I wonder whether the profound hate expressed by some is not due to turning things around since the history of Palestine/Israel would say Israel has carried out many atrocities towards the Palestinians, and of course the Nakba was the worst. Maybe they engage in this prejudicial hate because there is a need to vilify those that have become their victims, which is what gave them the land of Palestine in the first place. Not uncommon especially in abusive relationships. A man beats up his wife and blames her to take the onus of his own brutality.
