Narrative flip flopping is not new, but the speed of the reversals leaves one a bit agog. As to the lab leak vs natural origin conflict, here's another possibility worth thinking about briefly. What if Fauci's funding for gain of function research at Wuhan is itself a deception? What if the virus really was developed at Ft. Detrich and the idea that it was developed at Wuhan is a fall-back narrative to protect ongoing GOF research, just in case somebody could prove it was lab made instead of natural? There are all sorts of other speculations you can make if you dive deeper into the rabbit hole.
Here's something I recently wrote: "POLICE CRIME" The police are government agents. Police brutality and murder is government brutality and murder. Although minorities are disproportionally targeted, police brutality and murder is not exclusively an expression of racism. In sheer numbers (as opposed to ethnic percentages), many whites are also maimed, killed, and/or falsely imprisoned by police officers. The police will arrest and brutalize a white hedge fund manager if he’s unrecognized and in the wrong place at the wrong time. You don’t hear of these cases because they’re settled out of court with large financial awards to the victims with the stipulation that the victims can’t discuss their cases with media. Police violence and murder is also prevalent in large cities where the mayors, police chiefs, and the majority of officers are black. We're witnessing “state power”; US domestic policy is now a mirror of its foreign policy. The police have been militarized and serve as the de facto domestic arm of the military. While the military has been killing millions abroad for decades with impunity, the police are now doing domestically to American citizens with impunity. In short, we live in a police state, and we have for decades. “If you want to know the future I can tell you now; it’s a boot on your neck.” —George Orwell. In George Floyd’s case it was a knee on his neck.
Caitlin, Thanks for this powerful and sobering piece. Its important that people who have found their way through the looking glass take the time to share the view. Even if it awakens only one person - its worth it. All we can do is stay firmly committed to discerning the truth.
I read an interesting article in April 2020, written by the son of a 40 year PhD in micro biology and virology. The pair also wrote a peer reviewed paper, based on that article, which was published in August 2020.
Fascinating info...and not a little frightening.
