Already they are publicly setting expectations that Hamas cannot or will not meet. They know that with a subservient press very few people will know what the agreement says. And those who are willing to speak the truth will not be given any air time.
As Chris Hedges recently pointed out, the Israelis always lay out a multi-phase “peace process” and never get past phase two before they upend the “agreement”.
Let’s face it: this “ceasefire” is just a brief breather to let international opposition cool off while Israel prepares for another round of slaughter. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either delusional or incredibly naive.

The United States/Israel pairing has always deceived both its own people and the people of many other countries. They are like the scorpion that stings the frog. Aesop's fable, "The Frog and the Scorpion," tells of a scorpion who asks a frog to carry him on his back across a river. Despite the frog's initial fears, the scorpion convinces her by arguing that if he stung her, he too would drown, since he couldn't swim. Halfway across the river, however, the scorpion stings her anyway, and when asked why, he replies, "It's my nature!" The fable teaches that one cannot change one's nature, even with the best intentions.

For a few more years, the US will have absolute power over other people and we will use that power in an absolutely corrupt way at the behest of our overlords in Riyadh and Jerusalem. When retribution finally comes our way, no one will shed a tear for us.

It's all there as part of the grand plan with enough wealthy Zionists in the USA to ensure that the political class remain elected (the political dollars will cover that part) as participants in the well structured and pressure-making ADL and AIPC organisations, the current effective controllers of the USA.

I suggest reading "A People's History of the United States' (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/27238496-a-people-s-history-of-the-united-states) and check out some titles in Thom Hartmann's Hidden History series (https://www.overdrive.com/series/thom-hartmann-hidden-history) or "The Founding Fathers: Myths and Reality" (https://www.historyonthenet.com/founding-fathers).
Well, Chang. One would have to admire your values and the knowledge of history you display in your writings. I certainly do. Accurate too, I'll warrant.
In my comment, you have identified errors, and rightly so because there have been thousands of USA errors during this period, none of which need identifying here. But just count up the number of wars, indigenous slaughters, racial pogroms, the Ikes of which may have never been seen before, anywhere (this is probably not accurate either, Chang but it makes a point.)
Now one cannot categorise these in relation to their relative importance and their impact on the communities existing at the time but all would almost pale into insignificance when compared to the fact that we now have a country like the USA, population 343 million, now totally controlled in policy and direction by a little state called Israel, a strange religious sect tucked away in the Middle East, a state of just 9 million.
Now they have introduced so many practices that were never part of the original plans as written by the Foundling Fathers of that once good country. They didn't agree with the purchasing of politicians by bribery and corruption, ending up with a country with 86% of its politicians acting on behalf of a third party like Israel.
They could never have envisaged an uneducated buffoon sitting in The White House like a God, pontificating on all things but knowing little, bringing military personnel by the thousands into cities to kill off any indication of speech to which he did not agree.
