A deeply corrupt country, the most destructive warmongering empire in history sends weapons of war to what genuine historians recognize as the most corrupt country in Eurasia, with a deep vein of fascism hearkening back to WWII Nazi filth. What could possibly go wrong?

“In the Voznesensk area of the Nikolaev region an arsenal that stored 45,000 tons of ammunition recently supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by NATO countries has been destroyed,” the ministry stated, adding that Russian forces eliminated five other ammo depots.

Meanwhile, the Russian army conducted strikes on the deployment point of units of Ukraine’s 72nd mechanized brigade at an agricultural facility in the Donetsk People’s Republic city of Artemovsk, wiping out up to 130 soldiers and eight transport and armored vehicles, the ministry’s statement read. https://www.veteranstoday.com/2022/08/07/russia-takes-out-45000-tons-of-nato-ammo/

This is not the first source saying the weapons we’ve provided are not accounted for and are likely to have been sold.

I heard Caitlin was a paid Russian asset. Nearly as bad as that damn Dr. Rand Paul for forcing our overlords into a vote to prove how little fucks they give about where the weapons and money end up. Accountability is transphobic.

Margaret A.'s avatar

That’s the smear said about anyone who disagrees with the official US narrative. CNN had a similar story. Among other sources. Are they being paid by Russia? https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/04/19/politics/us-weapons-ukraine-intelligence/index.html

On the bright side, the gross dishonesty is destroying what little was left of the credibility of the MSM and once the Ukraine is defeated the credibility and reputation of Washington and Brussels will be in tatters.

There is also the possibility of Russia holding war crimes trials (some in absentia) is relation to the biowarfare labs. These have the potential to scandalise global opinion. The West will ignore or dismiss such trials, but people cross Asia, Africa and Latin America will pay attention.

The "reputation" of Washington has long been in the dirt

People do not wish to see the pro-Nazi (the original Nazis from WWII) connections in the Kyiv government, nor the way in which they’ve treated Russian native people who voted to separate.

Hi, from Anne. Did you get my post with the title from weekly blitz? I got no reply’s. Also now have one re Israel and Arabs that is really surprising and hopeful. Re credibility of MSM and the DC deep state, that attack on Trump has just about done them in, I think. Also, today, apparently Trudope has said that he wants to continue to destroy Can. small businesses and make Can. “green”. At the same time, no more fertilizer for farmers to cut down on “emissions”. I don’t know if he really believes nitrogen and carbon are problems or is just using them as an excuse. I don’t think many people are still duped by that climate crisis crap. Also, Andrew Lawton’s book on the Freedom Convoy is excellent - has lots in it that I don’t think got into the press. At least I didn’t see it, even in True North News.

Yes, I did. Did not previously know any anything about Nagorno-K. You are right about Trump. The raid smacks of desperation and it is clear that the Dems are panicking. Trudeau is reckless and will most likely self-destruct.

After reviewing the list of Ukrainian government objections, these can be boiled down to the following: "It makes us look bad and we don't like it."

An independent press is now passe: it is traitorous, and as Caitlin observes, it is also traitorous to mention that fact. This is propaganda as high art: We are all required to be actors pretending to be genuine citizens of genuine democracies, and then believe the acting is reality: "Those the gods would destroy they first make mad": Never was that quotation more appropriate. This is the perfect formula for the task.

"You can't have it both ways. Either you want the mass media to serve as war propagandists or you want them to tell the truth. You cannot hold both of those positions simultaneously. They are mutually exclusive. And many actually want the former."

So true--and so damning of the entire American/Western journalist profession that kisses the MIC's collective backside whenever they get their wrists slapped. It makes me glad I no longer work for a newspaper anymore. Journalism died long before the day they locked up Julian Assange.

God save Julian Assange.

If you watched it, it was laced with uncritical demagoguery towards Russia and endless support of the Zelenskyy regime. The only truthful part was that the weapons are being diverted. Ukraine has been a massive money laundering operation since 2014.

Hillary Han's avatar

The fact that it did get out and some people will watch it; the fact that you are writing about it, and other journalists might too--maybe it will make a small ripple in the toxic media lake, that carries each of them.

JJS in AZ's avatar

Well, the report was truthful, in part, and that simply cannot be allowed.

Outsider's avatar

What part of it isn't true?

Feral Finster's avatar

The idea that Ukraine is anything other than a corrupt kakistocracy, not Noble Freedom Fighters who so totally do not have any truck with neonazis whatsoever.

James Somers's avatar

Shame on CBS for allowing Ukrainian officials to roll over on them.

I wish we knew what the hell is really going on there.

If you have Telegram, look at Bellum Acta or Intel Slava Z. Both are in English.

I believe that Boris Rozhin, aka "Colonel Cassad" also has an English-language version.

You can actually hold two opposing views in your psyche, and it is called cognitive dissonance. Frankly, I think a lot of people are suffering from multiple personality disorder from their fragmented psyches, so it is no surprise they are incoherent, dissonant, scattered, and chaotic.

I/We want mass media to tell the truth to serve war propaganda.

There we go. Mutually exclusive no longer!

Phillip's avatar

IMO what many people want is entertainment...moral and emotional stimulation...war porn. Plus affirmation of their political and ethnic prejudices, reinforcement of their world-view.

There would also be some who could not tell the difference between truth/propaganda or could not be bothered: a lot of people simply live in a state of confusion. The news is just a blur, especially if it involves people overseas.

The Russian military has taken out a depot in southern Ukraine that stored NATO-supplied ammunition, the Defense Ministry claimed on Sunday.
