Everything you are saying, Caitlin, is true. What I find really difficult to understand is that this earth they are destroying, this air and water they are polluting; this is their earth, water and air too. Could they possibly be so idiotic to really think that they can all head off to Mars after they have destroyed this earth? So on top of being terminally greedy, are they also terminally stupid?

The owners don't live in the same world we do. It's ironic, but they live in bubbles of splendid isolation - far removed from the realties of the damages and destruction they cause. I believe they do see themselves as masters of the universe; at most they might acknowledge some adverse effects, but would see them as acceptable and certainly not threatening to them. They are amoral monsters.

Jo Waller's avatar

The 'owners' and Empire managers know all about damage and destruction. They believe that they can use the climate crisis to their advantage because it is affecting the global south worst and first. They are deliberating accelerating climate change (with propaganda and war) for this reason.

They do see themselves as masters of the universe and like the IRA who reputedly enjoyed watching bombs they'd planted years ago explode- this maybe what is happening right now from them; as they watch the extreme weather events and rising temperatures they've encouraged us to create.

Agreed. It is the old saying, Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely. The Rothschilds-Epstein Class want for nothing, so They think They can have or do anything they want... which is why the ever increasing perversion and corruption of the Z10 PEDOE & WORSE Billionaires.

Child & Sex trafficking on a MASSIVE scale- because what is the ultimate Taboo/Evil? The destruction and abuse of the Innocent. How many "Christian Charities to help Children " are just fronts for Their games? The Rothschilds Bankster family who controls ALL WESTERN LEADERS, actually practice incest, and dont hide it, why should They? The Parasite/Predators have no laws or rules, not like the Peasants, and We, the Peasants, do nothing to stop them.

My question is... when will the Peasants who join the Military or Police JOIN WITH THE PEOPLE, and STOP protecting, obeying & abusing People to protect these PEDOES, PARASITES & PREDATORS?

The Rothschilds-Epstein Class is a cancer that needs to be REMOVED before the Body can heal. They don't care that a Global Energy Depression/Crisis is being CREATED BY TRUMP for the Greater Israel Plan, and the Peasants need to hurry up and make it happen for them!

Like we are all doing... obeying like good Sheeple.

WHY?

🚫ALL DATA CENTERS ✌️

Chuck Nasmith's avatar

Abolish the Epstein Class. One State Palestine.

Mary Wildfire's avatar

Is the "block all data centers" a non sequitur from the rest of this post? NO. Stopping the building of ANY more data centers, everywhere, is key. Those data centers and the crypto and AI they enable, are not about solving problems or even making the wealthy corporations behind them richer--they're about a last ditch place for capitalists to move their money as we reach the terminal stage of capitalism, and about setting up surveillance of all of us so we can be controlled--or possibly killed. Also, the data centers themselves are sufficiently destructive locally that they are uniting people past the divisions that have worked so well to keep us from turning our eyes to the real enemy--so they are quickly becoming THE central battle.

Chetzmom4's avatar

The Data Centers in the USA are about SURVEILLANCE... that is the bottom line. In the USA, Our "Leaders" want the people/communities who are opposed to DCs to be labeled "Domestic Terrorists." Really? Whatever happened to Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness? Which means being able to protect the community you live in!

Happy 250 Years, USA! Just throw it all down the Rothschilds-EPSTEIN Class Toilet. Where are the COWARDS in Congress, like AOCIA & Bernie the Butcher? Whining that the Public are meanies to them. So tired of the continuing hypocrisy and the Sheeple who swallow Their SLOPP.

Peace.

Mary Wildfire's avatar

Well AOC and Bernie have submitted a bill to impose a moratorium on data centers. What else do you expect them to do? But I doubt it will go anywhere. We need much more than depending on elected officials to turn things around. I can imagine a dark horse candidate riding this issue to victory, since most people across the political spectrum oppose these data centers--but even if suddenly there were such dark horses everywhere and they all won, the Democrats would ally with the Republicans and the Supreme Court to stop them from making the real change we so desperately need. What this is about is something never discussed in the mainstream or mostly even the alternative media--we've come to the end of the resources that allowed endless economic growth for so long, so now we either have a managed slowdown, which requires an end to wasting resources on militaries and billionaires--or they create enclaves where they continue to live in luxury, hoarding the remaining resources and excluding the rest of us so we struggle for survival in the polluted, degraded, hot world outside their enclaves. If enough of us don't die off to allow climate and other ecological parameters to avoid further decline, they can always arrange for us to die. For thousands of years the ruling class has been able to use trained units of young men from the oppressed class to keep the rest of us in check; now they want to be able to do it with robots in case they can't get enough young men to be so stupid. But they can't deal with climate change and biodiversity loss so easily, and so even if they are largely successful, their own youth may rebel--and perhaps ally with us before it's too latre.

I wonder what the ratio of people is who actually believe that those spoiled and pampered babies swaddled in their loot and groomed by homage actually hold the conviction that those situations are earned and deserved? If it his high, and the determinist philosophy of Einstein has no purchase, then we are fucked, because the peasant will drive his pitchfork into your guts before you can trundle your guillotine up to Musks moat, behind which he stands rotting in all his mortal meat and laughing like the archetype of Satan his court lackeys have so successfully summoned to beguile the hopeful. If I could blow up one major pillar of the collective neural architecture that capitalist parasites exploit to the hilt, it would be the free will boast of the so called self made man, whose immortality component may tragically be somewhere in the biomathematical pipeline...the one thing hardest for the levellers themselves to get at is the grinning ego of the human brain that traps rich and poor alike on the treadmill of aquisitive insanity that only decades of fierce socialist revolution might yet reconfigure, and if you don't think Trump or Musk are the summon bonum of divine devotion to his proudest achievement of facial hair and body odor, what else is there, and if nothing, take care of the guillotine in any case...?

Yes.

Jo Waller's avatar

No, they think they can retreat to their bunkers. The US is in a fairly lucky latitude compared to the global majority. That is why 'they', US based interests in oil, animal ag, pharma, media, finance, tech and arms, are deliberately accelerating climate change (with propaganda its not happening and with war). There will be food and water shortages and attempts at mass migrations (immigrants will obviously just be shot at the border). The US interests hope the crisis will wipe out their rivals in Russia, Iran and China before the whole environment is completely destroyed. They can then re-emerge into unipolarity at some point and wait for reforestation to start sucking down some co2.

White people don't live in cancer corridors, they never have. The wealthy and the political class will always be insulated by their privilege, hence the Democratic party's complete failure and complacence regarding the issue of women's reproductive rights. The lawmakers and the donor class are certainly not going to be inconvenienced in any way by the overturn of Roe, or anything else of that nature. Their kids won't be killed in a school shooting. This is the way oligarchies have existed since the beginning of history.

Nick Heffernan's avatar

‘White’ versus ‘Black’, ‘immigrants’ versus ‘natives’, my ‘identity’ versus your ‘identity’— these are among the phoney wedge issues the oligarchs and empire managers propagate to keep us at one another’s throats while they make out like bandits.

I live in an old city that was divided by income along the North and South side of a river. The North side lived on a bluff above the river, the South side on the plane of the river. I asked people why did the city evolve like that. No one knew unless they had read the local history of the city. During the steam locomotive days, the coal smoke would rise from the engines and blow South coving the South Side of the city with coal dust.

With that came the lower property prices and lower incomes also sicker people. Peoples eyes would widen and then instantly view the city from both sides of the river seeing down on the South side from the position of the wealthy.

I just got back from a two week trip to China. I was last in China in 1989. The progress China has made is staggering, and Nanjing compares favourably to anywhere I have visited in the USA or the EU. Nothing and nobody will convince me to be afraid of China. Envious, yes. Afraid, no.

I did suffer an unfortunate bout of food poisoning (Salmonellosis; could have happened anywhere). A day in a hospital in Nanjing, including 4 hours of IV fluids and a prescription for top-shelf antibiotics, cost me about US$70 all up.

In 1905 John Dewey said: "Politics is the shadow cast upon society by big business."

Politics is the art of creating fictitious narratives designed to lead society to the conclusions which cede to the ruling class everything it wants.

Patrick Powers's avatar

It isn't always that way.

Fear is such a terrible thing to be controlled by.

When we can see that the monsters are made up by the ruling class to detract from what they do, we are so much more powerful than when we cower in fear of their made up monsters.

I think what's even more unhelpful is that we're made to the think we are fearlessly standing up to the monsters- but what we're actually doing is what the real monsters want.

Ant7's avatar

💯 and the current batch of empire managers have turned it into an art form!

Davina's avatar

That's an insult to art. They've turned into a wealth creation for the few, it was never meant to be a career where bribes are always there so the rich can get richer.

Parliament once meant the wealthy paid into it whenever something needed done, they didn't get paid except by favour of the king/queen such as a mansion, or land etc. We should go back to that then watch the rats desert the ship.

The Revolution Continues's avatar

"The empire managers make up fake problems to solve because the empire is the source of all the real problems."

Bingo! It's so obvious that the solution to all our REAL problems is to dismantle the empire and lock up its managers. Time for revolution, folks!

dale ruff's avatar

Well-named evils that for the beneficiaries of capitalism are not problems but solutions: war is a profitable business. Homelessness keeps wages depressed, etc.

The deepest inner contradiction of capitalism is that it sees problems for humanity and the ecosystem we depend on as opportunities to make more money. A forest that protects wildlife and sequesters carbon has value only when cut down. The solution for the capitalist is thus intrinsically linked with creating a problem, all of which can be summed up with the equation that a system based on and motivated by perpetual growth in a finite world is bound to fuck things up badly, while those who profit from it hide behind security guards and locked gates, fantasizing of escaping to Mars when the shit hits the fan.

It is precisely at the apex of this contradiction that the movement to change it, to reclaim our evolutionary legacy of cooperation and shareing, arises and whether it succeeds or not depends on what we the people do: we can denounce it as "controlled opposition" or claim it is just "reformism" or just heckle from the sidelines, boosting our virtue in a situation of impotence.............or we can lend a hand. The people united can never be defeated (that is a historical fact) so our chief mission today is to find ways to unite, which means, by definition, uniting with those we once dismissed, ignored, or fought against. So lend a hand or get out of the way, for the times, they are a changin... and while it takes moral outrage to fight, there is in finding others who fight with you and inexpressible joy.

martin's avatar

indeed, unite behind an explicitly anti-capitalist banner. do not sweet talk your intentions. confirm that those who try to and have to work for a living have nothing to fear. confirm that the worker's 'monster' will eliminate the capitalist monster.

dale ruff's avatar

Marx himself said that working within the system, using its laws and elections, to put the working class in power, could advance the revolution without violence. For the left to gain power, it must work with the Democratic Party and gradually take it over and transform it into the voice of the working class. Purist ideology not only violates what Marx foresaw but guarantees impotence. I would refrain from using ideology as the unifying feature for it will only intensify division; as Mamdani has done in New York, lead with programs, actual programs to help the working class, which is very popular without creating an ideological obstacle to action. And while the majority of Democrats now prefer socialism, the total population does not so win them over with successful programs both to earn trust and to show that socialism is the path forward.

Feral Finster's avatar

Where did Marx say that?

Rodolfo Marusi Guareschi's avatar

Imperialism is an inevitable phase of capitalism, which, whether private or state-owned, is always based on lies, deception, violence, exploitation of labor, theft, and/or robbery. And its fundamental means are money and the state.

Patrick Powers's avatar

I wonder how long this madness can continue. Mamdani's wins give me hope but I dunno that this can spread to the heartland. There are so many propagandized zombies.

More likely are widespread protests after a blatantly rigged election followed by mass incarceration in highly profitable concentration camps. Or perhaps numerous shootings and deaths.

It is consumerism encouraged by US based oil, animal ag, pharma, media and arms that already watches and controls us.

Davina's avatar

It is so crazy using immigrants as their fall guys. Most countries in the world have been invaded and taken over by the invader under the pretext of an empty land though, in fact fully inhabited just not over-built and dug up everything thst could be dug up. America definitely, only 250 years old, filled to the brim with immigrants, including the wife of the president. Australia, much the same age, is currently over filling with immigrants, while companies dig up anything worth more than ten cents, but do not pay for the privilage towards the Australian economy, but are disappearing arable land, of which there wasn't that much to start with.

Do any of them care that they are killing the land, and

the artesian water used in their mining, and growing cotton (in Australia, for goodness sake!). It's all about how much money can the milk fron each country with no care about the mess they leave behind.

I'm not putting down immigrants, it's the big corporations' greed that makes too many people needing homes, food, shelter when the arable and grazing lands are almost gone.
