Possibly the biggest reason Western culture is such a mess right now is that the West has lost touch with the best of its roots, and embraced nihilist obscurantism. No television, don't buy magazines or newspapers, never listen to radio except when I was much younger and faithfully listened to pirate radio Caroline every evening for the few hours it broadcast. The unfortunate part of most of those radio presenters when Caroline got shutdown, they moved across to BBC Radio 1 and within a very short time conformed and just became another lot of rebels who sold out for fame and fortune.
