"The US creates poverty and chaos in other countries and then sounds the alarm over a “migrant crisis” as people flee those conditions it created. It’s like flooding the basement and then crying when the people who live there try to come upstairs."

Having worked with immigrants, I often wondered why they flee to the US when it is the US that has caused the majority of the problems in their country. Often times it's because they have no other choice--the countries surrounding their warzone have also been destroyed by American boycotts and coup d'etats and drug cartels as well. If the US wants the migrations to stop, then it'll need to stop ruining the lives and the countries of its neighbors.

Ukraine won't be like Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya, because this time the US has picked a fight with a peer adversary. The US has shown itself to be unprepared for real war in terms of its productive capacity.

All this talk about attacking China is reckless but also incredibly stupid, because China will react similarly to Russia, and if the US is fighting on two fronts it could get properly beaten, which is something it's never experienced before.

Nikki Haley spouts vitriolic nonsense about China typical of the warped views and tactics of the American political class: create an enemy, foment fear - and splurge billions on the arms industry. One question: WHY is China building up its military? Because the US had been rattling sabres and threatening China since it first perceived it as a threat to its hegemony! Three of the largest overseas U.S. military bases are within 3,000 kms of China.

If any nation poses an existential threat to peace it is the USA - the misery they have perpetrated on countless millions of innocent people since WWII must surpass anything that has happened in the last 3000 years and more: think about the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq (the “war on terror”) and interference in countless instances from the overthrow of Mohammad Mossadegh in Iran to the backing of the Pinochet regime in Chile, the current situation in Venezuela … and on and on! Whenever a foreign government (almost invariably socialist) has set about addressing grave injustices and inequalities the US steps in, covertly or openly - usually to defend its commercial interests in oil, copper, lithium etc.

Talk about an “evil empire”!!!!

“In order for tyrants to claim and retain total power, the people must become ignorant of their own history and roots, and must through propaganda and fear be so terrified as to abandon all logic and responsibility in order to seek a false safety.” Gary D. Barnett

"We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping-jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes." John Swinton, editor of the New York Tribune, in the 1880s

"If you support the persecution of Julian Assange, that means you believe all media everywhere should function as US propaganda organs. You believe all journalists everywhere have a responsibility to help the US empire keep its crimes hidden, and should be punished if they don’t."

Yes, well, we have a few of them in Julian’s country, Australia. Currently under the command of the AUKUS brigade, with our feeble executive politicians dancing to the US tune, every day.

In this country, there is a national broadcaster who had a reputation for honest reporting, tackling the hard stories and being supporters of items of national interest. In the past, populated by one or two foreign affairs journalists, a credit to their profession. No more.

Then along came the Labor/Liberal government/s, as in the USA, one party the same as the other. Also, as the Murdoch publications fell into line with the US policies of 'here we come, China and Russia', the paid copiers, once journalists, began to do what they were told by omitting the real facts and pushing the Fox/Murdoch line, whatever it was at the time and the news began to dry up. Stories that would have once been a headline for days received a casual mention on day one (naturally, not in the football season) and then into the bin. Russia became an ogre even though the war commenced in 2014 and everyone knew it, including the proxy NATO sycophants, itching for a US approved war by joining the proxy Ukraine. Australia itself itching to be a US proxy, yet again in Taiwan as it was in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Not too soon, please. Our AUKUS submarines aren’t due until 2045. Crews, not yet born.

So one went to the ABC for news, the national broadcaster, only to find that they were giving Julian Assange a bagging as “not a journalist”, and the like, and these posers joined ranks with the news sources used by the commercial hacks, one and all. There were one or two exceptions, of course as there always is, thankfully.

So any climate that is dictated to by the USA such as a compliant little country like Australia with its AUKUS trio of Albanese, Wong and Marles and their political hanger’s on, doing what they are told to do, can stifle the last source of real, truthful news for 25 million people. Done.

Biden, his CIA, FBI and Israeli owned Neocons can relax. We are now conditioned to having joined the media whores from the rest of a world where once we enjoyed a trickle of truth, even that has gone in 2023.

Therefore, we have now conformed……..1) Russia is a nasty aggressor, 2) China is trying to take over the whole world and 3) exceptional America is the saviour of democracy.

Amen, verily, it is true, and let it be so.

I noticed the USA is so terrible no one wants to leave but everyone wants to come.

Fancy that....

Lotta bitching about the place but the complainers stay & take the money.

How about ya'll go start a good country you'd like better. You could use the Cuban or Venezuelan governments for models.

It wasn't us independent Patriots who sneaked in, took over media & government. Who sold our soul to the house of Rothschild's Bank of England to plant their 'Federal' Reserve in the US. It was dimms who gave the 'Fed'.

It was dimmocrats & later subverted RINO republicans who have spent us into poverty. Strategy by Cloward & Piven, a book on how to weaken the USA economically & Rules For Radicals were not written by MAGA Patriots, Constitutional Conservatives or USA loving Patriots. They were written by 'progressive' subversives. Most of them were communist, fascist...what have ya...but most all hid in the dimm party.

You can lay 90% or so of our nation's problems on 'progressiveism'.

Margaret Sanger, a DEMOCRAT KKK hob knobber, came up with Planned Parenthood. These super racists put most of the PP clinics near black & minority neighborhoods. Ever hear of her Negro Project?

Who is it that runs & benefits from the Military Industrial Complex & the Medical Industrial Complex? Dimmocrats & RINO republicans.

When did you ever hear Trump say he wanted to take over the planet, "You'll own nothing & be happy!" and that we should eat bugs?

The WEF, UN, NWO & one world government cabal! You NEVER heard any such language from true American patriot MAGA people.

One trick the devil is trying to fool you with is equating those it attacks with what it & it's followers are planning, have done, are dong or will do. It's called projection, per Rules For radicals.

Ya'll can moan & complain, I don't care. Free speech ya know.

But it would be VERY NICE if you would aim at & blame the right people once in a while. After all, you aren't really fooling as many now, yourselves excepted. That's why your knickers are in such a wad...

Americans are rock solid dumbshits of the highest order. They love their 'politicians' no matter how bad they get screwed over by them. These idiots believe 'inflation' is caused by 'workers asking for more money'. The anti china dog whistle is just another long line of racist dog whistles that these knuckle draggers will cackle about while the elites give them the big one up the keister

Next on the agenda will be accusing China of having WMD's, made with the technology we sold them during the Clinton Administration. We sold them the goods so we know they have them. Just like Iraq. A German magazine found 11 US corporations that sold WMD technology to the Iraqis and we had the receipts to prove it! So we accused them of having what we sold them.

You just can't make this schit up!

The West created modern China. Bertrand Russell had experimental schools there before the cultural revolution, and the Rockefellers had massive influence. Even now you can find Dave Rockefeller's NYT op Ed on how much he loved China. The idea that China is the west's enemy is just a Punch and Judy show for the masses. You don't built your enemy up financially with deals like NAFTA, etc.

"people start realizing it was a big mistake"

Actually it was when they ran out of unwanted obsolete weapons they could sell at sky-high prices. I said then that support for the war would "drop like a rock." And it did, right on schedule.

If they still had inventory we'd be hearing that hard lessons had been learned and the coming winter offensive will surely do the trick.

It's all about money. Once you know that then it all becomes predictable.

I could not agree more with you Caitlin. The US and NATO are war mongers and constantly, with the help of the gutless mainstream media lay the ground for more war and destruction. Free Julian Assange.

Someone seriously asked me recently what I thought about the possibility of China invading the US west coast. Likely that person listened to some radio talk show imbecile developing the concept. I found no words to respond.

TL;DR China moved too far up the value chain and got rich enough that it felt that it no longer had to meekly follow orders.
