Zero is enough! I’ve had enough of Israel, US, Britain, France, etc. blood thirsty murderous actions toward the Palestinians and other Arabs. I’m totally ashamed of the USA.

Israel's rep to the UN said yesterday, "The UN is failing, and you, Mr. Secretary-General, have lost all morality and impartiality. Because when you say those terrible words that these heinous attacks did not happen in a vacuum, you are tolerating terrorism, and I think that the Secretary-General must resign."

They've enjoyed decades of the world's tolerance -- but these people are, openly, shamelessly, certifiably, fucking nuts. It is *not sane* for a nation's leading "diplomat" to a world body to publicly deny the very principle of cause-and-effect, on the psychology of whole populations. Does the prime representative from Israel not know the history of the Jews? Every one else does, it's been hammered into us non-stop for decades!

Either that, or he has the chutzpah to think that not only the hoi polloi, but *all* their representatives in power, are, or will remain, so stone-stupid or twisted scared that they will continue to submit to anything. But "you can't fool all of the people, all of the time", and at some point, people have nothing important to lose any more. You can kill us off one by one, but in turn you breed ten times as many who will speak truth to power, and worse. That's how we got here, after all. Duh.

So, sadly, the resolution of this conflict will not go smoothly. World, buckle up.

So well said, thank you! These people are nuts (not really, they are drunk with their power and they know they can get away with it). The UN is in bad shape, but it is the best we have and Mr Guterres does the BEST he can do - all the GenSec's are hampered (I read Mr Boutros-Ghalis book and liked it very much) and attacked for whatever they try do say or do and in addition don't have much power ... When Biden said he stood with Israel, it made me furious. Then I started to do research and,Oh BOY, what I learned.

No, there will never be enough killing. Israel is not going after just Hamas, they are going after the population.

and also Norman Finkelstein, Edward Said, Gideon Levy, Dr. Alice Rothchild, Noam Chomsky. Prof. Sam Vadnin.

This is ethnic cleansing. The decades long festering infection that is Gaza erupted into a boil that burst. It's an assault on everything Israel stands for and unbelievably humiliating.

There have been many smaller events like this that gave Israel the excuse to further eliminate the Indigenous population they uprooted in '48, destroying nearly all the Palestinian villages and then the urban area.

Don't expect the Israeli's to respond to criticism with anything other than righteous fury.

They are entitled to destroy these inferior people who are even less than animals.

Israel is not a democarcy, it is a colonial apartheid.

I thought and still do that Netanyahu knew of Hamas's intentions, let it happen, since it was to be seized upon as an opportunity to ethnically cleanse Gaza. I can't prove it, but Israel has been brutal in it's many attacks on Gaza over the years and I think Israel was ready to implement it's final solution.. I find it loathsome that both sides of the political isle in the states knowing of the carnage simply lend justification to all the deaths, all the destruction that Israel is implementing. What has been happening in the West Bank also lends credence to what I believe to be true. Pro-Israeli propaganda has put people on the side of Israel, and perhaps even more significant is our many wars, that killed and displaced millions of Muslims with little if any condemnation from the mainstream media and with no objecting voices in government.

The fact that there would be coordination at the tactical beginning of the current struggle does not preclude the divergence of purpose once it is underway. This is the "problem" with arming resistance fighters, they actually do have their own minds and objectives.

Here from one of the Hamas hostages who was released (from my Redacted newsletter) Meanwhile, Hamas released two hostages and in the footage, an elderly lady being released shakes a Hamas fighter’s hand and says, “peace.” She was later quoted by Gaza media as saying this: “Al-Qassam fighters treated us humanely and did not kill any civilians, but it was the Israeli occupation army that killed Israeli civilians during the clash with fighters from Gaza.” This is known as "The Hannibal Directive" meant for the military but it obviously goes beyond that! We've been subject to dehumanizing war language for years in the U.S. It's been ongoing against conservatives ever since Trump first walked down the stairs. But this animation is possible because nearly all people, including members of any and all opposed sides, believe that they can possess unimpeachable factual and moral truths vs others. But that's an illusion.

I'm a Leftist, and have lost hope in the current age of humanity treating itself with sufficient respect to conduct a democracy. It appears the only solution is to recognize that all truths, positive and normative, are ultimately inaccessible, because all humans are both imperfect and limited. Literally *any* truth can, at some point, become re-recognized as false. Therefore, truth is possessable by no human. In other words -- it's all belief.

That's how we can regain the humility that painstakingly brought us the fruit of modern science and democracy over the last several hundred years.

There will never be enough death perpetrated by Israel on Palestinians until Israel has killed all the Palestinians and taken over what ever land it wants. Israel is supported by the US which does the same wherever it decides an enemy exists (even if it is a fictional enemy, invented by the US, as somewhere with some people the US has decided are an enemy. It’s a very odd mentality and just plain paranoid). The UK does the same: it hides behind the US and pops its head out and shouts “yeah, you’re our enemy, too” before popping back, hiding behind the US. It’s called the‘special relationship’. This is where the UK supports everything the US wants, having had US support during WW2 and for which the UK paid the US huge sums over many decades.

I see the UK government has agreed with Israel and the US that the hospital bomb was self-inflicted, based on its own intelligence: what a surprise! Is this the same intelligence Israel and the US used, by any chance?

I also see Israel has demanded the UN Secretary General stand down for being antisemitic because he called on Israel to allow aid to enter Gaza. That’s an interesting conflation and what Israel and Jews do all the time.

The blatant manner in which Israeli air strikes have flouted international law, totally ignoring the mealy mouthed calls from Biden, Macron, et al, and meeting any UN utterings with outright scorn, leads me to believe that they know they will have nobody to answer to, when the final body count is in. Dear, Sen. Baldwin:

I wanted to share with you important information regarding the Gaza situation. In a recent column by Chris Hedges, former NYTime bureau chief for the Middle East reports:

“The Israeli army mobilized Ezra Yachin, a 95-year-old army veteran, to “motivate” the troops. Yachin was a member of the Lehi Zionist militia that carried out numerous massacres of Palestinian civilians, including the Deir Yassin massacre on April 9, 1948, where over 100 Palestinian civilians, many women and children, were slaughtered.

"’Be triumphant and finish them off and don’t leave anyone behind. Erase the memory of them. Erase them, their families, mothers and children. These animals can no longer live. Every Jew with a weapon should go out and kill them. If you have an Arab neighbor, don’t wait, go to his home and shoot him.’”

This is not some old guy at the end of the bar ranting. This man was brought in by the Israeli government to motivate Israeli troops. To tell them what to do. What is happening in Gaza is ethnic cleansing and genocide and it is being done with US intelligence, military planning assistance, weaponry and tax dollars. The United States is actively participating in ethnic cleansing and genocide.
