I crossed paths with Media at the Havana Airport in Dec.2023. When I realized who she was (I don't usually meet such great political figures everyday) I offered both praise and thanks for what she has essentially devoted her life to. After less than a minute it was clear she wasn't interested in my praise at all - she asked me what was the purpose of my travels, then informed me she was there to deliver food aid to the starving Cubans. Standing less than 5-feet tall and under 100-lbs. Media is a giant - a force for exposing the rotten power structures in the US and beyond. Thank you Caitlin for highlighting her and for the great insights and tireless effort to expose the rot. Be well sister.
