Meanwhile, people like Julian Assange were put behind bars for years for no good reason, and other people like Francesca Albanese are having their bank accounts frozen for doing their jobs.

The double standard is sickening.

Yes, I wish with all my heart that Caitlin & Tim would start engaging in stochastic terrorism, especially against billionaires like Musk and Altman. It'd certainly help move social progress a lot quicker.

I can already hear the pearl clutchers trying to defend Biden but the Facts speak for themselves.

Every single POTUS since WW2 has committed crimes against Humanity and War Crimes with the stroke of a President's pen.

Even Jimmy Carter...

If these statements upset you then you're either in denial, willfully ignorant or deliberately obtuse.

US imperial foreign policy has followed the UK playbook, using the military to secure markets for Corporations and "Business" access.

Witness the Medieval Siege of CUBA or the Invasion of Venezuela both a result of Natiinalists denying US Corporations access.

I could go on but the records are public.

Thanks again to Caitlin & Tom for keeping the porch light on.

Don't forget the bounty on the heads of all men woman and children of aboriginal nations of N. America, Polk's War that split Mexico in half, Jefferson's Louisiana purchase of lands that didn't belong to France, like the purchase from the UK of what is currently called Washington and Oregon, the Spanish American War, or the allied invasion of Russia at the end of WWI and like you, I could go on. The U.S. has always been an Imperialist Enterprise and will continue to be one until it no longer is one. Is world peace right around the corner? I doubt it but the western empire is in decline right now as the rest of world comes to understand these imperialists are not as tough as people once believed.

I highlighted the Modern Atrocities because they're still fresh in the Minds of the living witnesses.

Find Monster by Steppenwolf from 1969 for that history lesson.

Or, you too are a genocidal Zionist maniac.

Two words: Henry. Kissinger. (Just a case in point. I lost two good friends in Latin America, thanks to that monster. Both were murdered in their early 20s. Kissinger lived to be one hundred years old.) Thanks for reminding us all of the monsters who run our world, and have for the entirety of my 73 years.

Dianne,

Maybe you are only partially right in suggesting that monsters run the world. The other part is that the world is run by money, and more to the point, the power of money. If there’s a limit on the power of money, the monsters will have less power.

Last thought. … Who are the monsters, and where do they come from?

And we’re supposed to have compassion for this evil bastard! He deserves worse than cancer!

Maybe it really is a divine comedy, and the joke is on us. We're living in hell, yet hope to make it a paradise - but none of us will be here in a hundred years. Dust in the wind.

I will never forgive “Genocide Joe” for Gaza. I wrote him when he was president asking him for an arms embargo and for a call for a ceasefire. His reply was a defiant rebuke, citing the usual justifications out of the Israeli playbook — Israel has a right to defend itself, the U.S. would never abandon its ally, Israel, the U.S. would relentlessly oppose terrorism, etc. When Biden was in the senate, before he became VP, he received more money from AIPAC than any other member of Congress.

Earlier today, I left a comment on another Substack site in which a podcaster invoked Biden’s “decency” in contrast to Trump. I invoked Biden’s support for, i.e., enablement of a genocide and told the author he should be ashamed of himself. But how often have we U.S.A.’an’s heard U.S. journalists talk about Biden’s “decency?”

Genocide will be his legacy — not decency.

It’s an outrage that former Philippine President Duterte is being held in The Hague on murder charges.

He’s accused of targeting drug dealers in the Philippines 🇵🇭 in which perhaps 6,000 were killed.

While The Satanic Khazar Occupation has murdered multi—hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Palestine 🇵🇸 and Lebanon in the past several years. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people have been grievously wounded in Palestine 🇵🇸 and Lebanon 🇱🇧.

My FIL died of prostate cancer that spread to his bones and eventually to his liver. He suffered enormous pain. I pitied him, but I have no sympathy for Biden. The pain he is feeling is a tiny, tiny fraction of the pain he has inflicted.

He should be tried for abetting genocide, but when we gloat over someones painful death, we lower ourselves and become what we despise

JG Miller's avatar

No. That attitude stems from useless liberal manners. Wide swathes of people have been trained to be docile to factions and individuals who actively hurt us. The proper human response is to get angry and point out realities, as Johnstone is doing.

"The world is a mess because men like Joe Biden get to die peacefully in their homes of cancer."

Dying of cancer isn't always "peaceful". Take it from someone who lost both her parents to cancer. But that Biden hasn't been at least charged with his war crimes is infuriating. We are letting these war criminals get off easy. It's time to organize and take action to make all those responsible for the genocide of Palestine pay.

Lost parents in laws to cancer & War Criminal Joe Bidens dementia.

ennui_mcgee's avatar

All of us die. It is a privileged death to die at old age at home surrounded by family. That's the spirit of the message. It's not a commentary about cancer.

Chuck Nasmith's avatar

Israel & War is a cancer. Control the narrative. Free Palestine. Ask people Whats the weather in Langley & Tel Aviv, or are you with team Blue or Red AIPAAC side? Are you for Power to the People and Peace and Justice ? Help Wanted

ennui_mcgee's avatar

What in the name of tits was this incoherent response?

The Revolution Continues's avatar

Why mention it then? Cancer effects everyone in this day and age, rich and poor. Mentioning it brings up painful memories for many of us (especially if we're at risk for it as well). The commentary that war criminals should be imprisoned can be made without bringing up an illness that strikes so many every year.

Chuck Nasmith's avatar

There are many cancers and types. Where are you located? Control the narrative. One State Palestine.

I trust only one thing. Truth. Worked more than a decade and more for Julian. Educate. Repeat.

Joe Biden is an old man in decrepit flesh. Cancer is extremely common. If you live old enough, odds are you are going to get it same as many others. Joe Biden happens to have the privilege of getting treatment and palliative care and being surrounded by loved ones in a comparatively stress-free setting. Bombs aren't going off around him. His loved ones aren't being murdered by an army of evil. He's not being deprived of treatment like Palestinians with cancer were. He didn't start dying of cancer as a child or young adult in their prime. He lived a full human life. His death is absolutely one of privilege. I don't mean to invalidate your feelings about cancer or any other illness for that matter but I think you are making something out of nothing here.

This is not to mention his manipulation of Ukraine to fight NATO's proxy war against Russia costing thousands upon thousands of deaths and playing with an even more cataclysmic confrontation.

It would be much more appropriate to send him to Gaza for his medical needs!!

Don’t worry, the “DSA Left” are winning primaries and “fighting for justice” - translation : saying things that their supporters like to hear which make their tummies feel nice and warm. Like how AOC “fights”, by lying for dumbass Kamala Genocide Harris about fake “working tirelessly for a ceasefire” to sheepdog voters into the rightwing, corporate, warmongering Dems and not voting against more weapons for the Jewish Supremacists murderering babies… but at least she cried… making sure the cameras caught it, obvs. 🙄

It's remarkable how so many schmucks are falling for AOC & Sanders yet again. Like really? Really? You know when you're being "sheep dogged" - who the sheep are don't you?

These bastards all think that they can live forever. It is salutary to amplify their deaths.

I learned this from a mentor who had been a member of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade: when he heard of some war criminal getting sick, dying at an advanced age despite his crimes, my mentor used to spit on the ground and say, "Another fascist bites the dust." He wasn't celebrating. He was merely counting down, keeping score. Sadly, he died a year before Franco breathed his last.
