The critical movement has not been on the horizontal left-right progress vs regress scale. It's been on the vertical authoritarian scale.

The growing numbers of people who see China as a problem only indicates how tirelessly the weathervane of NatSec propaganda has been directing them there.

The exact same thing happened 20 years ago when pre-existing plans for regime change in the Middle East saw an opportunity for enactment in the wake of 9/11. To this day embarrassingly high numbers of Americans believe that Saddam had something to do with it. Hundreds of thousands of dead civilians? Oh yeah, that happened, too.

Problems which should be solved around a conference table are treated as political, economic, and media opportunities for aggression because currently that's where the money and power dictates it be placed.

Of course, once hundreds of thousands are dead, and political and monetary fortunes have been made, the conference table finally finds its place as a peace treaty propaganda prop for the next "unavoidable" conflict.

Step one: stop voting for these people.

We all just want our little dopamine fix? When you're called on in school, better repeat what you're told you believe; if you buy in they'll let you pretend to FIT in,

BeliTsari: this is why I don’t agree with the general analysis that we need to elect a different group of people who are not evil and or willing to use propaganda to subjugate us. There is not a different group of humans that will alleviate the situation and your 9 year old at school is propagandized of necessity. Without The application of force through propaganda human society is not possible.

Caitlin says we elect sociopaths, I say power makes you a Sociopath, that you need to act as a sociopath .

This is not a matter for Freud, it is a function of who we are, like gravity, it is the stuff of Isaac Newton. Good diagnosis, bad prescription: if only the good people were in charge.

We're allowed to vote for sneering tag-team kleptocrats who fork us lemmings to sharks circling, sensing warm blood? Sociopath, is euphemism for senile vampire feeding frenzy (it's a chicken/ egg conundrum as to which comes first?) Everything is propaganda!

Yeah, don't repeat the mistake of starting World War II over Poland.

Happened to have just lived with a woman from Taiwan and she would prefer that China leave Taiwan alone and respect it's wishes. Xi Jinping, however, sees Taiwan as historically belonging to China, and therefore, wants to reunite Taiwan with China whether Taiwan wants to be re-united or not.

If China would stop rattling it's saber, this whole mess would calm down, and could actually prevent the United States from doing something stupid.

~

But China is riding high right now and doesn't want to miss this opportunity to flex it's muscle.

Sorry to say, we need sanity to prevail on both sides of the Pacific right now in order to avoid what could turn out to be one of the stupidest moves by the leaders of this world in all of history.

There are two US carrier groups, one UK carrier group and some Dutch warships at the shores of China, but it is China that flexes its muscles? Right.

People have been trying to keep America from doing something stupid for my entire life. To no avail.

Let's stop seeing this as us against them or this against that. We basically live in a mono-polar world with magnates at the top jostling for position. China is building its carrier fleet plus support and defense ships in order to assert it's position in this "New World Order." I doubt that any war will actually break out between the U.S. and China, however, because China is too important economically to the U.S. for them to have Chinese production cut off.

~

War will only break out if it serves the purpose of reducing world population, not because it will champion any kind of ideology.

See this video, it describes who the real power player are:

I don't buy all of this, but up until the conclusion, most of it because it appears reasonable. This also informs me that the United States government is really not a major player in shaping world affairs, it more or less does what it is told by the financial elite.

This was absolutely excellent. Thank you for sharing it. I don't watch tv or many podcasts and documentaries online, but I watched all of this. It gets to the root of the problem unlike anything else.

That's what I thought as well. We have to stop seeing this as us against them, the United States against China, Democracy vs. Communism, because that is not how the world is organized from the point of view of the real centers of power. If you would have noticed, Xi JinPing was at the World Economic Forum, along with Prince Charles and Bill Gates.

Good points, Timothy. Given their unbridled greed, I'm sure they have their power struggles, but I have long thought the "robber barons," from across the globe, have many shared interests. Not the least of which is keeping control of the population.

"We have to stop seeing this as us against them United States against China . . . " Agreed. I would also say we should stop seeing this as nameless, faceless governments that are causing the wars and creating the problems and fear that has had us all paralyzed from 911 to covid. The families and billionaires that control the vast majority of the world's wealth are causing them. They have names and faces.
