Heaven or hell: what the human ego chooses to make of the present moment. Giving in to the burning agonies from the wear and tear of the joints or the grinding inhumanity assaulting the neural synapses. Or seeing the Mourning Dove coexisting with the Roadrunner as both find sustenance and integration within a seemingly dreary winterscape. Or the coexistence of Bach, Jazz, Folk, and Hip Hop as the diversity of spiritual crying out — yearning for creativity over war and destruction. This is what your beautiful verse evokes in me, thank you.

Well, I certainly don't understand the universe. Still working on it. I do suggest we stop shooting and burning one another for a start. Any ideas about how to do this?

Man, this one got me. Very beautifully written!

I once understood the earth. But only for a couple of seconds. I knew for sure that I was a tiny speck but still part of the earth, the stream than I could hear, the trees, the wind in the trees.

"This is IT and we are IT." That's from more than 60 years ago by Alan Watts, a fave. The moment you realize that you are aware, you have become enlightened. We *are* The Universe expressing itself as a human being; always both since as AW postulates, a wave is always both a trough and a crest. Or as John and Yoko mused decades ago:

"Imagine there's no heaven

It's easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us, only sky

Imagine all the people

Livin' for today

Ah..." >>> You know the rest of it, don't you?

Well, my friends, The Age of Aquarius is being held in abeyance.

Many thanks to Caitlin & Tim for all you do and all you are!

Yes, wide open to both the agony and the beauty while not getting tricked into taking sides or pretending to know the secrets of it. Thank you Caitlin for reminding us of the which is valuable in the land of inverted values. Like you, we all need to figure out a way to keep our hearts open, even when we’re traversing hell.
