Why do you think I refer to them as "Team R" and "Team D", respectively?
Honestly, I see more reasoned, fact-based arguments from sports fans why they support a given team than I hear from most political partisans. Mostly the political partisans don't argue so much as throw around slogans, thought-terminating cliches, and stupid insults.
The fact of the matter is that Team D is the political manifestation of the Professional Managerial Class, with various minority grievance groups as junior partners, while Team R is the party of Local Gentry, with white Evangelicals as their handmaidens.
For those still stuck. Consider that both parties are part of the same Cartel. They share the same goals; stay in office, stay out of prison, loot everything they can while telling you this is the Greatest country and government in history while they Have more people in prison than Russia and China combined, spend more on militarism and creating terror than the next 12 countries combined. Engage in genocides, looting resources and have occupation forces in more countries than any other .
