Reading by Tim Foley:Oh for the day when the bombs stop falling. When the humans stop biting and stabbing each other and spraying everything with blood and oil. When the men remove their iron breastplates and stand tender and vulnerable in their original beauty.
More important than ever that the search for justice continues! The work that the Hind Rajab Foundation is doing to track down and bring Israeli criminals to justice is one that is vital in the effort to hold Israel accountable. Let us hope they will also turn their sights on the criminal leaders of the countries of the west who are co-perpetrators of these crimes.
Silencing the nattering mini-a-holes (I always spelled it homunculi) spouting lies inside the crevices of our brains. There's the key. Because our corporate elite masters will perennially implant them there if we allow it. Put up those barriers to brain pollution.

Call on Pope Leo XIV to do whatever it takes to save Gaza and stop the bombing, and end the starvation. Let him go to Gaza and stand with the suffering people who are being massacred by Israel and the Western posers. He can go to Gaza right now, and insist aid be allowed in. Then on to the West Bank to end the occupation and apartheid.
Is there anything more important in today's world than this?
That birth day is nearly 108 years late in coming. It was supposed to be on Nov. 11, 1918, when the armistice was signed ending World War I, the unprecedentedly horrific event that sundered Western world order at the time. But the truth of the matter is, apart from WWI not actually turning out to be “the war to end all wars,” despite that being the hope after the horror, we continue to live with the consequences. One of those, a key one but not the sole one, is the Balfour Declaration. From that alone read Western European, principally Great Britain and France, later the United States, meddling in the Middle East for the sake of trade and oil. To hell with the welfare of the indigenous peoples. Also read Zionism scoring big in the “plus” column with its machinations working out to produce Balfour. “The rest,” as they say, “is (sordid) history.”
But not only for Palestine. Also very much for the world at large. A mere seventeen years after the end of World War II – itself only twenty years after the 1919 Paris Peace Conference – the Cuban Missile Crisis nearly signified the end of civilization. So much for “the life of the world [moving] forward into broad, sunlit uplands.”
Where are we sixty-four years after that milestone – near tombstone – in human history? The Doomsday Clock presently stands at eighty-five seconds to midnight. The United States has crossed the threshold of $1+ trillion going to the Pentagon per year, an amount to be funded by cutting $900 billion in Medicaid coverage over ten years, much of the rest heaped upon the national debt.
Forward to those sunlit uplands? Hardly. Retrenchment on health care, retrenchment on the environment, retrenchment on education, retrenchment on infrastructure, retrenchment on civil rights, civil liberties, constitutional protections.
Is there any hope for this species, at least the American version?
Birth day late in coming? More like the party’s over, time to call it a day. Period.

When we stop being impressed with all the stuff someone has bought with all their money
When we stop being impressed with stuff, period.
And good morning to you too, Caitlin. I can hardly wait for that wonderful day, and I'm sure we'll make it happen, altogether.
We will be extremely lucky if that day is significantly in advance of when those very bombs destroy the ability to manufacture them.
When all the laughter dies in sorrow
And the tears have risen to a flood
When all the wars have found a cause
In human wisdom and in blood
Do you think they'll cry in sadness
Do you think the eye will blink
Do you think they'll curse the madness
Do you even think they'll think
When all the great galactic systems
Sigh to a frozen halt in space
Do you think there will be some remnant
Of beauty of the human race
Do you think there will be a vestige
Or a sniffle or a cosmic tear
Do you think a greater thinking thing
Will give a damn that man was here?

When we come together
as native terrestrials
against the freaks
with mechanical minds.
That will be the beginning.
That will be our birth day.
That will be the dawn
of a wild and wonderful
adventure.

Not too sure about my wife being feral though or with her tongue in that jar in the cellar. lol
When we remember that peace is not a vision but a memory,
we may gather to reclaim the peace of a shared commons
among equals, force those who make the bombs and drop them
to gather up the scraps and pieces of flesh left behind
And hold them to account for every soul they’ve torn asunder,
Forcing them to kneel and witness what they keep beneath the thunder.
Make them touch the ruined earth, and face the price their profits claim,
Until the architects of ash are silenced by the weight of shame.
Then, from the soil stained with sorrow, we will plant a different seed,
Rooted deep in human dignity, rejecting every ruthless greed.
We will build a world where hands that harm are put to work to heal,
And forge the futures that we lost from all the grief we feel.
AI and I collaboration, based on 300,000 yrs of human existence as egalitarian, sharing, non-violent people.....whose memory we mistake for vision.
