The United States received a very small taste of its own medicine today as rioting Trump fanatics temporarily forced their way into the nation's Capitol building, and now the whole nation is freaking out.
“”“Mass-action, during a pandemic that forbids large in-person groups and direct contact, was planned on *social media.* I just assumed the thousands of rioters organized with mailed-newsletters or 6,000-person phone-call trees.... but internet chat-groups on the most popular shared media-platforms?!?!? A shocking turn of events and thus we must purge all criticism of elite power from these sites!!!”””
I think they meant "fermenting the kombucha". The "Viking" is actually a Mandan Indian, noted for their buffalo head dress, possibly a descendant of Lewis or Clark and Sacagawea. He looks normal in a Starbucks uniform.
I followed the link to the story in The Hill about the woman who was killed. The story said she was unarmed and was shot by a Capitol Hill Cop. Caitlin seems all upset about the actions of local cops trying valiantly to prevent property destruction, looting and random killing that took the lives of 4 year old LeGend Taliferro and 8 year old Secoriea Turner during 3+ months of "mainly peaceful" protests. I don't recall hearing of any unarmed women killed by police during those riots. Nor does Caitlin cite any actual violence or vandalism caused by the crowd that by her own admission was permitted to enter the Capitol Building.
However, I do agree with Caitlin's alarm over the calls to shut down internet communications and crush dissent. "OK for me but not for thee," seems to be the favorite slogan of Democrat elites.
You seem to be insinuating that BLM protesters had something to do with the killings of LeGend, and Secoriea. How so?
The police should not use deadly force against unarmed protesters, even if they break into the capitol. But you should also condemn the violence against BLM. They also have a right to protest. Police hit BLM protestors with batons, hit people with tear gas and pepper spray, hurl flash bangs, drove squad cars into demonstrators. They shot many UNARMED people, aimed their guns at faces and shot them in the eye deliberately with rubber bullets. At least 20 people suffered traumatic eye injuries. A 75-year-old man was shoved to ground by Buffalo police and suffered serious brain injury. It was only luck that he wasn't killed. Yet
you characterize the police response to BLM as "valiant". It was not. It was fascist, just as it was fascist to shoot Ashli Babbit. Folks should stand together against fascism.
I don't know whether the KC police have arrested a suspect in LeGend's death, but it occurred while an atmosphere of lawlessness and violence prevailed. There's not question about the circumstances in which Secoriea died. Her parent had unintentionally driven into the area next to the Wendys where protesters had set up a barricade.
Where police take violent action against ACTUAL peaceful demonstrators on public property that the protesters are not attempting to vandalize or burn, that must always be condemned, but that was not what was mainly happening during the summer, notwithstanding the media claims of "95% peaceful." If only 5% are committing overt violent acts, the other 95% participating by remaining there and not dispersing.
I certainly agree that "Folks should stand together against fascism." The question is, who is and who is not "fascist?" It's a word that gets tossed around a lot with little thought.
