I was truly impressed by the erudition and quality of Butch Ware's arguments -- compare this quality gentleman with the VP mediocrities Walz (D) and Vance (R) and it tells you what you need to know about the duopoly. They give us the cream of the crap every four years, then find the emptiest of arguments proffered by the emptiest suits (AOC) to criticize folks of genuine substance like Stein and Ware.

True it happens. Many or even most honest politicians get corrupted.

But in the case of AOC it was a setup from the start. The Dems had a Dems establishment politician in that constituency who strategically laid down and let her pretend to be on a socialist wave. It was sheepdogging, to suck away the people who would otherwise have shunned the Dems and worked harder to build and actual left party with the Greens.

You need to understand that the Dems do a lot of this: they handpick young minorities who they are sure will obey orders, then put them in the minor leagues as "community organisers" (with murky funding) to gain credibility in the streets. Then the start pushing them up the ranks in elections. See Corey Booker, and Obama for examples of this model.

I fell for it. The fact that she fought Pelosi like mad at first made me like her. Then Pelosi painted a target on the squads backs for the Republicans made me think they were actually pushing. I guess they just took her inside and bought her, IDK.

I wrote the Justice Democrats today, specifically AOC and told her I was ashamed I ever trusted her and that all she is is a political hack and doesn't care about her constituents or justice.

I continued by telling the rest of the Group that they should distance themselves from her and regain their integrity and embrace the promise they made to fight for justice and not just in the US, but in Palestine, Ukraine, Yemen, Sudan and all countries suffering from US sanctions and interference and bombing.

I know that won't do anything, but I felt better. I don't like being played and the Dems haven't tricked me for years, but AOC did.

The Democrats (and liberals) think they are the party of the "left". They virtue signal and display fake bouts of morality (the Republicans do this too, though in different ways). Unfortunately, few liberals know what "left" means. We have two right-wing parties in the US - the Dems and Repubs, and NO left-wing party strong enough to challenge them. This is by design - as Caitlin says, the system is designed this way so as to keep POWER in hands of the Power Elite, Empire Managers, Oligarchs and maintain the status quo.

AOC's condemnation of Stein completely ignores the insurmountable obstacles deliberately erected by both democrats and republicans to prevent alternative political parties from gaining any traction whatsoever. AOC conveniently neglects to mention that, unlike third-party candidates, neither democrat nor republican candidates are required to pass a signature threshold just to get on the ballot. Democrat criticism of Jill Stein is like white people in the 1900's blaming black people for their lack of worldly success.

"How much of a “win” are you even capable of in such a system if you actually care about making the world a better place?"

The answer is it's not a "win" if you don't make the world a better place. Padding your own bank account (like Nancy Pelosi and her gangs do in Congress) doesn't count as a "win." Not providing universal health care, free education through college, adequate housing, etc., is not "winning" by a long shot.

And AOC and the rest of the Dems have got their knickers in a twist because a recent CAIR survey among Muslim voters shows Jill Stein ahead of Harris 40% to 12% in Michigan. Jill is also leading Harris with Muslim voters in Wisconsin and Arizona. And there are other trends showing the Dems are fading fast. Supporting a candidate who enables a genocide of innocents isn't much of a draw to all American voters after all, thank heaven.

The Blob won't let her win. It doesn't matter to them how it's done, but she won't be allowed to win.

The BIG THING they are afraid of is the Nation Hearing her and wanting her. The OVERTON WINDOW is at play here, as it was when twice it looked like Bernie would win. We all know he wouldn't have been allowed to change anything, but the OVERTIME WINDOW was in play. That is ALL important at a time when there is a plan to take away our hopes and dreams of something better, of representative government, of no more wars, of being able to eat, have a roof over our heads or even getting our teeth repaired.

Just think a fixed tooth can cost as much as $5,000 and most of, if not all of that, comes out of pocket. My husband and I have forgone most of our teeth repairs (only getting those ones fixed that could infect us) because insurance doesn't cover 'cosmetic', even if not repairing it leads to an infection that can go systematic.

Did she think no one knew about this or is she simply caught up in the substance-free, surreal political landscape we have, where someone like Kamala Harris can be the darling of the intelligentsia while appearing to know less about policy than I do, what with my YouTube education?
