So Frum praises the US for getting rid of ISIS. Conveniently, he ignores the fact that if the US had not invaded, there would never have been Al Qeda in Iraq or ISIS, which evolved from it. So, first we created ISIS, and then we destroyed it. In between, we employed ISIS and other jihadist groups in Syria to fight Assad and the Syrian government. What a BS artist Frum is--one of the all-time greats.
The U.S. government has a long history of going into other countries and creating monsters that come back to bite them in the ass 20 years later and then patting themselves on the back for killing them.

I read that book many years ago. It’s a classic and just as relevant today as when it was first published.
