The US has been violating human rights globally for decades.

The US has kept Julian Assange in a UK prison for several years though he is innocent, a political prisoner. The US had people in prison many for nonviolent victimless crimes than even Russia or China. The US continues to support in every way an Apartheid terror state. Israel. The US sanctions on several coutries are responsible for much human suffering, plus the deliberate overthrowing of sovereign governments in Venezuela, Argentina,Ukraine. There is NO moral highground in the utterly Corrupt and morally bankrupt DC Swamp. The political prisoners of January 6th 2020 are still being held and persecuted. While Palestinian children are slaughted, we see aid organizations begging for Ukraine and Israel Jews the constant victim Card be anti semite. Yet most arabs are semites. its a lie.a trick. America is sick and its disease is Washington DC Hegemony dreams

This from Cailin says it as it is "The US empire stands for nothing, believes in nothing, and values nothing apart from its own power. Those who understand and align with this reality find themselves elevated to the highest echelons of power within the US empire, while those with normal human empathy centers in their brains find nothing but locked doors past a certain point in government.'

We are used to dealing with psychopathic individuals -or society is very good to producing them, but analysing a joint psychopathic massive powerful entity is as new discipline

I discovered that when I was 7, and might have mentioned it here. I caught on to that lie watching cowboy and Indian movies, where the cowboys were good no matter how bad they were in stealing Indian land, and killing them off. As a child you ask why, but no answers from grown ups make sense. Then comes a day, maybe when you're 8 when you realize the government just lies to pretend it is good. I never saluted the flag in school after I realized that, never said the last part, with liberty and justice for all, and all these years later it still applies.

If the Tillerson coaching episode doesn't convince conspiracy theory debunkers there is a deep state, nothing will.

As a US citizen, I couldn't agree with you more. We don't get to see these kinds of global viewpoints from "our allies" very often over here. Thank you for your insight, and I'm sharing the *hell* outta this.

The US claims its interventions overseas are to "defend Freedom" that is the freedom for the Hegemon USA to impose its will on any country it wishes and to defend the Freedom of its vassal states to rape and pillage their country for the benefit of its oligarchy. The USA cannot stand reform, especially social reform since it would threaten the special interests of its ruling class. Evil rules.

"The criminality of US allies gets ignored, downplayed and frantically obfuscated, while the criminality of US enemies gets spotlighted, exaggerated, and pushed to the forefront of international attention."

This has been so obvious these past few years (decades really) that it almost doesn't bear repeating--EXCEPT for the fact that the US Ministry of Truth works overtime to continue this farce that the US is a humanitarian bastion of "freedom and democracy" (always in quotes). Because you pegged it perfectly, Caitlin:

"The US empire is a psychopathic killer wearing a plastic smiling mask of compassion and humanitarianism. But if you look closely it’s not hard to catch a glimpse of the snarling, blood-spattered face underneath."

The mask is slipping. It's time for We the People to rip it off and throw it away. Once exposed, we will have to cage the blood-spattered, snarling beast once and for all and allow a genuinely humane society to flourish. Or else it'll eat us all for lunch.

"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is humanity's original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion." Oscar Wilde, 1854-1900,

"We used to wonder where war lived, what it was that made it so vile. And now we realize that we know where it lives...inside ourselves." Albert Camus

Evangelicals & others aren't helping, since Israel is a " sacred cow " or golden calf to them, especially since Har Megiddo is supposedly where everything comes to a head at an unspecified, rather nebulous date. Israel's influence on " certain Americans" & their thinking is horrendously, ridiculously, LAUGHABLY underrated. But there sure AIN'T much to laugh about.

I always feel better hearing anyone express an outrage which should be global. It’s all too infrequent but it’s picking up.

The US Has A Standing Policy Of Ignoring The Human Rights Violations Of Its Allies.

They don't just ignore them they reward their human rights violating allies with even more weapons and funds which only add's to the debt while the rich grow even richer.

When the ICC was considering investigating US war crimes the ICC was threatened while Israeli's denied the ICC to do their own investigation but offered to investigate their own and then found absolutely nothing wrong.

Here's the problem - the ICC and Geneva conventions are utterly pointless while there's no one world government to back it up and I'm not proposing a one world government either.

Our so called politicians need to stop kowtowing to Washington's increasingly illogical diktat and take charge which requires a spine which is something that our political representatives lack since they are made from rubber and bounce all over the place.

It also requires a well informed citizenry who'll demand nothing less but an immediate end to politicians kowtowing to Washington or we might as well embrace anarchy.

Then there's John Mearschaumer who has informed us that we [Australians] have sacrificed prosperity for security - one presumes that this is applied all over the world which means that we also need an economic system that isn't based on usury or nothing changes and we'll continue borrowing from the financial elite and then promising to repay that amount with interest which is impossible but that is how nations lost control over their sovereignty and then there's aspect of what happened in the lead up and after the second world war as everything that's happening is the result of long term planning involving several generations.

Every Presidential candidate backs Zionist control of their own country except Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, MIT, PHD. When you let Zionists run your foreign policy, their allegiance is for Israel, not America. Through decades of blackmail, extortion, and bribery, the Israel lobbies have infiltrated the U.S. government and the majority of it's bureaucracies. And some wonder why America ignores it's so-called allies war crimes. American politicians are complicit in those war crimes, also. Americans need to look past their uni-party of Republicans and Democrats and start electing people of worth who truly work for America's interests with no foreign appendage.

The arrogance and delusion of our State Dept and their absolute vision for the perfect future is pure evil. They sacrifice people around the world by the millions while they proclaim to be saving them. The future of America is being destroyed by creating enemy’s around the world who will not blame our corrupt leaders but us, the fools who elected them.
