Average American cop is largely interested in his or her overtime income. Using cognitive reasoning and evidence to draw reasonable inferences? Not so much, by and large.

The cop had no intelligence to use and critical thinking is a foreign concept. The arrests — at some point — will not even be explained to the person accused so using your cell phone locator to prove you were somewhere else won’t be an option.

I agree Vin. Except for my son who has been applying to police depaerments. But I'm a bit biased. 😁

Thanks as always, Caitlin! This is but another example how effectively the ruling class uses the boiling frog method.

I think the "frogs" are hopping out of the pot. The number of pro-DeFlocking comments on a local story about four Flock cameras going "missing" is astronomical... Nobody wants them or wants their tax dollars going to a private company to do warrantless searches.

Flock cameras aren't meant to catch criminals, they're meant to prevent revolution. That's why they come down so hard on what's little more than a basic vandalism case when one gets hit. They need to scare you into compliance.

It's not working so far... The oligarchs might have made a fatal mistake with the Flocks and AI data centers. It's uniting the 99% against them.

John Cosmo's avatar

I'd like to think so, but so far an awful lot of the 99% are NOT connecting the dots between the flocks and AI data centers.

Maybe, maybe not..... And yet both are multiplying nonstop. :/

🎯 Great comment! Yes!!

The ruse is to cut down on crime, speeding, etc ..... WE the people are the target

I hope for all our sakes you are correct. At any rate, I'm delighted to see the level of pushback!

I believe the ruling classes overshot with this one, a sign of desperation perhaps as the globe-spanning US empire is becoming increasingly unstable and domestic popular unrest likely.

yes, it's definitely an issue bridging divides among the plebs

CARTOON: Flock Cameras Herding American Sheeple To BLAH-BLAH Obedience ... One of the darkest of the rights-shredding fascists is Garrett Langley, founder and CEO of Flock Safety, a rapidly spreading network of automatic traffic monitoring cameras which not only record the license plate of passing vehicles but logs the make, model and color of the vehicle, whether there are accessories like bike racks or trailer hitches, any dents or scratches, tags or … political bumper stickers or window decals.

Love how, beyond the wildest of fiction, Garrett has the same last name as the town hosting CIA headquarters! No editor would let that one fly. ... https://mark192.substack.com/p/cartoon-flock-cameras-herding-american

Even worse: the video data could be easily manipulated to frame someone by a Police State. And don't think they wouldn't do it. Ever heard of Seth Rich?

I encourage people to use AI in areas they know something about already so they can see how trivial it is to get AI to confidently proclaim 1+1 definitely equals 3.

"Police let AI tech do their job for them instead of using their own brains to rule out the suspect."

Well, that's assuming that all cops actually HAVE a brain to begin with--there is some doubt with more than a few! It's really disgusting how these Flock cameras and the like are being used as a substitute for law enforcement and then the "live" cops use them to deny people their civil rights.

Halloween is going to be verrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy interesting this year in the US. A lot of "tricking" and treating the public to camera-free towns!

I'm afraid it's hopeless, ya'll.
