let's not let them forget about their inhumane and unjust treatement of Julian Assange, how they have blamed him for exposing their atrocities; how they blamed Edward Snowden for exposing them. How they never accept responsibility for the atrocities that have been exposed. How they continue to commit atrocities by sending weapons to a country that has been found by the ICC to be committing genocide.

sometimes what pisses me off the most is that we are expected to just sit here like good little collaborators while the rich and powerful commit whatever atrocities they want in order to remain where they are.

Don't let the weight of it get to you too much. We each do what we can, and have our own personal moral obligations we decide we can do. But you are not responsible for the entire world and everybody in it. We're not Gods. I find balance in my life is important, so I can actually live it.

I don't really feel responsible for the entire world. For me, my anger is what gets me moving sometimes.

The Grayzone also reported on this guy in late March.

"Andrés’ organization, World Central Kitchen, has already finished constructing its own jetty, which was made from the rubble heaps in Gaza — a decision that virtually guaranteed the building materials contain the remains of humans killed by Israeli bombing."

The words coming out of Biden's and Blinken's mouths make me sick to my stomach. I know they are so amoral and so imbedded in their positions in life that it should be expected of them. I agree they are unsavable and not worth our time trying to save. However, the liberals, the soft left, and the progressives will fall into the trap of once again telling us it's better to choose the lesser of two evils. There are probably 100,00 Palestinians murdered, 10,000s injured and maimed, untold suffering by the survivours (assuming there will be any), all of their infrastructure and culture wiped out. In this case, there is no "lesser" of two evils. There is just unimaginable and unacceptable evil.

Like there actually is something morally worse than supporting a genocide. Incredible! The moral vacuity on display makes my brain hurt.

Shitlibs are finally speaking out against Biden and his sending weapons to Israel after the kitchen massacre, but everyone out of 600 comments still says that they are voting for Biden in the general. If you’re fed up with genocide then how in the hell can you vote for the guy who is supporting it?

But…."Trump will be even worse."

Dummies. By the time Trump is sworn into office all the Palestinians will be dead. How can he be worse?

It takes many hands to create Genocide.

For Netanyahu to LIHOP on Oct 7th it took many insiders.

It requires the Mockingbird media to obscure the truth after the fact, just like we have witnessed with September 11th, the attempted sinking of the USS Liberty, the false pretexts for the invasion of Iraq (2003), the JFK assassination...

Wouldn’t be surprised if this turn of narrative is directed by AIPAC (a.k.a. Hasbara) as their idiotic tropes of yesteryear (self defence, human shields, antisemitism) are being rubbished. Also, I propose the U.S. adopts a new name/identity change: The United Sates of Israel (USI). Let’s all start using the right terminology.. final thing, everyone should watch documentary about what happened to USS Liberty. An integral part of folks’ education on this topic.

Nikster's avatar

I heard the stories from the folks on the USS Liberty and they never got any confirmation or any apologies for Israel or reparations for injuries. We are never surprised to see Israel act abominably! They are simply expansionist state. Never underestimate their power! The went after Iraq with old man Bush! Unless AIPAC is forced to be registered as a foreign agent, we will have a political nightmare in-the US.

Well, if they (ZIONISTS) lead the show in the US, chances are they will never be registered as a foreign agent. America is Zionist at heat and in action.. it should be called the United States of Zion..

I wonder if a literal televised genocide has been enough to wake more Americans up to the fact that both political parties are profoundly corrupt and immoral?? And the political system has been compromised beyond legitimacy?

It wasn’t naziism, eugenics and state sponsored racism in the US and Europe both domestically and in imperialist colonial brutality but only Hitler’s fault. Nevermind the US repatriated most high level Nazis and still treated black people and other non-white people to a lesser extent like less-than-human—the US saved the world! Not—they never addressed the Jews, Roma etc after Hitler but used Nazi atrocities to justify more atrocities.

Yes indeed and the US(and Britain) saved the whole world for humanity from the Nazis all by themselves with no help from the Russians. NOT!!!!🤣😂 Really pathetic that US and Britain took most of the credit for defeating the Nazis.🥲

And, like Bernie for example, they are going to campaign and fundraise on "opposing" genocide. Just another usefully divisive campaign issue.

Once again the democratic party is going to trot out improved healthcare for all Americans. Biden will say and do anything to get himself re-elected. And Bernie Sanders the huge cuck will be kissing his ass the entire time. Don't fall for it. Don't fall for the pre-election pack of lies. There can be no excuse for the genocide we have all just witnessed, and there is no excuse for a political party that allowed this genocide to happen - no promise can be believed to justify its continued immoral existence.

As I have said - to the Dems, EVERYTHING except power and money for themselves is merely a usefully divisive fund-raising and votes issue. Everything. Why fix anything for the peasants when they can just campaign on things. I have gotten two emails so far, asking me to stand with Bernie and contribute. Nope. I am not saying the GOP is any better, just saying there is no lesser evil there. And no, I do not believe health care or Social Security will be enhanced in any way.

An effective counter to Empire cooption would be to present these facts:

1. Ashkenazi Jews are 50% European genetically, while Palestinians are genetically very similar to Bronze Age inhabitants of Palestine.

2. When the Zionist movement arose in the late 19th century, Jews made up only 10% of the population of Ottoman-controlled Palestine. There was massive immigration of Jews from Europe and America to Palestine in the 20th century.

3. The so-called Israeli war of independence was in fact a genocidal ethnic cleansing operation to force 750,000 native Palestinians out of their cities, towns, and villages in order to seize their land and houses.

4. Beginning in 1956, Israel attacked the neighboring countries at least five times. In 1967, it attacked and attempted to sink the U.S.S. Liberty which was gathering electronic intelligence on Israel's surprise attack on Egypt's air bases.

5. Israel does extensive research and development on methods of controlling a subordinate population, and also exports that technology to other countries which might wish to control the non-elite majority of their populations.

6. If you haven't by this point scared off the person to whom you are talking, then cite some passages from the Old Testament that show a supremacist ideology.

Thanks, Caitlin! You are way ahead of the curve, as usual. Few readers of your site will be drawn in by the damage control efforts of the mainstream presstitutes, but you are absolutely correct that an attempt will be made to signal a virtue that the legacy press never had, to make it appear that they are the vanguard of humanitarianism, that NOW, after 75 years of racist, supremacist policies, the Israelis have gone TOO FAR in their response to another provocation. As if most Israelis are not racist and don't back Netanyahu to the hilt. It is the right wing government which is at fault, not the underlying assumptions of a racist, settler-colonial state which has never hidden its true agenda. One can see the shift in the narrative so clearly. No attempt will be made to question the fundamental pathology of the status quo, the fatal assumptions that underlie the prima facie unsustainable nature of Israel-in-Palestine as an ethno-religious enterprise with no rights for anyone not in the tribe. It is becoming crystal clear that what has gone before cannot continue. There is no return to a "normal" that doesn't work for millions of human beings. Until this reality is acknowledged there will be little or no change in the manufactured narrative. I'm reminded of the old saying, "That which can't continue, won't." We can postpone but not stop the karma package that's coming.
