They're doing their best to distract us. Here in Australia, Anti-Israeli graffiti is now an act of terrorism.

I can remember when terrorists had bombs and we had free speech.

Now we no longer have free speech and it's our governments and their allies wielding bombs.

As you would know, David, Australia, after Israel, being the US's favourite #1 bumboy, just paid $798 MILLION to Trump ( a tiny deposit on a $360 BILLION total price) to be able to play along with the 'destined-to-fail-AUKUS' program for some nuclear submarines, expected to hopefully hit the water in 2042, but subject to the whims of 4 more US Presidents before delivery day.

I mean, Trump will not be around for the opening show, of course, but many billions of Australia's dollars will be safely tucked away in the pockets of his friends by then, providing of course that the US Empire itself is still around. (Unlikely)

That's the interesting part of being an Empire. Your lifespan is very limited when you take partners such as Israel and dance to their dirty ethic cleansing tunes, steal countries like Canada and Greenland, take over major transport hubs like Panama by force, declare war on the likes of Venezuela just for oil and gas, build tourists extravaganzas like Gaza Holiday Resort with the Gaza Country Club and Gaza Beach Hotel (Jews only, of course) and continue to prop up the European Military Club called NATO, formed to do its bidding in the wars against everybody, far too many to mention.

However, fingers crossed, there is a slim chance that they could end up with a President in 2029 or 2033 or 2037 or 2041 who is not a nihilist but a sane, decent and honourable man, not bribed with foreign money nor controlled by Military / Industrialists, Bankers from the Davos Club and the like, who thinks that health, education, social security, world peace and friendship are much more important objectives. Just a chance.

Good luck with that one, America.

I absolutely HATE, DETEST, LOATHE, ...etc. the US Empire. I may be naive, but I believe the world will be a BETTER place WITHOUT the existence of this Empire. Now on to the REAL question -> WHO (and HOW) will someone/something rid the world of this monstrosity and incarnate evil that is the US Empire ???

Vin LoPresti's avatar

I'm a bit puzzled, gypsy. The first 3 or 4 released Zionutty women were well-fed and looked like Hamas had done their best to divert resources to them -- I'd speculate as a PR win. Let's face it, these guys are fully aware of the need to counter the PR war against them. I surmise that as Israhell released the first bunch of emaciated abused Palestinian hostages, Hamas responded in kind in terms of ceasing to waste resources and just fed the remaining hostages the same paltry calories available to most folks in Gaza. Again, just a speculation.

Joy in HK's avatar

My guess was that all hostages are not kept together in the same location with the same access to food, water and hygiene. It would then stand to reason that some will be in better condition than others due to the different logistics issues in those different locations. I have also heard that different groups have held different hostages. Hamas may have been the coordinators of the release, but it could be they were not the actual captors, which could also make a difference in the treatment and condition. This of course, would not be of any meaning or interest to those wanting any excuse to resume the fighting. But given the failure the last round of 15 months brought them, it's not clear how they will do much better in the next round.

Expand full comment
Vin LoPresti's avatar

A reasonable guess, and if the "next round" includes another shutdown of humanitarian aid as I fear it will, the horror will continue, which in itself is both mind boggling and terribly sickening at this point. Where have all the flowers gone When will they ever learn.

Expand full comment
gypsy33's avatar

That’s a good theory, Vin. I had considered this myself.

But I really suspect the women receive better care BECAUSE they were women. Muslims honor and protect them.

One of the previously released female hostages had this to say when she expressed fear that Israhelli bombs would kill them:

She said she was told “Women are queens. We will die before we allow you to die”.

The last three female hostages released were fit and healthy, came out speaking Arabic, and talked about arm-wrestling matches with their captors!

Yes, I recall that report and in that light, your explanation sounds completely reasonable, especially in the way it contrasts the social customs of the two societies -- the chosen ones who kill and injure indiscriminately and the oppressed ones who are far more careful to distinguish combatants from POWs. Illustrating exactly who is or isn't truly civilized (hint: it surely isn't the Zionazis).

Caitlin, It is not that the Gaza ceasefire is being sabotaged - there was never a ceasefire in the first place. While so many ceasefires were being touted and the media propaganda went into overdrive, the Israeli regime and its backers did what they know best. Went on bombing, destroying, pillaging ,killing and starving. Do we have any reason to believe that the most depraved of humanity will keep their word?

What happened to the ceasefire in Lebanon I wonder... They got a puppet government in place and made a liberation movement irrelevant.

In the first place a ceasefire is between equals.Israel has all the firepower needed to annihilate humanity and lay waste to lands; Hamas has no army, no bombs, nothing; Israel has the backing of the powerful US/West; and a propaganda machine that will make the most outrageous of lies look plausible. The Palestinians don't even have the support of the so called Muslim brotherhood. The Arab Nations didn't lift a finger to help the Gazans.

So the talk of ceasefires is just a conjuring trick. Surely we are all aware of that by now. Today the emperor gave an ultimatum - " ... if by Saturday 12 noon , if all the hostages are not released, all hell will break loose...".

Kushner reportedly penned the note card that Trump read the "own Gaza" plan from.

This short video compares Jared Kushner to Hunter Biden. Jared Kushner heads a $3.5 billion investment firm, Affinity Partners, invested in by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE, with the intent to invest Arab nations in Israel, and a stated interest in developing Gaza commercially, rather than in the interests of Palestinians.

This could reflect the note passed to Trump, reportedly from Kushner, about the America-owning-Gaza scheme, as well as Trump blurting out that "everybody likes the plan", which is not a national position of any Arab country.

This is a closed investment vehicle until summer of 2026, which would facilitate one-big-project in that time, but does not exclude other investment approaches.
