Thus, this is an attempted end-run around the people of the U.S. According to AIPAC’s website, the measure would, among other things, guarantee an additional $65 million in U.S. military funding for Israel in 2027 beyond what it is already receiving in 2026.

Well. The US is also my country (well I was born here, if that makes it my country), but I'm well aware of the many crimes of the US starting long before Israel existed. If you think Israel subverted what would have been an admirable country, you need to read some history, perhaps People's History of the US by Howard Zinn.
I have read quite a lot of Howard Zinn's writings and admire him very much. I am under no illusion about the false narrative concocted about "American Exceptionalism" and did not suggest that the war crimes and other evils committed by the US are solely the fault of the Zionists or that they began with the unfortunate acceptance by the UN of Israel as a nation state. The letter was drafted before the U.S. House Armed Services Committee passed the provision earlier this week. I don’t know when a full vote of the House is scheduled.
This is what A New Policy had to say about Section 224 on its website.

Thus, this is an attempted end-run around the people of the U.S. According to AIPAC’s website, the measure would, among other things, guarantee an additional $65 million in U.S. military funding for Israel in 2027 beyond what it is already receiving in 2026.

If you think Israel subverted what would have been an admirable country, you need to read some history, perhaps People's History of the US by Howard Zinn.
I have read quite a lot of Howard Zinn's writings and admire him very much. I am under no illusion about the false narrative concocted about "American Exceptionalism" and did not suggest that the war crimes and other evils committed by the US are solely the fault of the Zionists or that they began with the unfortunate acceptance by the UN of Israel as a nation state.
