In all this unspeakable horror, Israel is sewing its own doom. The world despises Israel now. 100's of millions of us will never want anything to do with any Israeli product or company or even, individuals. Because western politicians are sheltering them, we can't do what we would like to do, but for many of us, Israel is not a people we want anything to do with. Shun then, scorn them, turn from them. Give them not a dollar, nor a thought nor a kind word. I don't care if they call it antisemitic, I wear that word like a badge of honour now.

Surveys show that three quarters of the Jewish Israeli public think the IDF isn't using **ENOUGH** force, and 68% don't think that **ANY** aid should be allowed into Gaza. It's a sick, sick, society.

I think it's important to differentiate between Zionists and Jews or Zionism and Judaism. They are completely different things. It's only through decades of Zionist propaganda that the conflation of the two even enters our minds. Just about every author, journalist, academic, that has educated me about this abomination called Israel has been Jewish themselves.

Today’s WaPo board opines on how to get Israel and the US on the same page, as if they haven’t been “doing it on the paper” for 75 years. Why does the Ed Board want them on the same page? No surprise though. Here’s a comment on the relentless pro-Israel propaganda.

“Israel continues to take money from the U.S. to commit crimes and to hoard. It does so , having per cap foreign reserves greater than China, Germany, France, the US, and Canada combined. Its reserves are even greater than Croesus-rich Norway. Yet cadging, begging and finagling.

Its spy, Jonathan Pollard was the most damaging spy in US history.

It sank the USS Liberty, perhaps knowingly.

The US spent $8 trillion on the war on terror. Ignited by Israel.

This comes to more than 3x the personal worth of the median American.

It lies about nearly everything.

It has ruined US cred at the UN and created a billion enemies, squandering invaluable US goodwill earned from decades of genuine foreign aid.

The choices were those of people like those on the Ed Board. But not of the taxpayers.

This serial outrage has to stop.”

Expand full comment

They knew exactly what they did as the attacked the USS Liberty for HOURS in waves of attack after surveilling the ship with close fly-byes with military aircraft beforehand, with the American flag flying prominently on the ship. In obedience to the Zionist lobby, the US govt buried the truth of what happened, betraying the American sailors murdered, wounded and traumatized by the Israelis.

Expand full comment

While I agree with your sentiments about Israel, I wanted to point out a few things:

(1) "It has ruined US cred at the UN" -> US is far from having good cred in the UN even before this Genocide. Only people that are unaware of world events/history and the machinations of the US Empire would think that the US has any cred in the UN (or anywhere else).

(2) "squandering invaluable US goodwill earned from decades of genuine foreign aid" -> This goodwill from US foreign aid idea is an illusion and often a scam (https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/sep/02/as-a-system-foreign-aid-is-a-fraud-and-does-nothing-for-inequality), (https://harvardpolitics.com/debunking-myths-foreign-aid/), Friendly Fire: How Foreign Aid Hurts Development (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-Q3zWv0Evw), (https://medium.com/elephantsintheroom/40-the-illusion-of-us-and-british-government-aid-54066673c434), etc.

(3) "The US spent $8 trillion on the war on terror. Ignited by Israel." -> It's easy to place all the blame on Israel. But a careful and thorough analysis of history shows that it is US FOREIGN POLICY and MAINTENANCE OF GLOBAL HEGEMONY that is behind the activities of the US globally. Israel serves the interests of US FOREIGN POLICY and GLOBAL OLIGARCHS and the Power Elite (for the most part and in most cases with few exceptions like the USS Liberty bombing for example). Also, the $8 trillion that the US spent is calculated as an increase in GDP (military spending, kickbacks to MIC and power elite, military jobs, etc.). In reality, most military/war spending (and the MIC) are ways to enrich the few (power elite) at the expense of the many (plebians) and if it wasn't the WAR ON TERROR, it would be something else that the US establishment would spend the money on (neoliberal capitalism).

Ask yourself this hypothetical question: What if Israel never existed? Do you think the US and Western powers would leave the middle-east region alone and not want to control the resources (oil, gas, trade routes, etc.) in the Middle-East? The Middle-East has always been a colonial and neo-colonial project - regardless of whether Israel exists or not - it was so before the creation of Israel. And if Israel were to cease to exist (one can only hope), powerful and imperialist nations would continue to meddle in the affairs of the region (whether they be US, UK, France, Russia, China, or whichever country attempts at being a global superpower). Now, if the resources of the region were to deplete and disappear, the dynamics and interests of other nations would completely change.

Couldn’t agree more with all your points above. Israel is truly evil but it’s a creation and a tool of western empire.

Yes. The beginning of what we are seeing now. Thanks Johnson, a weak man with few since then any better and none since then with the guts to bring Israel to heel

The only President who stood up to the Jews in the form of Israelis with their insidious and openly operated spy operation on the US mainland through AIPAC, was JFK and they cut short his objections to their nuclear plans, now with up to 400 warheads, primed and ready to go, "one for every capital" as they have said.

But we absolutely are disgusted by Zionism and particularly now when their true colours have been revealed for all to see. So, please don't conflate our disgust and abhorrence for Zionism with any feelings for Jewry or the Jewish faith. We hate Zionists... whether Jewish or Christian. But the last few decades have seen a descent into extremism and more militarism in the world, sponsored primarily by the now fully corrupted US government, captured by the MIC and Wallstreet. I'd like to remain optimistic about the future, but it's hard to do so. Meanwhile, the slaughter and children's screams continue. :(

The first was deep admiration for Gazans -- that their life in a concentration camp didn't stop them from turning desert into cultivated land enabling them to self-sufficiently feed themselves despite the unyielding pressures of life under occupation by a brutal sadistic overlord. The second was cultural genocide. Of course, the destruction of universities, mosques, churches are obviously intended to ablate Gazan/Palestinian culture, but agriCULTURE -- the local techniques, sacred olive groves, folklore etc. stored in the culture to achieve what they had in this challenging environment is part of that overall cultural storehouse of knowledge, and bloody Israel wants to wipe all of it away without a trace, to leave no evidence that these subhumans ever lived on that strip of land.

The imagery of Israeli destruction is what is making people rise up against this despicable, brutal genocide that has such a sense of intimacy when they slaughter the Palestinians people, including their children. When they ruin their horticulture. When they kill them in hospitals, leave their bodies under rubble, or in open fields. dig up their graveyards, attack them as they rush toward food to stave off starvation. It's as if they want to experience their annihilation on an intimate level. As for the United States: Sec’y of State Blinken is Jewish. How can he be acting in good faith to help the Palestinians? And at the level of Biden’s cabinet, fully 19 employees hold dual US-Israeli citizenship, too many people, too close to the center of power for my liking.

I'm still up for impeaching Biden and his cabinet.

From the Washington Post

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2024/03/29/us-weapons-israel-gaza-war/

"The Biden administration in recent days quietly authorized the transfer of billions of dollars in bombs and fighter jets to Israel despite Washington’s concerns about an anticipated military offensive in southern Gaza that could threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians.

The new arms packages include more than 1,800 MK84 2,000-pound bombs and 500 MK82 500-pound bombs, according to Pentagon and State Department officials familiar with the matter. The 2,000-pound bombs have been linked to previous mass-casualty events throughout Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. These officials, like some others, spoke to The Washington Post on the condition of anonymity because recent authorizations have not been disclosed publicly."

In case anyone is stupid enough to believe that anyone in the US government is not enthusiastically fine with genocide. Or thinks that, for example, "standing with Bernie" about the atrocities in Gaza means anything but another request for money and votes. Rhetoric no long counts. The "Bernies" will still endorse Biden/Harris/whatever nasty candidate.

The Bernie ship sailed a long time ago (for me). His judgement and his unwavering support of the democratic party and Genocide Joe - makes him untrustworthy. Sanders can do the talk really well, but when it comes to doing the walk - he always comes up with some kind of excuse - to not show up.

I do snicker at the "progressive" thing now - all that means is that members of Congress have introduced or endorsed bills that we all know will never get to the floor, much less passed.

I can barely believe it myself. Considering all the outcries worldwide and (lame) legal efforts, to send those bombs is just truly horrific. This is in-your-face murder. IMO.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Israhell possesses some kiddie-porn video involving Genocide Joe.

Not many people mention this but the 'pier' which I understand will be built by the US military is going to be fascinating to watch. When the first US soldiers killed or attacked by the IDF the wallowing and wailing will be huge. It will not be Hamas that attacks but you better get ready for the propaganda machine to go all out against them.

This has to be the MOST stupid idea and will blow Biden out of the water.

Jenny:

That pier is being built in order to deport Palestinians.

And it will be built with the rubble from bombed-out Palestinian buildings replete with the bones of the dead that lie beneath them.

Yeah......I am sure it is for deportation....just don't want to believe it. Where will they be deported to?
