I've had to endure American politicians and media attempt to carve out some sort of Jewish exception to blatant racism and ethnic cleansing my entire life, and l'm completely sick of it.

That even so-called progressives like AOC and Andrew Yang are reduced to babbling morons in the name of Zionism should tell us that this particular jig is up, morally speaking.

Americans eventually had no trouble recognizing the bankruptcy of South African Apartheid and acted accordingly -- with a successful boycott. Now, even this peaceful method of protest is condemned as antisemitic and in many states even legislated against. Why the difference?

South Africans never commanded oodles of campaign cash, influence over media outlets and college endowments, or occupy land of military strategic importance is my guess. Of course these realities are glossed over with wall to wall propaganda and one-sided moralistic proclamations of undying friendship designed to squelch debate on the subject, never to examine it.

So effective is this media bubble that during last summer's George Floyd protests, l only heard the demand that Israel stop training our police departments (with predictable violent results) from one outlet -- Chris Hedges on Jimmy Dore. In America, blind support for Israel remains a very large elephant in a very tiny room.

Your article captures this sad and horrific dynamic perfectly. I hope to live long enough to see it finally end.

Banning the "deadly exchange" once again uses a domestic issue to distract from the evil in which the US participates overseas. The "deadly exchange" shouldn't be possible because Israeli police and military should not be using those tactics in the first place.

Also, regarding South Africa, part of the "new definition" of anti-semitism is "no double standards," therefor Israel must be judged under the same standards with which we judged South Africa.

Obviously, the 4 month old was throwing rocks. As far as AOC is concerned, she knows damned well who's on first, what's on third, but maybe not why.

You mean Israel actually allowed a Palestinian baby to get out of its mother's womb? I don't believe it! /s

This reincarnation of Israel is the worst thing that could have ever happened to the Jews.

In the battle of Jericho every Canaanite was slaughtered. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Jericho

Every Canaanite -- how is this not a Holocaust?

"as you sow, so shall you reap"

Netanyahu's political infighting, where he seems to imagine himself the progeny of King David, has so fractured the spirit of Israel that it has lost its collective will to exist -- Israeli factions despise one another more than their external enemies. Some factions believe so firmly in God's approval of their crimes (backed by the IDF using American Weapons) that they wantonly murder, destroy and create havoc -- not just within Israel, but on a global scale. (Iraq, Iran, Syria) Other factions look on in horror with helpless impotence. (Dare I say, the same impotence of American Progressives -- including American Jewish Progressives?)

The "good news" (if there is such a thing) is that the destruction of Israel will free the USA from the tyranny of AIPAC. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=the+lobby+usa+episode+1

The "bad news" is that (just some?) American Christians will rejoice at the beginning of the end-times.

I'm so sorry. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out the point with nothing to show for it. It isn't as if there was a revelation of anything new. (IOW, the "thrust" of the article seems to me to be something I signed-on-to years ago.)

I am sorry. But it is over my head. The article assumes I know things that I perhaps may know, but it doesn't provide me with a context in which to plug those ideas into anything new.

I hope you'll understand that I'm not going to spend more time trying to "grock" the context of this article. It needs a "hook" or a thesis that will grab my imagination and make me want to follow the specifics.

Perhaps you might watch a bit more SciFi. The ones that work are the ones that provide a thesis up front and then carefully connect the dots. The ones that don't work are those that throw out a bunch of dots and then pile even more dots on top of that and more dots on top of that expecting that the organization of those dots if totally obvious.

It isn't obvious.

And it gets very boring if I don't know where I'm suppose to be going.

Just to be clear, in no way am I disputing anything to posted. I am saying though that what you posted is so muddied to me that I think I've spent way too much time on it and I don't see a final goal to be achieved.

If it makes you feel better, just consider me too stupid. Of course, you have then put up such a high barrier that you may never get your point made to anyone.
