in France, where I was yelled at for not speaking fluent French, and Costa Rica, the land of Pura Vida, where I had 5 bad experiences as the patina of tourist-friendly (I actually had a small condo there I bought for $35K) wore off to reveal, in the Central American nation with the MOST inequality, the anger and resentment of those in the have not part of the equation. IN all the other nations, I was treated always with warmth and respect.
So my point is, do not confuse the condemnation of American foreign policy and imperialism with hatred for the people, a mutlicultural poly glot where in some states, sufh as California, the most common last name is Garcia (my own daughter married a Garcia) and "whites" are a minority in a state that is deeply diverse.
To think that other people in other lands hate Americans because of their hatred of American foreign policy would be like thinking that the 60 of Americans who despise Trump therefore hate their countrymen.
Even in Cuba, a nation crippled by US economic warfare, blighted, without electricity muchof the time, I was greeted with warmth.
My older brother, who worked on weapons systems, during the Vietnam War in his retirement visited Vietnam. He said that they were the most friendly people to him and his wife of all this travels, which were frequent and verywhere. MOst people are savvy enough, from their own experience with government to realize that the people, in most cases, are not the villains but victims of their own governments, paying for and dying in wars they did not start nor want.
Have you got any sources for the assertion that Iranian ‘militants’ chant ‘death to america’ as opposed to actually chanting ‘death to US foreign policy’. I for one fully support ‘death death to the IDF’.
Yes: if you doubt it, check it out: "the chant is real, documented, and ongoing in Iran (especially among hard-line/official/populist gatherings)." The IDF is made up of young men and women who have no choice but to serve; this in no way justifies IDF! genocidal slaughter in Gaza, but it reminds us that ordinary people do not make the rules but are forced to follow them. We can wish the Israeli military to be crushed, but many draftees do not want to fight. "Reservist no-shows / refusals (hard numbers vary by source and by round of call-ups): Israeli media and analysts report attendance dropping across successive mobilizations — estimates run from roughly 90% → 70% → ~50–60% attendance in later call-ups (i.e., non-attendance or non-participation rising toward ~30–50% in some rounds). Activist groups put the cumulative number of reservists who have refused at thousands (Restart Israel has cited figures such as ~12,000 refusals); independent press estimates of people who simply didn’t show up have reached tens of thousands in some reports. Put another way: for some mobilizations a substantial minority — perhaps tens of percent — have been unwilling or unable to participate."
I caution caution when using the word death, which brings out the guns and hatred, to make sure we target those responsible (including IDF troops who commit war crimes) and not those who are victims of a vicious govt policy. I understand you meant the IDF< ie the military establishment...but just to make sure we don't fall into the trap of our enemies.
I love Carlin! My dad and I watched him all the time. Dad has been dead 20 years, but I always think of my dad with classic Carlin! Carlin was ahead of his time. Thank you!
Interesting part about Costa Rica where inequality is glaring. The place is full of con artists and even a reputable hotel tried to double charge me after paying and checking out.
i don't think americans generally care if the world hates them or not (the respect-patina is enough - feral would be mentioning something about carrot and stick here).
My experience is the expectation that all others DO respect and are in thankful awe for all the aid (militarily and other) 'America' 'gives' to most of the world and are stunned to learn that not only are we not - we would prefer for the USA to pick up their marbles and go home.
The trouble is, we who live here know the truth, and it's not so good : ( Racism has a way of infecting everything in our lives. The premise of your biased statement is false. There are ignorant, boastful fools worldwide.
What the world doesn’t comprehend, this world is ruled by the elites aka globalists, Freemasons, Jesuits, Zionists, Illuminati et al [many names; confusion] aka Luciferian cabal dba UN/WHO/WEF dba Israel/US.

It’s no wonder the US is despised worldwide. It’s been used by the Luciferian cabal as its military power for decades.
I see many likes for a comment of why "the world hates Americans" tho it is not true. The world hates American foreign policy and generally is warm to actual ordinary Americnas. I have been to 11 countries in the past 5 year, greeted warming in all but France, and no where did I hear Americans bragging or touting US power. This is a stereotype that many accept without any real experience in foreign lands and it is a form of self-loathing, when supported by Americans. When supported by those who hate America, it confuses the people, who are victims, with the oligarchs who dominate us.
There is a reason that AOC, an avowed democratic socialist who early called out Israeli genocide, is now more popular then Trump, as he prepares to start a war in Venezuela, and that reason is that the American people, the majority, feel victimized by Trump and are ready for a new kind of ideology and leadership. CJ>>"The empire we live under is everything we’re trained to fear. Our own rulers are the murderers. Our own rulers are the terrorists. Our own rulers are the tyrants. Our own rulers are the problem."
I've spent so much effort/energy explaining this to many Westerners (and supporters of Westerners) through various means, but I keep getting 'crazy looks/reactions' from them. I keep asking them to read books, learn real history, watch non-MSM media, level-up their critical thinking skills, and more - but people somehow just don't seem to be that interested in doing much of those things.
There are ways of improving one's knowledge and thinking, but it seems (to me) that for multiple reasons (trying to survive and hence lack of time, or comfort zone, or life-long habits/patterns, capitalist distractions), not enough people are doing that.
If people don't do some of these things (reading books, learning history, non-MSM media exposure, critical thinking), HOW are things supposed to change for the better? Magically? Are solutions just going to fall from the sky? The ONLY WAY to fix many of humanity's problems is to change how we think (which will impact how we behave and act). Unless we (collectively as a species) ACT to change how we think, I don't hold out much hope for our future...
Yes, that's what I meant by "(trying to survive and hence lack of time, or comfort zone, or life-long habits/patterns, capitalist distractions)".
It may be easy for me to say/suggest these things (like reading books, watching non-MSM media, etc.) because I already do it and have the habits (and time) to do these things, but I suspect many others don't have the life circumstances (or are embedded in conducive environments) to follow through on such actions.
So then a valid question that arises is - does the onus of thinking and changing other people's environments/reality (such that it fosters further such positive changes in thinking) fall upon those who are able to think?
Things are always changing/evolving. Hopelessness turns into hope which turns into hopelessness which turns into hope which turns into...
I'm sure there are many other periods in history where (some) people thought things were hopeless. Yet we survived (I don't know if it's for the better or for the worse - that is a subjective opinion).
Maybe this 'hopelessness' is what might compel people to take actions that would produce some hope (like for example mass general strikes, boycotts, non-compliance with authority/power, etc.).
"The US and Israel and their allies are vastly more murderous and tyrannical than the entire Muslim world combined."
Bingo. All this Islamophobia is just projection by a bunch of genocidal bullies. They know they're mass murderers, but they can't admit it. They want to have their cake and eat it too. I say we make them choke on their lies by continuing to expose their war crimes to the world. If anyone should be afraid, it should be the war criminals!
I agree with most of what you say - except the bit about the power elites promoting fear of Islam as a projection. I am not so generous towards them. I think they know they are marketing lies - it is considered a 'necessary' evil. For example with Gaza - cant have Gazan developing and profiting from the vast gas reserves just off their coast. Or accessing the huge aquifer under Gaza - hence they can only have dug, not drilled, wells. However, Israelis can drill sideways to get the aquifers water.
The way they so casually call Muslims terrorists, fanatics, violent etc is staggering. You couldn’t get away with speaking about any other group that way. Even the so-called “positive” comments reek of racism, like when they say "demonizing Muslims and attacking their countries creates terrorists,” as if Muslims are just waiting for an excuse to fulfill some innate urge for violence. The worst part is how normalized all this rhetoric has become to talk about Muslims like that, to ask them things like “hey you don’t support terrorism, do you?” or to demand they take responsibility for the actions of two billion other muslims worldwide and reassure white people who wanna pretend they never even heard of violence, that no they are not there to kill you, that they dont beat their wives and cut off their clits or blow themselves up... They’re constantly asked to prove their innocence and distance themselves from their own faith and apologize for it and prove their their allegiance to Jews and Israel, as if that’s some kind of litmus test for their humanity and worthiness.
Mamdani is running as the mayor of New York, yet from the way he is being interrogated you would think he is running as mayor of Tel Aviv. The hours upon hours each week he has to spend apologizing for not supporting genocide and proving his allegiance to Israel and to a minority of the population in New York basically, is unbelievable. The composure and patience someone like Mamdani shows while people casually spew this blatant Islamophobic shit to his face is nothing short of remarkable.
It is absolutely ludicrous that the standard we are so eagerly encouraged to apply to Muslims - that their religion makes them evil - is considered such anathema when other religious superstitions are involved. The more, apparently, any other made up belief system is used to justify special privilege - up to and including he right to commit genocide - the more we are encouraged not to notice.
9/11 is seared into our brains the same way the genocide of Palestine is for some of us. Is there any real evidence that Israel was involved? Also was Israel involved in killing JFK because he didn't approve of them getting nukes?
History is full of monsters. We are the latest in a long string of them as we have imposed our will as a hegemon. You are right- people should get it by now. That power is waning now as the empire fades.
I was beginning to suspect this is a tactic to make Israel look reasonable in its brutal and oppressive treatment of the Palestinians. If the world sees ALL Muslims as terrorists, it follows that Israel is fighting "the good fight" and should be thanked and not condemned. It is saving us from the terrorists. So the theme goes.
Just as the Holocaust has been relentlessly drilled into our brains from childhood, this is a vital corollary for Israel and its plans. These things take time to settle deep in the brain. Bit by bit, drop by drop, it has always been in the background. The culture clashes of immigrants and people in receiving countries have fed the narrative. All by design? A long-term plan? More and more it appears so.
Good post ! True words ! The memory of the Holocaust has been co- opted by the Zionist entity and instrumentalised in the service of Jewish Supremacism.
Likewise the pejorative of 'anti semite' is a device employed to foment hatred of Islam. The real anti-semites are those of the Zionist entity who profess a heretical version of Judaism which itself violates the Torah. These Jews who have been captured by the Zionist entity have become schizoid as it is not possible to reconcile Christian Zionism with this radical form of Judaism that has morphed into fascism.
When any religion is captured by a political movement, which exploits biblical texts which are expounding heresy, it becomes
nothing more than a specious ideology. Such is the fatal flaw of political Zionism which was inbuilt within the structure of the Israeli State from the very outset. Any edifice constructed out of faulty materials will eventually be cracked and fissured, and will ultimately collapse.
As the atrocious regime of Netanyahu continues to further plumb the depths of evil, this illegitimate state will only hasten its own demise. Its reputation throughout the civilised world has been damaged beyond repair. It has no future because all it can offer the world is mayhem, chaos, death, destruction and a mountain of human misery.
It is no more than the stillborn child of Nazism, a grotesque, Frankensteinian monster that has been kept on life support by the Zionist entity within the rogue state of the USA.
And now the entire world has seen enough of this, and is turning away.
I find I am deeply offended as an Australian by the continuing genocide in Gaza. The return of atrociously injured Palestinians from Israeli jails was very offensive - the descriptions of those injuries provided by medical staff remains a blight on those who committed those injuries. Perhaps most offensive was the description of the little Palestinian girl who was shot with hundreds of bullets by certain members of the Israel "Defence" Force. Why were hundreds of bullets in a small child necessary to defend Israel?
Why does the main stream media provide slick words lacking substance to describe Muslim actions but never provide descriptions of the atrocities committed by USA/Israeli operatives?
The collective account provided by on the ground journalists provides a body of evidence which those who seek to hear will never be suppressed.
Despicable. Trump embraces the concept of America as an Organized Crime Nation—his idea of MAGA:
Trump: I don’t think we’re gonna necessarily ask for a declaration of war. I think we’re just gonna kill people. Okay? We’re gonna kill them. They’re gonna be, like, dead.
True, Helga. I lived in America for a while, where most of my time was with Native Americans, during which time I saw the treatment of the indigenous people by the white americans. My first meeting was with American soldiers in Scotland when I was a child, and I didn't like their attitude then. Met them again here in Oz, they are mostly boastful but ignorant, expect to be treated with deference for having any certificate (which we are well aware can be easily bought in the US) and get very haffy if soneone steals the limelight from them, which must oen a lot because other people have interesting lives and stories tell, which says to me they do not have an education system that encourages thinking, let alone critical thinking.

Isn't it insane that a regime surrounded by Muslim countries should consider demonising Islam an intelligent defence strategy? That people who openly insist their religion reduces Muslims to 'subhuman animals', while their own gives them a divine right to murder and steal land with impunity, should call Islam Evil? Most idiotic of all: what if demonising Muslims so strategically backfires that the world begins to apply the same standard it already applies - every atrocity ever committed by any Muslim, no matter how deranged, is always vigorously used to ensure all Islam is brought into disrepute - and uses it to expose the dead-eyed racists who currently support, fund and commit genocide, always pretending it's a religious privilege? What then?
You didn't mention the 'East Turkestan Islamic Movement' Caitlin, stirred into Islamist terrorism in Xinjiang by Saudi Arabia (backed by the US of course). They were involved in helping Al Queda in Syria but also recently bombing people in China and killing 20 in Bangkok. They had a meeting in the UK with the German based Uyghur World Congress, which is funded by the NED, falsely claiming, with no evidence apart very dodgy uncorroborated witness statements, that the Chinese had detained or killed millions of Uyghurs. Ryan Grim is one of the ones who have fallen for this smearing of China. In this case; increasing Sinophobia trumps Islamophobia and many people in alternative media still believe this bollocks.
Now that so many people can visit Xinjiang and see the Uyghurs living happily alongside the other ethnic groups, the US is trying to say that Uyghur culture has been museumified.
The truth is some of them were radicalised into extremist terrorists and the Chinese have successfully rehabilitated them back into society.
The American way is to use terrorists for regime change or to use them as an excuse to regime change. The Chinese way of going to considerable trouble to de-extremify them is much better- though the US tried to use it against them.
I was in Xinjiang about ten years ago. All Uyghur renters were required to leave the capital Urumqi. Outdoor grills were banned as supposedly polluting the air. A propaganda song played all day every day, even in the trees of the park. Uyghurs frequently disappeared. My niece spent five years in Urumqi and speaks both Mandarin and Uyghur, so she had a good idea what was going on. However there was no sign of "genocide."
All you’ve said is that Uyghurs frequently disappeared with a poof like magic. This does not count as evidence.
Renters are frequently moved, just look at the problems in city centres in Europe with airbnb. The Chinese are free to protect their air quality and free to play songs about living peacefully with other or whatever as much as they like.
The truth of Tibet is also of US backed separatism using the US appointed Dalai Lama. The US spends £trillions on meddling in Tibet and has been doing so for 50 years. The opposition groups don’t live in Tibet, they’re not recognised by people who live in Tibet nor do they represent them. Tibet is part of China, just like Xinjiang and Taiwan is. People there live and trade alongside other ethnic groups and China as a whole. Whatever happened in 1951 the reality is that the US is trying to attack a peaceful China by stirring separatism and using Tibet and their puppet the Dalai Lama.
Taiwan was formed by the British opium trade. Kuo Min Tang was a British proxy. The island of Chinese Taipei was stolen by the British after the English Navy decimated China’s mainland harbors during those opium wars, same with Hong Kong.
How is that relevant to now? The orignial Europeans conquered most of the world who didn’t like it. Should people not trade with Europe and feel free to support separatism.
Actually I think separatism of Scotland and Wales is being supported. The UK doesn’t want any competition from allies or enemies.
As soon as we understand the playbook, it's so obvious. And we can't fall for it. Palestine should have opened everyone's eyes, especially when we see how our governments support this genocide.
When a society is engulfed with lies and disinformation and distortions for years - actually for centuries on end - the human brain shrinks. Exposed to daily conditioning it loses the power of critical thinking. What sloshes around the capitalist tool of mainstream media - the propaganda - takes over your ability to think for yourself. The conditioning and brain washing is such that one cannot break through what you are fed to keep you docile. It is passed on from one generation to another- in fact you only have to force feed one generation! Only a minority of discerning individuals will wake up.
And so it comes to pass - the inhabitants of the western world have come to believe in their white supremacy, their racist beliefs, a false sense of superiority, their might is right thinking, that their way of life is the best. Until they wake up to a ruling class of oligarchs, buffoons, vulgarity and viciousness.
All kinds of phobias are invented to keep control of the masses. Anti-communism had to be replaced with ( although it is being recycled right now) Islamophobia. It enabled a genocide.
And yet many ignorant Americans often wonder why the world hates Americans, especially when they go to other countries and boast loudly how USA is the greatest country in the world, how powerful the US military is (sounds like an implied threat to all others who were bullied) and that all others should respect / envy / admire Americans.

Read books. Good luck with that. Yes think. It's not illegal yet.
Thinking without learning HOW to think is of little value. THAT'S what people need to learn - HOW to think (not what to think).
And reading books provides ideas that impact one's thinking (I'm specifically talking of non-fiction books here).
They are far too lazy to read books or do research. The television remote is much easier to use.

As it turns out, Muslims are the ones we should fear the least.
What we (the 99% majority) should be fearful of are people in positions of POWER and AUTHORITY, and the ultra-wealthy.
The ultra wealthy are the people who decide who will ascend to positions of power and authority.
Said perfectly : )
I wish more people thought like that ❤️

Also was Israel involved in killing JFK because he didn't approve of them getting nukes?
no you are right, jews are the real victims at all times just minding their own business while the world conspires against them, see...
We are the monsters. I have been saying this for years now. Maybe people will finally get it.
History is full of monsters. We are the latest in a long string of them as we have imposed our will as a hegemon. You are right- people should get it by now. That power is waning now as the empire fades.
Not if Donnie has something to say about this glaring reality. A few lies will do the trick, works every time.
"One empire, under surveillance, with deceit and oppression for all!"
Precisely. It’s just the same old bullshit from the same old bullshitters.

Such a deadly sick fcuk. A peace president????
It works.
It may seem like it works, but those who have lived in the US for a while, they will know it ain't so. I don't envy Americans.
I have a feeling after live streaming the genocide, this time is different. I agree we shall see.
I dunno. The world mostly sat on its hands, craving American carrot and fearing American stick.
I share your feelings and do realize there ................. bunch of words that sound to hostile to write on someone else's webpage : ) Yes the missing words are what you think. I don't consider those dark thoughts anymore. The French had the right idea 1789.
I love Caitlin and Tim's new Melon Slicer rap. Our new National Anthem : )
I wish I could write otherwise.
BTW, you are so popular. I was reading a post about our future in science and there your reply to the writer pops up : ) I smile however disagreed with your thoughts with no shock to you I suppose ha. Ian Welsh. I would love to share a coffee and talk about our future and science with it and without it.
I am working on new sensor technology to discover water on the Moon/Mars using our newest low noise sensor. NASA is being destroyed with now
as Genocide Don proclaims the useless research and development people standing in the way of Disney in space for rich people is the priority and what do you need NASA for if you have the for profit space x lowercase.
Do you know where I purchased the element I need for this new sensor?
China ha. China is light years ahead of we in the u.s. now. When you stop
educating and researching it takes a decade to recover. A decade in science is now a light year in time and distance.
Dirty Dozen to Mars, one of my finest failed stories : )
Popular is not necessarily the word i would choose. ;)
I don't know the truth about that, but I hope you don't excuse their horrific destruction of Tibet.

China conquered and colonized Tibet. The original Tibetans don't like it.
iirc, the original tibetan system was a kind of brute feudalism.

Thank you Caitlin and Tim.
