"Free Palestine" is something everyone with a shred of humanity should be saying, thinking and feeling. What kind of people don't / won't say this? Killing and starving innocent people shouldn't be debatable.
Every time I hear the word "antisemitism" these days I see a bunch of whiny faced racist facists in my mind. I am grateful for the bravery of people like Mackemore and "those students that risked their diplomas, that risked their tuition, that risked their scholarships, that stood up and said, no. CUAD students, Students for Justice in Palestine, and Jewish Voices for Peace." All of those people help me to know that while I may sometimes feel as if I am losing my mind when I hear about "proud Zionists" there is a little chance that perhaps sanity will eventually win.
"My message is for peace; love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality."
I am not so big-hearted as Mr. Macklemore. Well, perhaps I am, but I see a big obstacle standing before any well-meaning expression of love, and that is Israel/Zionism. That geographical/ideological dyad needs to be dismantled and hauled off to some remote location (better yet, put on a rocket to the sun) and cordoned off as hazardous waste, orders of magnitude worse than any radioactive or biological type. Once that is done we can focus on the love needed for people to lead lives with dignity.
I made a comment today on Simplicius' site; the discussion was about who to vote for in England. I suggested Zak Polanski. First comment I got was: 'He's a Jew.'
I left England just after Corbyn was ousted for being pro-Palestine...........the English on the whole seem to hate anyone that is moral.
OMG yes, thank you Caitlin, aren't we all tired of this pathetic, disingenuous accusation which has been used so cynically.
Does anyone know if Ed Sheeran has made any kind of statement about this? I'm guessing if he declines to drop Macklemore from his tour, that's his tacit response?
The 11 hour long doc "Europa: the Last Battle" shows the full extent of the evil the world is now up against (again as in WW2). It's not for the squeamish though.
Zionism = terrorism

Good on Macklemore. As for me, I don't hate Jews but I do hate genocidal Israel.

They're losing the propaganda battle.
Everyone knows - only 'Merican RW boomers buy this pap.
The rest of the planet is O-U-T.
We're done with it.
It's funny, actually and inspiring.
We're seeing feeble, floor-crawling desperation, utter failure to control this 'anti-semitism' narrative.
WE
ARE
WINNING
🙌
It gets more insane by the day
Caitlin is amazing…
