Jesus.... and yup. Thank you for sharing your poetic rage! We have the rage and lack the poetry.

Your poem expresses why I feel like staying home 24/7 and keeping out of the way of humanity. But that's the coward's way out. We have to keep fighting to save our planet and its people, even if it drives us crazy sometimes.

It's also possible we are death, the destroyers of worlds..

An anomaly,,,the cancer that kills the host. And thus also dies.

Or as a friend once said...black holes are simply burned out civilisations, much like our own.

Bad ass. Many bangers in this one.

Part of me still desires a happy ending to this poem, or an echo of the way out appearing in the conclusion. That being said, it appears earlier in the poem:

"stomping down with all our might that small voice which calls out to us."

The Brave New World is designed to drown out that deeper voice, getting us to forget what has been there all along. That's all their game is. That's all they have.

All we have to do is remember.

This, this right here is always on my mind. "where everything breaks after 18 months but takes millions of years to decompose"

We can't keep being so obtuse.and spoiled while living on a finite planet.

Until enough of us rise up, it's all corporate nation-state balls to the wall. I have trouble placing much blame on our uneducated sisters and brothers. Generations of abuse and misinformation clearly take a toll...

Just work harder and think positively, then you'll realize the American dream! - that's exactly, almost verbatim, what NPR told me this morning, from there mouth of a black Nigerian immigrant at "storied" Vanderbilt University. And then they moved on to the NYC subway killing of the homeless man, where of course them included the Mayor's demand to just stop protesting and support of law enforcement.
