It is interesting this started happening? I mean it would be kind of overt if they were Chinese spy balloons. Ridiculously so, but the fact that they are making a point to bring this to public attention is justification for militarization. That the preemptive mentality will indeed lead to increase defense response and potential war.

My point about this just happening seems coincidental, we could intercept anything off the coast before it reached the US mainland. So they let these things drift around or something? lol. Assuming they are of Chinese origin(I strongly doubt it) The fact that these are occuring frequently is questionable. Why? What is the purpose? There would be less obvious means of intelligence gathering...

The local news indicated that the UFO's weren't aliens, but how would anyone know that unless...they were identified? lol Of course, logically they wouldn't be...but that's to prevent the public from assuming these were anything but enemy items. We randomly shoot down things that we don't know what they are? What next, random birds? Is this how we would spend our defense funds?

I say this against increasing the defense budget and militarization, against war with China. Quite simply, I find the notion ridiculous.

I call it "the Rambo effect" to shoot down things that we don't know what they are.

I agree with that, however it isn't a really good military strategy to simply shoot things down without knowing what they are, it could be dangerous. Strange that our defense really does act like in the movies, however shoot first and ask questions later seem to be the norm in the US.
