I think of all those who got their journalism degrees, saw that they would be used for pumping out sludge, and said, "Fine." Thanks for becoming Caitlin Johnstone instead.
Happy Birthday, Caitlin. You remind me, I should get cracking and write out my own "who I am" now that I am looking at getting more serious about my own blogging project. Trouble is, I think "who I am" will scare a lot of people.
Thanks for your beacon. As one of my Muses, your words reflect and elevate my thoughts. I love the notion of our species getting it together to the point where what you’re compelled to do now will seem unnecessary. Meantime, keep on keeping on because we’re nowhere close…
I want to ask about the "we" being discussed here.
The survival of humanity doesn't depend on the survival of every individual member of humanity (every human). The cancer that is destroying humanity needs to be removed from its body. Yet, it is that cancer that controls and directs humanity's everyday actions.
It appears that consciousness and dysfunction -can- coexist when individuals fail to take action to destroy the cancer and especially when the cancer actively pollutes the consciousness of members of humanity. The "rebels" of Jan 6 are conscious and taking action -- which then begs the question about how consciousness is defined and by whom.
You guys do a good (essential) job and I appreciate it, I look forward to it, and while I don't always agree in principle, you appear honest and consistent - sucks that that is refreshing, but it is, thank you.
While I am on the opposite side of the aisle from you economically, I gratefully read you because of your honest evaluation of the current media propaganda machine - the mouthpiece of the current machine of control.
Caitlin - your efforts are appreciated. I hope you folks in Australia can keep your shit together for the sake of all us I hope what they are trying to do turns out to be a failed experiment. It will depend upon those of you "Down Under" to stand your ground.
One of the psychological obstacles to 'awakening' or 'rising up' in numbers, is the Boy-Who-Cried-Wolf syndrome. We've been using exactly these phrases for decades, and we're still here.
We are in danger of extinction, agreed. But we can't the same vocabulary to have any more impact now, than before.
If you don't know yet that out of control nuclear fission is impossible, you haven't really made it to the edge of the narrative. Chernobyl is as fake as Fukushima is as fake as Hiroshima, etc, etc. Read Miles Mathis. Happy birthday.
I've really enjoyed reading your work this past year, "Caitlins". I just wish I was as savvy as you marketing my free writings. TheRevolutionContinues.com could use a few devout patrons and readers.
Voluntary contribution (crowdfund) or purchase of a service, both are comprtitive capitalism. If there is no choice (DMV) or if you are forced to pay (tax), those are not capitalism. For Tim Foley to discuss with you.

Many Years+ to you, Caitlin!

A gigantic thank you. I love all you are doing.
Thanks for the manifesto. I took screenshots to share when people ask me why I like that crazy Australian writer so much.

Go girl go.

Well, I've gone far enough down this rabbit hole.
Happy Birthday, Caitlin!

Happy Holidays to you and your kin.
Peace is easy when we work together.

Thank you, Caitlin, for your clarity and honesty, and for sharing your insights.

We're on a similar wavelength. I've been putting together a fresh narrative in my blog, focusing on the climate crisis. I'll do something later on the nuclear situation as I thing a different dynamic is at play here. https://shadowlightblog.substack.com/p/real-world-solutions-for-the-climate
