Thank you Caitlin. You have just spoke out words I truly want to scream to the whole world. I cannot stand people performing their banality every day while Palestinian children are torn to bits or dying under the rubble of monstrous IOF bombing. I cannot sleep at night, how can the world sleep soundly while this is happening, and how can these soldiers sleep after what they have wrought?

Expand full comment

I hear you, Amani. The world sleeps because Jewish people control money (especially the Federal Reserve Bank) and that control buys them politicians throughout the US and EU. They are the pimps and the politicians are their whores. The most obvious and simplest explanations are often the most correct too. The politicians punish and reward their citizens according to how well they bend their knee to Jews.

“Jews”? We are an inclusive community. We believe in universal human rights and human dignity. What you’re saying goes against everything this community stands for.

Then why did you just kill 40,000 innocent women and children in Gaza?

Caitlin thank you for expressing so powerfully what I’m feeling facing this pain. Thank you for giving it voice in our world. Thank you for speaking out so incorruptibly.

Hell, I scream in the profundity of unrelieved frustration every freaking day. Living alone with one soundproofed room gives me unlimited opportunity. I screamed at the clapping seals in Congress, I scream every time I see the well-fed faces of Bibi or Smotrich trying to sound rational as they behave like serpentine vampires; I screamed when I saw that father's stunned face as he displayed his dead daughters' birth certificates. I scream at Kamala, at Trump, at images of my former shitlib acquaintances whose brains have turned to duopoly jelly. Only dispensation is that I've stopped screaming at Biden; even if he could hear me, what remains of his squash would likely process applause. Short-term therapy only: it's all still there when the heartrate decelerates.

Vin, I threw my television out 20+ years ago. I couldn’t take it at 40! As my father used to say, “I’m dropping out of society.” When I was a young girl and a woman, I didn’t understand. He was VERY spiritual.

I understand NOW (and I have for a few years)!

I walk in Nature for miles, daily. Why does Nature understand serenity, peace, co-harmony, and symbiotic relationships, yet some human beings make it a goal to do the opposite?

This is human failure, and soul failure (learning?). Some will not pass. This is an INDIVIDUAL’S responsibility on the physical plane (which is tied into the spiritual plane).

Expand full comment

I wish I had a satisfactory reply. One might be that those symbioses we witness had 3.5 billion years to develop; we've been here for only 200K. Our brains, our biggest asset may also be our greatest liability, yin/yang. Moreover, the "importance of the individual" bias emanating from those brains tends to twist what we see in Nature, taking perfectly mutually beneficial symbiotic interactions (mutualism) and relabelling as parasitism or at best commensalism (neutrality). Some examples out there too convoluted to go into, but here's the easy one: No one saw the bacteria in our gut, 100 years ago, as anything but either parasites, or at best, unavoidable commensals (with our GI tract open to the outside world) feeding on our leftovers. Now, the conservative view is some commensals and a whole bunch of mutualists. The more radical systems view is to treat them as an integrated bacterial microbiome, the entire little complex being a mutualist, another organoid, without which we'd be toast.

After your comment Vin I have to expose myself as a woman at war with my body.....this is actually NO different from what a lot of people are experiencing now BUT on the surface.

For 15yrs ( a colitis sufferer) multiple doctors later I am the exact same person I was in year one of this supposed disease.

Fighting this war with my body is exactly the same as fighting for fairness/accuracy in reporting.

As I have gone on and on with this debilitating disease I can't help equating it with people who have no compassion.

IF I had cancer I would have had compassion.

IF the Zionists had compassion this war would not be going on..

Just like the Palestinians not one Doctor or family members understand.

This is the state of the world.

Who cares? Only the people who have had great injustice done to them in many ways...lack of housing//healthcare etc.

Older people are treated like shit: BUT they have wisdom. These new websites refuse to understand.

I have fought with substack about deaf people and subtitles BUT every new podcast has NO subtitles. I have to wait for a day to see and read.

How is it that AlJazeera has immediate subtitles and a person talking in sign language for those of us who cannot hear?

What I am trying to say in a 'convulated way' is where is compassion?

Expand full comment

You make me want to have a good cry for humanity, Jenny (including of course myself). Did compassion disappear with the hunter-gather/small band phase? Maybe this experiment that homo sap is running is caca from the first Ag seed row planted, 20K yrs ago? It certainly does seem that the more convoluted the societies get -- more communication channels notwithstanding -- the less compassion is detectable. I knew a Black poetess once back in Cambridge Mass who used the word "hubbub" in her poetry; and I think Brenda had it right, the more hubbub, the less compassion. Sadly, I have no solutions.

Expand full comment

Vin, many non-human species: elephants, dolphins, and others, show far more compassion than what we euphemistically call “humanity “.

Expand full comment

Important note. I'd say that the euphemism is the derivation of the word "humane"-- and its reference to compassion -- from the noun "human", Really, what a pisser, eh! Great observation.

Expand full comment

Jenny, yet another thing we have in common: colitis.

And I didn’t get a lot of compassion for having cancer either, because it was “only” breast cancer. I actually got more empathy for my hair falling out from chemo than I did for the cancer itself.

Excellent reply and observation Vin!

I had ovarian cancer three years ago. I firmly believe that the tumor was a parasite. Since then, I’ve read as much as I can on this. I believe there is a homeopathic cure for this thing called cancer! Of course, cancer is BIG BUSINESS, right?

Great comment!

Expand full comment

Thanks. I can tell that you get it, Renee. Having taught immunology for years, I know our immune systems have the capabilities to detect/ destroy our cancer cells. But there are factors in the way we live and treat our bodies that interfere with it. To think that the system would evolve all these terrific mechanisms to deal with external parasites while ignoring the internal is not too logical. Some molecular-level research is uncovering certain "brakes" on the actions of key immune cells, but in this societal atmosphere, I doubt if they'll ever make the jump from those reductionist observations to the broader "why/how are we doing this to ourselves". Instead they tend to think that it's just a defect in the system -- nature screwed up. I gave up on the narrow reductionism of my field a while ago. COVID sealed the deal.

Expand full comment

You are certainly CORRECT Vin! I have taken a very different attitude toward my body, healing…and the medical cartel. Major! There is more sickness, and death FROM doctors (not all). I will never trust a doctor/nurse again, and I may judge them on an individual basis. That’s self preservation in my opinion!

Expand full comment

I guess we could go on with this discussion for a while, Renee, and maybe we should. My estimation of clinical practitioners generally begins with their ability to detach from the medical matrix -- Pharma, CDC, FDA, insurer --- and show me that they're thinking critically and independently. And tough shit that I turn the screws a bit, putting them under pressure because they know that I generally will be able to tell if they don't know the underlying biomedical science. So perhaps that's an advantage, but just like drones to a political party, you can tell, if you're intuitive -- which I'm sure you are -- whether they're independent thinkers or part of the hive. I want nothing to do with hive minds in ANY context. Nice to know you; don't recall chatting previously.

I firmly believe that there is a cure for cancer, but as you said: big business in that field.

Cool, thanks. I'll read it when my brain is less cluttered. But be advised, I care much less about defining some L-R spectrum than I do about the corruption of the basic ethics I learned from my dad, where honesty takes center stage; and as a biologist largely untainted by biomedical greed, I see far more intelligence in the integrated complex adaptive systems of the biosphere than in any sociopolitical system devised by human cognition.

Nature works, agreed. Tooth and claw pretty brutal, though.

The deeper view is that everything exchanges matter and energy with reciprocal regulation much more impressively structured than any human contrivance, with the outcome of the dense nexus of regulatory interactions such that the entire system gains in complexity and therefore resilience. Individuals are less important. This is tough for the modern human ego to swallow, but it is what it is. Perhaps one must get old and decrepit enough to asymptotically approach one's own death to be more at peace with it. I'm in that place, gratefully.

My personal view now is that no UK politician that supports Israel can now claim that their own children have the right to human life.

It's a very simple choice: when you support genocide, as Starmer et al do, Sunak et al did, you abrogate the right to human rights and human life that you so callously took away from Palestinians like this currently grieving man.

When scum like Starmer is locking people up for hurling a few bricks or setting fire to an empty building, yet he gives craven support to the murder of well, well north of 100,000 Palestinians, then you have to ask him one simple question: 'Are you a mentally subnormal cretin or just a base, evil pile of cowardly pro-Zionist scum?'

Only about 20% of the British electorate did. A lot of people didn't vote. And even among those who voted, only 34% voted for him.

At the beginning of the war I was suicidal.

Now I’m homocidal. Given the chance, I would take out every IDF “soldier” I could get my hands on.

"Or….can I say this?" - you can, as long as they know you are harmless in reality. And they do - everything said publicly on forums like this is monitored and saved for future use as necessary, and they definitely checked you out already. IF you go on U-tube a lot and watch Judge Neopolitano you will see experts talking/answering questions.

I watch this Brave Judge who keeps going. Friend of Scott Ritter and many others who are VERY outspoken against the USA and Western countries.

These people know that they are in danger BUT they are speaking out.

What is the US public doing? FUCK all!

Who is your President and who gave the orders to send a SWAT team/FBI to search Scott Ritters house?

The old man is in his bed/rubber stamping whatever comes his way. Doesn't matter that they are US citizens!

If you’re not familiar with Danny Haiphong, please give him a listen as well. He is an American of Vietnamese ancestry who took the surname “Haiphong” after the most-bombed city in Vietnam.
