"The US creates poverty and chaos in other countries and then sounds the alarm over a “migrant crisis” as people flee those conditions it created. It’s like flooding the basement and then crying when the people who live there try to come upstairs."

Having worked with immigrants, I often wondered why they flee to the US when it is the US that has caused the majority of the problems in their country. Often times it's because they have no other choice--the countries surrounding their warzone have also been destroyed by American boycotts and coup d'etats and drug cartels as well. If the US wants the migrations to stop, then it'll need to stop ruining the lives and the countries of its neighbors.

The Revolution Continues: It is the US GOVERNMENT that does all of the bad things, not the American people. Migrants still come to the USA because there are still good people here and opportunity.

I am sick and tired of people conflating the bastards in DC, NYC, SF, and LA with the American people.

This compartmentalization is exactly the problem. There are too many Americans who know that the prerogatives of imperialism depend on their silence and active cooperation. They are compensated for their willingness to lie and obstruct and misrepresent. Most of the thousand-plus churches across this land are complicit actors. All corporations are complicit players. Most labor unions are on the side of the imperialists.

Americans are much more responsible than most are willing to acknowledge.

I’m not saying they aren’t motivated and conditioned to play the game according to imperialist ultimatum. It isn’t a matter of intelligence. The question is not asked. The entire system in the USA is rigged against the people. From birth to death, education, minimum wage, work laws (you can be fired at will), housing, safety, retirement, the people are in a daily war to survive. The ones who champion them (Socialists, labor unions, Assange type journos) are called traitors and hunted down. It’s not a surprise then that we have a poorly educated population, the highest maternal and infant mortality rate in all developed nations (it’s safer to be pregnant in Mexico), and the most miserable, depressed citizens in the world.

These types of citizens are much easier to manipulate and be made to fight each other.

Distract, divide, and they won’t notice we’re about to go extinct from climate change and WWIII.

Ukraine won't be like Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya, because this time the US has picked a fight with a peer adversary. The US has shown itself to be unprepared for real war in terms of its productive capacity.

All this talk about attacking China is reckless but also incredibly stupid, because China will react similarly to Russia, and if the US is fighting on two fronts it could get properly beaten, which is something it's never experienced before.

When I go to my Veterans Posts the American Legion and AMVETS, I talk to my comrades about how we were used by our Oligarch Rulers. Nikki Haley spouts vitriolic nonsense about China typical of the warped views and tactics of the American political class: create an enemy, foment fear - and splurge billions on the arms industry. One question: WHY is China building up its military? Because the US had been rattling sabres and threatening China since it first perceived it as a threat to its hegemony! Three of the largest overseas U.S. military bases are within 3,000 kms of China.

If any nation poses an existential threat to peace it is the USA - the misery they have perpetrated on countless millions of innocent people since WWII must surpass anything that has happened in the last 3000 years and more: think about the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq (the “war on terror”) and interference in countless instances from the overthrow of Mohammad Mossadegh in Iran to the backing of the Pinochet regime in Chile, the current situation in Venezuela … and on and on! Whenever a foreign government (almost invariably socialist) has set about addressing grave injustices and inequalities the US steps in, covertly or openly - usually to defend its commercial interests in oil, copper, lithium etc.

Talk about an “evil empire”!!!!

"If you support the persecution of Julian Assange, that means you believe all media everywhere should function as US propaganda organs. You believe all journalists everywhere have a responsibility to help the US empire keep its crimes hidden, and should be punished if they don’t."

Yes, well, we have a few of them in Julian’s country, Australia. Currently under the command of the AUKUS brigade, with our feeble executive politicians dancing to the US tune, every day.

In this country, there is a national broadcaster who had a reputation for honest reporting, tackling the hard stories and being supporters of items of national interest. In the past, populated by one or two foreign affairs journalists, a credit to their profession. No more.

Then along came the Labor/Liberal government/s, as in the USA, one party the same as the other. Also, as the Murdoch publications fell into line with the US policies of 'here we come, China and Russia', the paid copiers, once journalists, began to do what they were told by omitting the real facts and pushing the Fox/Murdoch line, whatever it was at the time and the news began to dry up. Stories that would have once been a headline for days received a casual mention on day one (naturally, not in the football season) and then into the bin. Russia became an ogre even though the war commenced in 2014 and everyone knew it, including the proxy NATO sycophants, itching for a US approved war by joining the proxy Ukraine. Australia itself itching to be a US proxy, yet again in Taiwan as it was in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Not too soon, please. Our AUKUS submarines aren’t due until 2045. Crews, not yet born.

So one went to the ABC for news, the national broadcaster, only to find that they were giving Julian Assange a bagging as “not a journalist”, and the like, and these posers joined ranks with the news sources used by the commercial hacks, one and all. There were one or two exceptions, of course as there always is, thankfully.

So any climate that is dictated to by the USA such as a compliant little country like Australia with its AUKUS trio of Albanese, Wong and Marles and their political hanger’s on, doing what they are told to do, can stifle the last source of real, truthful news for 25 million people. Done.

Biden, his CIA, FBI and Israeli owned Neocons can relax. We are now conditioned to having joined the media whores from the rest of a world where once we enjoyed a trickle of truth, even that has gone in 2023.

Therefore, we have now conformed……..1) Russia is a nasty aggressor, 2) China is trying to take over the whole world and 3) exceptional America is the saviour of democracy.

Amen, verily, it is true, and let it be so.

It’s not so easy to leave the US. The US government levies a 40% wealth tax on anyone bold enough to renounce their citizenship, and Americans must renounce their citizenship to avoid paying US income tax, no matter the country of their actual residence (the US is the only country to do this ... where citizens are viewed as property of the government, no matter where they live). In my opinion, just about any of the Caribbean nations are better places to live than the US. That is my destination - I’m done with America.

I’m a USMC veteran who once loved my country. For my entire life I’ve been working to educate my fellow Americans about the evils of Socialism, Fascism, the Democrat party, and NeoCon war mongering. However, too many Americans continue to consume and believe the BS propaganda, or even worse ... they “don’t care about politics.” I find it pathetic that most Americans are not concerned about the actions of their government, no matter how repugnant those actions are. The US government understands that as long as Americans are kept fat - they are happy. Not exactly the “sons of liberty” one reads about in US school books.

However, as CITIZENS of a REPUBLIC, Americans ARE responsible for the actions of their government. They SHOULD “give a damn.” Yes, there are still freedom-loving Americans scattered about the US, but not enough, in my opinion.

America has redefined itself as a nation. America is now Babylon, and I fear America is about to get smashed by God’s Hammer of Justice ... for God is a just god.

There was indeed snake oil salesmen in those days but also a lot of innovative treatment occurring, treatments they couldn't cash in on. Relating to this topic though, China was then one of the earliest countries that got their attention, the same attacks natural medicine received in the US, acupuncture and Chinse herbalists then received in China as chemical drug based treatment was pushed as the modern approach. Allopathic drugs are indeed a boon for short term treatments or trauma victims, however a poor approach to chronic conditions as the side effects can be worse than the original problem.
