I've had to endure American politicians and media attempt to carve out some sort of Jewish exception to blatant racism and ethnic cleansing my entire life, and l'm completely sick of it.

That even so-called progressives like AOC and Andrew Yang are reduced to babbling morons in the name of Zionism should tell us that this particular jig is up, morally speaking.

Americans eventually had no trouble recognizing the bankruptcy of South African Apartheid and acted accordingly -- with a successful boycott. Now, even this peaceful method of protest is condemned as antisemitic and in many states even legislated against. Why the difference?

South Africans never commanded oodles of campaign cash, influence over media outlets and college endowments, or occupy land of military strategic importance is my guess. Of course these realities are glossed over with wall to wall propaganda and one-sided moralistic proclamations of undying friendship designed to squelch debate on the subject, never to examine it.

So effective is this media bubble that during last summer's George Floyd protests, l only heard the demand that Israel stop training our police departments (with predictable violent results) from one outlet -- Chris Hedges on Jimmy Dore. In America, blind support for Israel remains a very large elephant in a very tiny room.

Your article captures this sad and horrific dynamic perfectly. I hope to live long enough to see it finally end.

Obviously, the 4 month old was throwing rocks. As far as AOC is concerned, she knows damned well who's on first, what's on third, but maybe not why.
