This is just a quick note to my Substack subscribers to let everyone know that I’ve found spam trolls going through the comments here posing as me and asking commenters to contact it privately by email. They’ve been blocked and reported.
So FYI: I will never ask commenters to contact me privately through Substack replies. If you encounter an account with my name and profile pic asking you to contact them through email, phone or other private means, it isn’t me and you should block and ignore them.
I’m a bit annoyed that spam is such a problem on Substack; I’ve already had to close the comments on my website a while back because it was getting overwhelmed by spambots. I’ll try to find solutions, and may end up posting a notice at the end of my articles to make sure everyone knows not to interact with imposter Caitlin Johnstone accounts.
Thanks!
Caitlin
That sounds very much like a campaign to make Substack writers feel as threatened and uneasy as possible. Shouldn’t be surprising, given where we are now, but still... Thank you for all you do.
So you’re saying that we aren’t having lunch on Saturday?
