I'm not sure I've ever believed the Israeli government (or the US government), especially since 911. Even before, when I discovered what the Israeli government did to the sailors on the USS Liberty in 1967. What they did to Rachel Corrie showed their true character, savages.
Sickening. Not sure what can be done to stop this. UN seems completely dysfunctional and the USA vetoes everything. Other than the Houthis, nobody has the backbone to actually stand up to this.
Lies like Palestine was a country "without a people for a people without a country"; Palestine was "undeveloped"; Palestine was empty, then "settled" by Arab Muslim hordes who emerged from Arabia (vs conversion to Islam after the region was conquered by Arab Muslims in the 8th Century); the Zionists repeatedly offered peace plans in 1947/48, 1967, etc., mostly outright fabrications in that others put forth plans which invariably short-changed the indigenous Palestinians by blocking true national sovereignty AND leaving Jewish settlers in place and constantly expanding. Think the "settling of the West" in US history.
The one silver lining in the current bloody tragedy is that the true face of Colonizer Israel is on display in its manifold raw public declarations and deliberate military actions to exterminate Gaza as a viable society and ultimately ethnicly-cleanse the West Bank of its indigenous population which it has repressed for over 50 years.
The truth is finally emerging to the world in the ashes, in the rubble, and on the bodies of 20,000 Palestinians and counting. The truth is written in the blood of 10,000 Gazan children.

here must be a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, not with Palestinians suffering under oppressive conditions, but as a place where all live with peace and equality. It is time for Pope Francis to do more than talk. He must go to Gaza and make a stand for peace and freedom.

Most of mainstream media in the US relies heavily on official and quasi-official Israeli sources for their reporting on the Gaza campaign. This is irresponsible journalism ... except in the sense of the editors being responsible to the State Department’s preferred take.
At this point, we have to assume that all governments and institutions are lying.
