People have called me cynical many time when I tell them that your vote changes nothing and that your representative doesn't care about you opinion in any way.

They become more incredulous when I tell them the politicians are truly friends with each other and put on an act in front of the cameras for the media and the public.

I have attended parties in the backroom of the Mayflower where both sides of the isle were there with a bunch of lobbyists, everyone had a great time, the entertainment didn't care which party you belong too, the bartender didn't care who you follow. I met Bill Clinton during a retirement party for a general in that room.

The corruption is truly rampant in the second and third tier players in D.C. Yes your congress critter is corrupt but has already arrived, the hungry critters chasing the next opportunity are the truly immoral corrupt ones that will do anything. This leads to a ground swell of pressure from the wanna be masses to make deals that are compromised.

Of course anyone remotely connected to the white house is corrupt, I certainly saw the eagerness in Kamala to become empress when Biden's frailty became obvious. I found her gleeful pursuit of replacing him to be tragic and low class but its to be expected from a group of swamp rats.

Publicly visible deals and projects are the most favored among the the top dogs but directly profitable information, tips and deals are the most favored by the second and third tier players. Staffers care about getting the Pelosi stock tip more than fixing any social ill.

The highest level most visible players care about pretending to serve the people - like the ACA that was played as a social issue under Obama turns out to be nothing more than another scam impoverishing the people and helping no one but the lobbyists and their clients.

Suffice to say the entirety of US politics is political theater designed to give the impression that the citizen have some say in their government, they do not.

and if you think I am exaggerating...

Thank you Caitlin.

One thought I came up with is: ask your congress person if they have been to Palestine, if not why not considering you invited a butcher to speak in font of congress congress?

Secondly. Did you clap Netanyahu on the back or roar with pleasure at his speech. IF so then I am sorry but I cannot vote for you.

Accountability is important.
