Lynne,

In her poem Caitlin is saying to us don't you dare forget the children of Gaza. The children shot to pieces. Their limbs amputated. Burnt. Hungry. With their battered saucepans waiting for gruel to be doled out. Wise with misery beyond their years. Looking for their mothers and fathers in the rubble. The little children who became old and wise in an instant. The little children lost.

I just cut and pasted the poem into a comment from me to Biden on the White House website. It worked. I'm gonna do it now to Kamala Harris. Then I will cut and paste it into a comment to my Congresswoman (Judy Chu, D Pasadena). I write/scream/bitch to my elected reps on a regular basis not because it will make a difference because they are so full of shit. I do it because I want their interns and staff, and for the White House, their political appointees, to feel guilty (or maybe just a teeny bit uncomfortable) for working for them. It brings a smile to my face when I push submit or hang up the phone, so it's worth it to me. I was a congressional intern like a million years ago, and look at me now! Try it my friends!!

Thank you for contacting the Biden-Harris Administration.

President Biden and Vice President Harris value every opportunity to engage with the American people, and the Administration is grateful for your outreach. Our country faces many challenges, and messages like yours help us better understand how the Biden-Harris Administration can serve American families.

We take careful note of the suggestions, thoughts, questions, and stories we receive, and we’re working hard to ensure you receive an appropriate response.

Sincerely,

The Office of Presidential Correspondence

Thank you for saying this Caitlin. The chilling finality of the lost limbs of children, the lost parents of orphans, the weeping of children who wish they had been martyred along with the rest of their families, is beyond heartbreaking. I can no longer listen to those lying mouthpieces, and don’t understand how the journalists who sit and listen to their disrespectful nonsense are not yelling at them and calling them out for their lies.

The people in Gaza are being ruined. 34,000dead. 100,000 maimed. Children will be stunted mentally and physically from starvation. ALL are suffering traumas they will never get over. Not just from the bombing but also from the world looking the other way. The entire population will be suffering from major PTSD....forever.

The starvation just goes on........while the focus is now on the Iranian attack which demands a response. Did anyone notice it WAS a response to the Israel bombing of their embassy killing top Iranian officials???

It's not only the bodies of children that are being ripped apart in Gaza, but the heart of humanity. As we sit in living rooms witnessing the carnage while we try to digest what is in front of our eyes, the soul of humanity, providing there is one, is being torn apart just as much as Palestinian children's bodies.

When push comes to shove, we are 30 minutes away from nuclear Armageddon, but if that scenario is somehow delayed for a few more years, the Earth's climates may get the job done that much sooner. Reminds me of Tennessee Ernie Ford's 'Sixteen Tons' in which the lyrics tell of a miner's fists, "If the right one don't get ya then the left one will" Pick your poison --- climate apocalypse or nuclear holocaust.

Joy.... Not many people have any idea of the possible consequences of nuclear war. A few weeks ago, Annie Jacobson was interviewed by Lex Fridman about her book, 'Nuclear War', which just came out recently .... The interview is almost three hours long, and more informative than any rendition of such an event that has ever been aired. The link below is about 34 minutes of the content, but can be seen in full if just googling the reference.

gypsy33,

See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za6tZB19E4c for the latest information on the aftermath and possible beginning sequences involved in a nuclear war. Annie Jacobson, having just published a book called 'Nuclear War', gives a riveting description of an event that could, indeed, involve both scenarios.

Endorsing Biden because you see Trump as an existential threat makes no sense. Replacing Biden with a sharp, anti-corruption candidate would be the thing to do in that case. The fact that the DNC won’t replace Biden with RFK Jr. tells us their real fear is an end to their racket.

Forgive me for repeating myself, but we must use the law we have to bring the Biden Adminstration to, if not justice, then to trial in the judicial system. 18 U.S. Code § 1091 is the statute that incorporated the Genocide Convention in US criminal law. There is now precedence for arresting former presidents. I only wish the protestors would put this law in the administrations faces every day. They need to ponder on a future behind bars when they leave office, if we can't do it before then.
