Can someone please explain to me how ‘people’ justify believing the official narrative to themselves? It totally confounds me ...

Once we recognize that the present system is rotten, that we are ruled by sociopaths, then we have to start making very uncomfortable choices, and those choices will have very real personal and professional consequences.

I can attest to that, having quit an evil job at ABC World News and ending up divorced and living in my car for years... etc. BUTT the upside is that I am a sexy beast now who walks with COATI and I am prepared for farm living.

Cognitive dissonance - they were led to believe, and accepted it - and thus can not accept any contradiction seen with their own eyes or thoughts, as they would first have to admit they were duped. It's more comfortable just to deny reality, and stay tuned in.

As Peter van Buren put it, "It all makes sense if you don't change the channel." So many people I know (if they pay any attention to world events, which many don't) tune in to the news, pundit, or politician who consistently tells them what they want to hear. They have no interest in the notion that such sources are propagandizing them. As one friend said to me many years ago, "Don't confuse me with the facts." A relative who was visiting us and went off to listen to Rush Limbaugh was back about five minutes later. When I inquired why he was back so soon he responded, "I know what I'm supposed to think."

Most of them have spent many years rotting their minds in un-social media, where they have also handed over huge amounts of data insight into how they can be manipulated. So when the state combines with the un-social media companies to publish propaganda, these people are lambs to the slaughter.

Now that's a good one. Very perceptive. The depths of generational psy-op especially in USA is profound.

There is no "justify" necessary. It's just the lesser of all evils. They can sleep at night because of their beer or pills or just exhaustion from their burnout. Many AmeriKans are burnouts and really cannot believe that the big lies being told to them are not the truth.
