There are also 3 candidates barely anyone heard of, one independent (Pastreich) one for the green party (Stein) and a libertarian (Oliver). Would it make a difference if one of these became president, or if Kennedy were to make it, which I doubt. Behind the screens the wheels of the machine turn on, and I think if you as president don't turn along, you will just be eliminated. Yes we can protest or wake people up, but what can be done about a machine put to work 200 or more years ago - we have just watched how the govt applauds the real president of the US.

Jill Stein will get my protest vote again.

I gave her a t-shirt I had made when she visited Austin in 2016.

Dr. Stein wears a small. ;-D

I gave away 100 of them.

Dark green on light green:

Front: I Vote Green

Back: Jill Stein MD President 2016

I had a bumpersticker made in 2016 that says "Vote Jill Not Hill" which I did, and plan to do again.

Hi Marcy

Here’s the thang. If you’ve got the chops to be an actual MEDICAL doctor ( not some shitty “doctor of philosophy” or some such) then you’re more intelligent than 99% of people on the planet. Who wouldn’t want that in a leader?

"Dr. Stein wears a small. ;-D" - does she? How cute!

How little it takes to become a groupie. Would you be called a "Steinie" to complement Swifties?

It was just my $600 of "political speech" that year.

I don't really have it in me to worship anybody; and never have.

US voting has always been a national opinion poll, with multiple steps where humans are chosen to "represent" other groups of humans, but with the ability to make choices and decisions, such as the Electoral College.

What's a "Swiftie"? Is that a John Kerry "Swift-Boat" reference, or maybe a new kind of Kleenex?

;-)

they will not win, but that doesn't matter and no one will find out if they'd make a difference. (and a relatively small team would probably not be able to overcome an entrenched corrupt system with loads of unelected experienced empire lackeys) imo, it is, however another small paper cut. not voting too, but less, imo (they're used to that and experienced in deflecting from small turnouts).

"There are also 3 candidates ...". There's also Mickey Mouse, a perennial one, always worth considering, never given a chance.

I think you should read the many accounts of the real life of your elected representatives in the GOP and Dems. Namely they spend 75% of their working time contacting corporations and rich people in “fundraising efforts”.

In plain English they spend 75% of their time propositioning the rich on collecting bribes. The other 25 % of the time they spend is doing the work of selling you out in office, as payback for the bribes. THAT is what you’d better focus on rejecting.

The Greens and many other progressive left parties are active working at all levels to give people a choice of options for REAL progressive politics. Despite the coordinated efforts of the GOP and Dems duopoly that abuses legislative power to make laws to keep them off ballot.

Reject the corrupt duopoly.

There are over 1,000 Greens in office--so stop this "they only show up every four years" smears. To get our local and state people on the ballot, we're forced to have a national candidate for president. It's the way the system is set up. Greens are working to build grassroots democracy at all levels. Power to the people!

doesn't matter. she won't win. that's not the point. she at least got accidentally arrested in a pro-palestine protest. your rights should not depend on scotus in the first place.

that is what I have been pondering, too. And there will never be a candidate other than what the masters behind the screen want anyway

As to the Russian bot, I am not sure I would vote anything disney

You cannot “give away” a vote you never had. Please re-read Caitlin’s excellent piece you are commenting on. Our votes are POPULARITY VOTES!!! The puppet president has already been chosen FOR YOU.

Fake elections are not “winnable” by anyone not chosen by the MIC.

US voting has never been direct-election, but always a national opinion poll.

Give your honest opinion. It's all you are able to do.
