This is actually really fascinating, it makes me think harder about social bubbles. Because if you asked me ‘do people realize we have a problem’ I’d say yeah of course they all realize, I mean literally all my friends and family and acquaintances agree on multiple horrible issues we’re trapped in, it’s all we ever talk about, and new people I meet very quickly open up to passionately state this too. Corporations are strangling us, governments are using our money to wage horrific unjust wars we disagree with, public systems are continually eroded for private profit, the media are a joke…. Like I know maybe one or two people who wouldn’t wholeheartedly agree with all of this.

But then I look at comment sections and have a rude awakening.

What scares me is that we are being walked into authoritarianism no matter who wins the upcoming election but not many others are grasping it🫤 I voted for Democrats my entire voting life and things have only gotten worse. Everyone blames the Republicans but the Democrats never do anything. Voting rights, nope. Filibuster.

Bodily autonomy, nope. Filibuster.

Universal healthcare, nope. Filibuster.

Gun control, nope. Filibuster.

Get rid of the filibuster? Biden, nope🤷‍♀️

Biden voted for Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito. He was horrible to Anita Hill. Biden implemented the EXACT SAME border policy as Trump's. Absolutely no one is calling Biden out on it🤬 Same for Trump's wall, which Biden is building.
