No, I'm not trying to water things down. Not in the least. I'm analyzing events at an intellectual level about how what we are witnessing in Israel is far from unique or original - not to water things down or justify actions, but rather to make sense of human behavior. It has been happening for centuries.

I am aghast, horrified, stupified, emotionally devastated, angry, furious, enraged, disillusioned, paralyzed with despair, and a hundred other emotions about what is currently happening.

The reason I say "manufactured racism" is because when one delves deeper into the study of racism, they eventually arrive at the conclusion that there is only one race - the human race; only one species - homosapiens. All the the so-called races have no scientific basis - they are an invention - an excuse used to justify actions and behavior in the pursuit of social status, power, control, money, possession of resources, etc.

Looking at what is going on in Palestine from an intellectual perspective seems to dampen the horror of it all, but I certainly didn't think you were justifying it in any way. My background is in the biological sciences so I'm aware of the fact we all derive from a bunch a apes akin to the chimps, and unfortunate on some level since they are known to be quite violent at times. Love them anyway. That prejudice, that contempt for the Palestinians was on full display when Gallant referenced them as animals, and that was no slip of the tongue. They are not worthy of food, water or fuel, he said, lending justification to the killing of children, babies, the young the old, a whole population. I would rather focus on this since it really conveys the dehumanization of a people by another, a group they never held in regard. Going back to 1948 the Arab world was viewed in the same light, which continues on some level. I really fear that what the Israeli's did, what Netanyahu did and his right wing Likud party will drag us into a wider war, and I hope it wasn't Israel that bombed Iran. This is going to pull in other countries, no regard for that on the part of Israel either of Biden.
