The awakening is happening already! The only thing is that the parasitic class knows this and since they control the media they bombard us with doom and gloom.
But everyday more and more people are waking up and changing their world — unplugging from the Matrix.
I am not sure I have the same hope as you do. If you try to comment on the blog in the link below saying that the imperial war machine is the biggest polluter in the world, either you get called "Putinist" or your comment will be deleted without even a response: https://protonsforbreakfast.wordpress.com
Some people have been completely brainwashed by decades of propaganda and lost forever!
Caitlin doesn't seem to be including the Technofascists in her theory. Or Their plans to use Mass Surveillance to prevent ANY Freedom. I do feel a growing consciousness, but how does everyone becoming more enlightened prevent Digital Currency, which is the Endgame and where we lose most - if not all, of Our ability to live outside the Matrix?
We can all lose our ego and move to a higher spiritual plane, while we are Debanked, Classified by Productivity Worth or Useless Eater, and forced into 15 minute Slave Cities.
Caitlin never seems to address how the Peter Thiels & Sam Altmans of Earth are going to stop becoming Trillionaires and using their money to reduce the World Pop thru poison food, cancer, starvation brought on by the Oil Crisis and Endless War.
What Caitlin is really saying, is IF ANY humans are left, after the Technofascist and Zio Billionaires have deleted and enslaved most of us, destroyed most freshwater sources for Their AI God (it is a religion to them)... after ALL that and worse, since Mizz Izzy has the Samson option of using Her stockpile of stolen nukes... after ALL that is done... FINALLY....
Peace.
We won't be there for any of it, but it will happen.
Throughout history, "mass awakenings" usually came in the form of mass protests or revolutions, as singular authoritarian rulers (monarchs, e.g.) and their ilk were either ousted or maintained their posts with stipulations of change. What we are facing now is a first world full of unworkable democracies that have been overtaken by billionaire oligarchs and corporations who have supplanted the rule of law, as the legal guardrails have acquiesced to said oligarchs and corporations.
The "guardrails" under the aformentioned were the other "royal" or "granter" enablers (barons, dukes, earls, etc. "courts") who needed those protesters and revolters to make life smooth for them. Testing the wind direction, the enablers would tip the balance one way or another.
Our guardrails are gone. The enablers are the new laws of the land. Laws are only as good as the ones enacting good, stable laws and enforcing them. Alas, we have neither.
A revolution it will be. People will not go back to the seemingly quasi-corruption and do-nothing congress of Post-war America, where the middle class, after a 20 year run, succumbed to the financial imperatives of the conservative-driven courts, corporations and, ultimately, the legislature.
They can't go back....not if they know what's good for them.
This is so true and another prescient column!! The awakening is already happening, all over. The elite are frantically playing whack-a-mole trying to shut down this truth, but like the grace of the Absolute, (which, IMO this mass awakening is), it rains down at all times, everywhere. And it's becoming obvious. Time's up for dark forces.
This is a very necessary message and I agree 100%. You are right: it's long been considered the cool thing to be cynical. But "humanity is stupid" messages are nothing but self-serving, because the person spouting them never includes themselves in the statement.
No, humanity is a child. We are young to the game of consciousness. For Chrissake, we've only had written language for a few thousand years, the printing press for a few hundred, and so on. We think of this as a long time, but if you measure it by the scales necessary to understand the nature of consciousness it's like we just woke up.
Of course it's going to take a while, and that is doubly so when you consider the nature of the problems that we are addressing. I personally put man's high point at about 25,000 BC. Once the goddess worship society propounded by people like Terence McKenna started to wither you can watch the sickness of modern civilization creep into us bit by bit.
This means that if we are going to unearth it, holy hell it's not going to be short and easy. The Kali Yuga system suggests that we have something like 432,000 years left of spiritual degradation before we turn things around. Not everybody agrees with this metric, but I think the exact number is unimportant. What is important is that we recognize that it's not going to be some simplistic Hollywood fix of destroying this or that and then boom, freedom. We are liberating our consciousness from what Wilhelm Reich called the "emotional plague", and that is going to take a long time, and a lot of patience, compassion, and relentless effort.
My most recent article was about what you say. I see in the Macklemore controversy signs that we are finally hitting the breaking point that so many of us have been waiting to see. The "mass man" isn't placated any more by the bread and circuses, because the bread is moldy and expensive and the circus is fake and boring, and in any event we know what's going on outside the tent and can't look away any more.
To say we have a long way to go is a monumental understatement. No one reading these words should be under any illusion that liberation of the human spirit will take place in our lifetime. It's a tree for one generation to plant and the next ones to cultivate. We have to build on the work of those who have gone before us and then add to it for posterity to do the same. There is no single cathartic victory, just little ones like this recent spat which reminds us that as long as the road is, we'll get there as long as we don't give in.
I agree with you Caitlin. As an old bugger and an avid consumer of history I know there have been many times when the trend has been terrible and doom and gloom was the order of the day. And then somehow, be it a sharp point of reflexivity or a gradual pivot, the trend line changed. We have a tendance to extrapolate out to infinity but, like they say, It's difficult to make predictions, especially about the future. One thing that is indisputably true: it is darkest just before dawn. We may have a couple of years of darkness (say till January 2029?) ahead of us but the dawn is coming.
Seems to me we are at a stage where almost everyone everywhere thinks there is something very very wrong with the world, but there is no agreement on in what way. And very hard to sway people from their very personal opinion about the causes or the best way forward. This opinion will be formed and held at a very primal fear/flight depth well below a cortex which can be appealed to by reason or even additional evidence (since people think they know what they see with their own eyes). And of course they will see other takes as delusional. There must be tireless argument to make the case, but I just can’t see a mass awakening without cataclysmic events to dice people up. On the plus side, it seems very likely there is a queue of them lined up on the horizon.

This is the win right here! 🙏❤️💪
A mass awakening or a mass reckoning? Or are those the same thing?
The question surely is,Caitlin, not " can we get there?" But can we get there in time?

I wanted to believe too, but I'm losing hope.

I love your optimism, even if I struggle to share it....
That makes sense.

If humanity smashes its face into cement, I'm also fine with this. It is well deserved.
