He’s doing what Caitlin described - trying to gather a big umbrella - but that time has long passed, a moral stance is necessary. The people are begging for it actually.

The best thing was witnessing majority of the crowd chanting Free Palestine. The crowd is ready to erupt for Palestine (just as it was in the 1 second Kamala referenced it at the DNC). But they are quickly subdued by the ‘leaders’… if they truly opted to lead, the people are ready.

Palestinians have a right to defend themselves. Palestine has a right to exist and has existed for at least two millennia. Israel’s right to exist is debatable.

This is the crucial point.. but first agree 100% with you regards Palestine.

But what was the play out on Oct 7th ? ... the staged invasion by "bad terrorists !!", onto Israeli land (as recognised by some) ... all defences switched off including the automatic weapons, impenetrable gates crashed through, paragliders ???, troops moved, the festival moved the day before, hostages taken ... (ever see one fight back ?) ??... so now - according to International law ... Israel DO HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT to defend itself.

See how it all fits together ?; clever isn't it; but think it has backfired on Israel; the people are rising.

All living entities have a natural right to self-defense. That includes smallpox, anthrax, SARS COV2, etc. But that doesn’t mean that we should support them.

The International Court of Criminal Justice has ruled against the actions of Israel and Bibi the Yahoo, but has no police force to do much about that.

Most members of the United Nations do not support Israel, but the USA and Israel have veto power to override the UN.

Only a massive uprising of “the people” can change the system that has been designed to resist change.

NO ... "The International Court of Criminal Justice has ruled against the actions of Israel and Bibi the Yahoo, but has no police force to do much about that."....

They ruled against the genocidal actions of Israel and Bibi PLUS certain actions of HAMAS (the government of Palestine, with a so called military wing). Just more smoke and mirrors !.

Always brings tears to my eyes.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Marseillaise

That song is a spinoff of the spirit of the French Revolution that preceded it — a rousing call for all citizens to take up arms against their oppressors. The oppressors were identified as the ruling class of wealthy elites. By today’s standards, the “citizens” would be called socialists or communists.

The French doctor Guillotine invented the machine for quick and allegedly painless decapitation of the oppressors

— far less ghastly than what US-made bombs are doing to the Palestinians.

Their right to exist began when the Zionist entity was foisted on traditional Palestinian homeland courtesy of the Balfour Declaration, product of the despicable British cowards

Expand full comment
CK's avatar

By what authority did Mark Sykes prepare that Balfour Declaration to create Israel within oil-rich Palestine, in addition to the Sykes-Picot agreement that created the countries of Iran and Iraq based upon their oil fields?

The British later defined Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, etc. without the consent of the natives. The British also participated in the Greek - Turkish Population Exchange of 1922/1923 — a euphemism for ethnic cleansing of Greeks, Jews and Armenians from the Ottoman Empire. The Brits’ motivation was for access to the oil fields and for unimpeded access for ships to traverse the Bosphorus en route to the Black Sea.

The British Empire acted with arrogance and audacity, unimpeded by the American Empire that wanted a piece of the oil action, and strategic access to the Middle East.

The local inhabitants of all affected countries were not consulted.

May 31,2010 and my eyes were opened when the IDF murdered the 9 people who were delivering supplies from boats on the Sea bypassing the blocked entrance from both Egypt and Israel's entrance to Gaza, after Hamas was elected because Abbas was a bought&paid for Pro-Irael duplicitous turncoat who never was going to be more than than that as Palestinians were completely blocked from leaving or for being able to get anything for themselves and after 2008-2009 Cast Lead start of many massacres turning Gaza into tons and tons of rubble on top of rubble with 2000 died with the month 2008-2009. So, after she returned from alone seeking truth/trip she created the site ifamericansknew.org Alison Weir's journey to the truth, and found out about Rachel Corrie's 2003 death from Caterpillar driver who drove over her, as she tried to stop the demolition of their home. Every Zionist accusation is a confession. The face value/meaning of every Zionist statement can safely be reversed for the reality of it.

>Never Again = Anytime WE want

>Right to defend itself = Freedom to murder, maim and occupy at will and crush any attempt to resist

>Right to exist = Absolutely zero right to exist

>Most moral army in the world = Most depraved, evil military force on Earth

>We are innocent and were raped, beheaded, kidnapped and executed = We are the brutal occupying force guilty of systematic rape, mutilation, torture and extra-legal executions and we maintain a decades long program of kidnapping and imprisoning innocents

>Israelis should never have to fear for their lives = Palestinians and any other non-Jews in our vicinity must always fear for their lives

>Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East = Israel will do anything it can to convince outsiders that they have a democracy, but they really have an apartheid theocratic ethno-supremacist cartel for a government

>Israel is America's ally = Run far the fuck away from this rabid wolf in sheep's clothing. Israel is NOBODY'S ally except in cases where we might benefit, but as soon as you're not needed anymore, we have no problem prostrating you and sucking the last morsels of flesh off your bones

>Criticism of "Israel" is anti-semitic = "Israel" IS anti-semitism embodied

>"Israel" exists as a homeland for persecuted Jews who are never actually safe anywhere else in the world = "Israel" will do anything in its power to increase actual hatred of Jews elsewhere in the world so that they feel compelled to come here, where they are far less safe

>"Israel" only wants to exist in peace, but these savages won't let us = "Israel" is a savage settler colonial apartheid state that may allow YOU to temporarily exist in peace, but we aren't making any guarantees if we don't get EVERYTHING we want from you

Missing from the standard narrative about South Africa, is that the Khoisan/Hottentots/Bushmen - the original inhabitants of south Africa - were not sub-Saharan Negros/Blacks. When the time the Boers arrived on the Cape, there was an agreement with the Khoisan, which land they could farm. The farmland was of no use to the Khoisan. At the same time, Bantus and Zulus were invading from the North, slaughtering everyone in sight and taking what they wanted. While Apartheid may have been objectionable, one may ask that if it was so bad, why did millions of Blacks from other countries flood into South Africa to work? Trade unions were allowed in South Africa, unlike many countries in Africa. Narratives are created, because allowing all of the pertinent information, like Mandela, who was not Khoisan, being imprisoned for planning to blow up a power plant, killing people in the process, make things more complicated.

After a while I realized that he was saying the exact same thing in every interview and speech. It was like he was reading from a script. Something didn't feel right to me. So, I started paying attention to the words he was using and how those words were phrased. Then it dawned on me. I reached the same conclusion as you did. He was blaming it all on netanyahu and his current government. By doing that, he was exempting Israel and all Israelis from the responsibility. It's like Bernie found his own Oct 7 - the day netanyahu formed this current government. According to Bernie, 1948 didn't happen, 1967 didn't happen, 2004 didn't happen, 2015 didn't happen and so on. There is an international principle of proportionality in war, which Israel finds itself not beholden to. To enact a genocide is an act of psychopathy and Israel is drunk with blood lust. If it were a few leaders in power committing the IDF to enact these crimes they could be removed and face consequences. But we are informed that the general population approves with some exceptions.

Self-defense must always be proportional. It is a lawless rogue nation that acts in defiance of this.

For more than a year before 7 October 2023, official reports from IDF GAZA patrol informed the Netanyahu government of what they already knew that the money from Qatar, which Netanyahu also permitted to be transferred to GAZA, that money was part of the preparation for an intentional Hamas invasion so that again, Israel could proclaim it had a right to defend itself because all the world was antisemitic. And again, just as all previous attacks had been triggered by Israeli instrumentalization of Palestinians, Israel declared itself the victim and Netanyahu could displace the nation’s focus on his criminal activities because they were now in a war. It was no accident that the IDF had been transferred to the far reaches of Israel. It was no accident that initial reports from the IDF were ignored. It was no accident that for the first time in 77 years, the Palestinians were free to cut the fence and charge in unopposed into their occupier’s territory. It was no accident that Israel sacrificed its own civilians attending the Nova concert using the excuse of the Hannibal Directive and then blaming all the deaths on Hamas.
