You are correct! It’s not ok! In fact it’s immoral US/ Israel actions. Morals, conscience, integrity are not present in “ leadership”. Just utter evil against humans and the environment.

The vast majority of us proletarian grown US adults had better get used to the idea that our economy is about to get its ass kicked, courtesy of the incomparable criminal ineptitude of our government and the preparation of Iran for this moment.

Nothing to add.

Unfortunately, there are too many grown adults who believe the most ridiculous fairy tales. Others simply side with whoever they think is strongest.

Saw The preachers (whatever) close to Trump. Good Lord man. I thought that shit was quarantined off to people who lived off the grid ffs.

Both flavors of Zionists want to usher in hell to bring in heaven. I thought Islam was the kooky shit.

I’m dumbfounded by this in the 21st century.

It's insanity. Hegseth ahs bible studies and keeps telling the troops about his version of the bible. this should not be allowed. It should not be allowed in politics period, but in the military?

Fortunately, there are many adults who side with the Underdog. Although, more and more, the Underdog is looking like the Overdog in this case.

The truth cannot be suppressed and the reality is being shown despite the increasingly unhinged posts by Trump on Truth Social to the contrary. The world is going to be a different place when this ends. Israel, for example, has told its citizens it can't protect them. Despite the blackout and threats of prison for those who photograph the damage, it gets out by word of mouth.

Iran has advanced weaponry that cannot be intercepted. America does not yet have hypersonics. Three carriers are planned for the fight from the USA . One is damaged and one is on the way. They must keep a safe distance. Our weapons stock cannot be replenished fast enough to keep up.

The Strait of Hormuz is effectively closed and the effects will send shockwaves around the world that even the slowest most oblivious people will stand up and notice.

An education in geopolitics is coming to everyone whether they want it or not. Then we'll see demands for answers. Lies and propaganda have limits.

The cowardly moneygrubbers (UAE, Saudia Arabia, Qatar) have found out much to their horror the US and Israel are quite the backstabbers. I don’t feel sorry for them — they never once tried to help the Palestinians as they were being bombed and starved. Reality has not and will not be giving them a free pass and an education in geopolitics is on their horizon.

The Western corporate media would try to convince you that the US has already defeated Iran, while the global economy and financial system go into full meltdown before our eyes. They don’t want you to believe your lying eyes.

It's not OK for grown adults to believe that an administration that could come up with ICE and the immigration detention centers that are torturing immigrants and who could just shoot anyone they please who objects to ICE has any good intentions for anyone anywhere except for who they see in the mirror.

The planet is going down in a whirlwind of environmental collapse, war and fascism. The key to survival is regime change in the US and the complete collapse of the imperial, racist, genocidal state. People living outside of the US should be boycotting US products. BDS toward the USA!

"It’s not okay for grown adults to believe the United States wages wars to promote humanitarian interests and bring freedom and democracy to oppressed populatiions."

Even if the US were waging wars with a sincere desire to promote humanitarian interests and democracy, it's not okay. Such an effort is also imperialism, because it is all about imposing >your< idea of humanitarian interests and >your< idea of self-rule. It assumes that there is some objectively superior system of social organization that simultaneously optimizes conditions for individuals and for society at large. And that you know what that organization looks like. The only system that comes close to that is life in hunter-gatherer bands and tribes, where personal property (of the material sort) is near-zero. Life in those groups (some, at least) is radically egalitarian, in the sense that no one is allowed to rise above the rest. Tolstoy understood this; aside from him, very few.

It's not okay for mature adults to promote imperialism based on humanitarian ideas, or any other ideas, no matter how benevolent the intent. It's not okay to impose your society onto another society, period. That is why every healthy society pushes back against such an attempt.

Can we please raise the level of conversation here to consider that?

Indu Abeysekara's avatar

Duane McPherson, That's exactly what Caitlin is doing " raising the level of conversation...". Don't you get it? She says " It's not okay for grown adults..... ".

It isn't okay. American, here, again. I just finished watching a brave Iraqi student confront a group of American soldiers and asking how they could bomb children and schools. The soldiers weren't armed, relaxing, and looked his age, when they arrogantly and ignorantly replied, repeating propaganda like...well you all bombed the twin towers, you killed 30000 protestors who want just want to be free...paraphrasing...maybe it was democracy, which is even more astounding...The look on the young man's face broke my heart., already in pain from all the loss and for his country...and that's who Iran is dealing with on the ground...I truly think, he believed, he could get through to them...

I know a couple of man babies who ingest the vomit that passes for reportage in MSM { in this case, the conservative kind }. I've come to understand that some people have an overwhelming emotional need to believe certain absurdities, and are fortified against the dangers that factual information could pose to said beliefs. Though at this stage in American's decline - excepting Zionists, Evangelicals, and a few other cretins - the glassy-eyed flag-waving imbeciles of 2003, who applauded imperial bloodshed, have become a minority.

I wonder what is it about Americans that make them more susceptible to think this way? Or is it the same for other countries as well? But for sure Americans have the most impact on the world. Who cares what the average Belarusian thinks, right?

Teresa's avatar

I care. I'm an American, and they don't care what we think either. Trump didn't win the election by having the most votes. In our country that doesn't win elections. Its the electoral votes that wins. Takes too long to explain here, but there's the internet, if anyone is interested.

Tenggara's avatar

Yeah I get it. Thanks for the explanation though

It’s not OK for grown adults to be in a cult that deifies a lifelong racist and grifter, an inveterate liar and serial philanderer, someone who coveted his own daughter and is a fascist and war criminal. The Trump cultists think they are doing G-d’s work. Let that sink in.
